After kids driving and using it, I didn't know if it would ever look good again, but they successfully removed every trace of sticky, crumbly kid residue and restored it back to something I am glad to pick up my friends in again. The water just beads right off and it feels good to know that my car is clean and protected from the elements! It is definitely worth the investment whether you plan on keeping and loving your car, or even if you are preparing it to trade in! I will definitely go back to keep my car tidy and protected. Thank you!!!

The exterior was washed & clay barred... but not waxed or sealed, very disappointed with the results. White chalky residue was splashed onto areas under the front hood and other areas (not cleaned up). Engined was cleaned and detailed prior to my appointment by myself, yet I was charged for it when obviously not needed? Overall: *Exterior was cleaned. *Interior detail was exemplary. *Engine detail was not needed and the engine compartment had residue from polishing compound splashes. *Windows cleaned. *Trunk not vacuumed/detailed. *Wheels not cleaned on the backside. *Tire shine applied. *Water would not bead on the exterior (a desired and expected effect when waxed). I was told that I did not ask/pay to have the paint "sealed" & that pollen on the car can causes that?!? Cost: $900+ Very disappointed.

Patterson's is the only garage in Ithaca, NY that I would recommend for servicing your vehicle…read more It may be more expensive than the average garage in the area, but with increased cost comes increased quality. The technicians are knowledgeable, friendly, and much more reasonable than dealerships I have dealt with. I have had my vehicle serviced here many times since I starting living in Ithaca, for a variety reasons including coolant leakage, issues with brakes, and a broken leaf-spring, all of which were effectively resolved thanks to Patterson's!

I booked an oil change with Patterson's last week. During the time my car was at the shop they let…read moreme know that one of my lights on the back was out and offered to replace it. I said yes, thinking the cost would be worth the time it would take me to go buy the bulb and figure out how to install it. The oil change with the bulb replacement was $160. If that wasn't bad enough when I got home I realized the light on the back wasn't even installed properly. I went back to the shop to get it fixed, something that took 30 seconds. This was insane to me. A task that they initially billed .3 hours for to take 30 seconds to redo told me I was being exorbitantly overcharged. I was able to get a refund on the bulb but I feel as though they thought I wasn't smart and didn't understand I was being scammed. Do not go to Patterson's! I will add, I had purchased a car from Sun Auto in Cortland (which I will NEVER go to again!) When I went in for an inspection and oil change, he noticed my subframe was rotted out and told me so that I could get it fixed as soon as possible. If it wasn't for him, I would still be driving on an unstable subframe. I love Ithaca Auto Service! :)

The owner was very nice and all the techs were knowledgeable. They also provided a loaner car since the job took longer than working hours the day of. The cost is a little steep on parts and labor is about the same if not better than anywhere in the area. The only reason I didn't give a perfect review is because I bought OEM parts thinking I could do the job myself and they would not use customer provided parts I had already bought. So the job took an extra day for their parts to ship and I have to return the parts I bought. The upside to this is they back their parts with a year or 12000 mile guarantee. That aside, I am glad I took my truck there and I would do it again if such a situation arises again. I would recommend them to anyone.

First snow happened and my college kid got a nail in the all season tires. Grateful to the reddit…read morecommunity for suggesting Wilcox Tire. Good tires and brakes are everything for Ithaca's hills. AAA put the spare tire on. Wilcox patched the tire, put the spare back under the vehicle and put on the Bridgestone Blizzaks Snow tires. They were able to get the tires the next day and get them on the rims and balanced. Total cost was just under $1k, but these are the best tires on the market. Wilcox even gave a 1/2 off tire repair. They put the seasonal tires in the back of the car nicely wrapped in a plastic tire bag and said to come back in Spring to put them back on. Wish they had onsite tire storage, but found a small 5x5 storage locker at Bolt Storage for $20 a month in Newsfield, NY (20 minutes south of Ithaca and 1/2 the price).
