I have been a member of various Gold's Gyms over time and coming back to a Gold's Gym when I moved to Norton a year ago was a welcomed change! They have a great sense of community and commitment to keeping the facility and equipment clean, up to date, and cutting edge with the latest equipment trends, classes, and product offerings. There are a variety of fitness levels that attend the gym, variety of workouts they do, variety of time they spend in the gym and where it is spent, however, everyone seems to have the same drive and there is a great level of respect for people of all fitness levels. So whether you are a beginner or advanced in the fitness world, you will find a second home here. I have not yet attended classes but I can testify that hiring a trainer is well worth it! They are knowledgeable and you see results in the clients they train and will see it in yourself. I like to think I pushed myself to the limit and always found new and challenging routines online, but when I started thinking about a fitness plan before my wedding, I really wanted to hire a trainer to kick things up for me a notch. Everyone kept asking, "why hire a trainer, you could be a trainer?" " You work out so hard, what would a trainer do for you?" "It will be a waste of time and money" It is an investment I do not regret and will keep going as long as I can. I started working with Brian Diercksen in November and joined his team for the 12 Week Challenge. His knowledge and ability to structure a workout that is targeted to each client is amazing. Every work out is a challenge and I have seen great results since we started working together. In the first 6 weeks of the challenge, I was able to increase my fitness test results by doubling my amount of situps, pushups, and squats in the recorded time frame. I lost 6 lbs and 2% body fat in just 6 weeks.. So what did a trainer do for me? Well a WHOLE LOT in 6 weeks! My fiance and I are doing it together, and his results were and are even better than mine. We are both very glad we invested in Brian and ourselves. I joined Gold's Norton almost 1 year ago and honestly can say it is the best gym I have ever belonged to! What makes it so different? It is not just a gym, it is a community. I have met some truly amazing people here- trainers, staff, members, not to mention the fantastic owners! They are constantly improving not only the facility but the programs they offer. The Les Mills classes are top notch and what I truly love is how the instructors always show 3 levels of intensity so everyone can participate! Don't get me wrong, I've been pushed to my fitness limits and have had my butt kicked many a time but I have never felt so encouraged and welcome at a fitness facility! Members here also have a voice, the management takes suggestions seriously and are always willing to listen. I always thought Gold's Gym was a musclehead gym, but I could not have been more wrong. I look forward to my workouts now and know I am always going to see a friendly face! Let's first say I have been a member of just about every gym in the area. I was also employed by one of them years ago and I find this gym the best. I joined three years ago when they had a different owner and things were ok. Since Kris and Frazier have taken over they have turned it into the best gym around. They now have all new weight machines, TRX stations, multiple classes alway changing, and the sauna is now in operation. The owners are always there and are very involved with anything. If there is a problem they are right on top of it. I mad a suggestion about rowing machines and a few months later there they were. It seems like a new place every time I go because they are always adding. The staff is excellent and knowledgeable and very helpful. If you want a gym that isn't intimidating and has something for everyone then this is the place. My whole family goes and we hope to enjoy it for years to come. read more

Patty is the best trainer! I've been seeing her for over 5 years and I love her workout ethic. She is a great listener and adjusts your workout to Accomodate your needs. Patty Always 'checks in' with you before your workout to make sure you are feeling well, and if there have been any changes since your last workout. Patty will also work with you if you are having difficulty following a healthy eating lifestyle. You will never be bored with your workout as Patty changes up your program frequently so that you are working all your muscles! Last, but not least, Patty has the best positive attitude towards life and people. She is always interested in your well being and just an all-round great person to be around. I've been a member of Gold's Norton since March 2013. The ownership of Kris and Fraser along with their fellow staff are beyond awesome. Gold's Norton offers the best price in the country of around $20 a month. Classes are included for an additional $5 a month and taught by world class instructors such as Michelle T, Gail O, Linda D, Maddie L, Tracy, and Cathy L. They're beyond knowledgeable and will answer any questions or concerns along with educating their clients on health and fitness. Currently, I live out in another part of the country and I have tried out several gyms and health clubs. Most are overpriced from $60 -$90 and do not provide the friendly staff and members that Gold's Norton is well known for. I would recommend this gym to people of all levels and fitness goals. read more

I really enjoy going to Gold's. It's been consistently updated and is worth every penny. The new owners have done a great job and it is a pleasant place to go and workout. The Planet Fitness is Norton turned into a dump and graduating from Bridgewater State left me without a nice gym. I didn't even bother getting a membership my last semester since Gold's is much larger and has similar equipment. The $25 monthly membership is a great deal for a nice facility and friendly staff. Another point to make is the membership fee keeps the younger kids away so the gym is more professional and less of a high school hangout. No stupid lunk alarms either. It noticeably keeps improving and I have no problem recommending it to friends and family. read more

