There's not only enough selection to try something new fairly often, but also for you to have a draft version of that one fancy beer you bought a six pack of years ago. I got to try a Neighbor of the Beast beer and sip on a shot of Blanton's whiskey for a pretty reasonable price. I was anticipating an ambiance similar to Oak Street Draft House, but I was wrong. The inside just seems like awkward dead space. The layout is bad, and there were a lot more frat-type dudes there than I expected. Nothing wrong with that, it's just not a clean crossover of the OSDH crowd. Outside is a lot better, although I'm sure they could squeeze some more picnic tables out there. I understand that COVID has changed a lot in the way businesses operate but our experience at East Side was inexcusable. Our group has bounced around several locations around the DFW area and have never had a bad experience at any of them until we went to East Side. Our party was split between two tables due to its size. Even though we were outside several of our group were told we couldn't even stand and talk to our friends around the table. After being told "You need to sit at your table" several of our group decided to leave after being treated the way they were. My wife got up to ask someone in our group at the other table a question and was quickly told to put her mask on and sit back down. At that point we got our check and left. We be never been for lack of a better term herded by staff to sit at tables, told we can't get up and socialize with our own party. Loved my visit here! Everything was perfect- great selection of beer (SO many... something for everyone!), they also have a full bar and will make a cocktail (I didn't have one but saw others), staff really nice and efficiently helped the steady stream of people getting drinks, huge patio with pretty lights and tons of seating, and food trucks!