I've been going to Gold's Gym in Norton for over 8 months now and I love it! This place feels like home. The trainers are knowledgeable, nice and very open to helping you with anything you are doing at the gym. As a personal trainer and bodybuilder myself, I find this gym to be quite open and competitor friendly. Some gyms shy away from attracting or welcoming other trainers and competitors as they feel they make try to take clients from them. This gym opened their doors to me and I have never felt more comfortable! Especially being that I train first thing in the morning, I have the same crew of men and women there almost everyday and it is always a great sight to see them. I have been working out for some time. I have been to many gyms and I must say that Golds Gym Norton is the best gym around. Most gyms have the same equipment and you can get a workout in any of them. Golds is extremely clean and when equipment breaks which they all do eventually they are repaired fairly quick. The thing that keeps me going to gold is the employees. Always courteous, helpful, accomodating and if they don't have the answer they make sure they get it for you. The front desk employees which include Trisha Harren and Ryan Benjaminsen are awesome! There is no need to look at any other gym! Gold's Gym in Norton is the best gym around. The owners have fostered this environment of comraderie that helps hold you accountable for your fitness and health. The instructors and staff are motivating and friendly and when you come inside, they make you feel welcome and at home. Group fitness classes here have truly been my saving grace, as the instructors are phenomenal! They are fun, hilarious, and make an effort to know your name. It really holds you accountable for when you miss a class, you know that someone will say "hey, where were you last week?" You definitely won't want to say "I was too lazy to get off my couch." This review is for Gold's Personal Trainer, Bridget Faucher. I have been training with Bridget for the past few months. LOVE her! She is always motivating, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. We rarely do the same exercises that we did in the last session. She mixes things up and keeps it interesting, making me want to go back for more. I have had knee issues for the past few years and Bridget, who is also a Physical Therapist, not only works around that, but has strengthened my knee tenfold so I can do all sorts of new exercises now without pain. I am stronger and healthier now and I am so thankful for her help and motivation. I would highly recommend her to anyone! read more

Bridget Faucher is an amazing Physical Therapist. I've been to several PT's and have not had the kind of work she performs done before. She's extremely hands on and super supportive. The depth of her knowledge is vast and she tailor's each session for the individual. Being active and working out are a necessity to me so when I was confronted with a back injury, Bridget helped me get back on my feet, literally! I'm grateful for each session with Bridget as she didn't just treat my back, she treated everything that related to it. If you have an injury I'd highly recommend seeing Bridget as she would give you the proper tools and guidance to safely feel better. read more

I have been a member of Gold's Gym for 3 years and have seen consistent improvement since Kris and Fraser have taken over. The classes are great and they are always looking to improve and add classes. The most recent improvement is the addition of a physical therapist, Bridget Faulker. I started hung to her for back pain since I have arthritis and she has identified foot issues that have been a contributing factor. She has really lessened the pain and strengthened my core. Bridget is personal, professional, and has so much knowledge of how all the muscles effect each other. I would recommend get to anyone! read more

I have been a member for over 5 years. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable and the trainers are always trying out new ways to challenge the clients. The gym is clean and the juice bar is an added plus. There are always plenty of challenges or classes available as well as group sessions with the trainers. No matter what your fitness level is there is a workout, class, or trainer here for you. Like any gym membership contract you have to read the fine print to know what you are signing up for - and that goes for any gym. I've never had a problem with my contract. read more

The equipment is pretty good. Place seems clean. I was a member for a few months but terminated after they charged my boyfriend and I a $40 fee to keep the club up. $80 for the 2 of us. Not such a cheap membership after all. Trainers seem bored all the time. Theres usually no one at the front desk and even if there is they don't say Hi. Over all just ok. It's just kinda quiet and boring for lack of a better explanation. They also don't allow kids under 18 to work out. A major problem when you have athletic teens. read more

I love Golds. It's my happy place. I go everyday after work Monday-Friday. The atmosphere is very welcoming. I know the place like the back of my hand. It's the place where you can achieve your goals. Their up to date equipment allows you to strive to become stronger and grow with ease. This review is for Gold's Instructor, Abby Manzoni. I've been taking her body pump classes for a while now, and I've never seen someone command the room quite like her. She makes the program easy to follow, and at the same time pushes me and members alike to get all they can out of the class. I've taken classes from other intstructors, but Abby stands alone as the best bar none. Been a member for almost 2 1/2 years, and it is hands down the best gym in the area. Something for everyone whether you like to do classes, small group training, personal training, or just want to do your own routine with a vast amount of cardio, weight machines, and free weights at your disposal. Things happen, the battery died on the headset so she sent someone out so she could get the class going! We enjoy a cool down, that's how a workout should end.
