a meal in a plastic container

I order sesame chicken, Chicken Almond Ding, and General Tso Chicken. The Chicken Almond Ding had more celery then anything else and the General Tso Chicken wasnt spicy at all.

Their "noodles"

Horrible! Ordered chow mein through door dash and it doesn't even come with mein, which means noodles! Called the restaurant and directly to resolve it and at first the waitress said it is too far to re-deliver. Then I talked to the owner and he said chow mein is actually not noodles but these fried wonton strips that they gave me... Come on, I'm Chinese, I've had 40 years of Chinese food and I know these are not chow mein. Then he proceeded to say the "Americans" eat this kind of noodles. What? I've been living in the US for 25 years and I haven't had this kind of "noodles" either! Or am I wrong? Anyone who's had chow mein here could you please lmk what kind of "noodles" they serve?

Not any current reviews here. Hubby and I went tonight for dinner looking for a nice dinner I…read moredidn't have to cook. I'd had lunch here once before and it was ok enough. Appetizers: Crab rangoons were huge and tasty. The wonton was a little tough in spots and not sure how much crabmeat was in there, but the size made up for it. Pot stickers were really yummy. We enjoyed these immensely. I give these an A. Dinner: He ordered broccoli chicken, a safe choice. He thought it was awful and tasteless. I never saw anyone salt Chinese food before! Claimed the chicken was mushy. I tasted it and had to agree that the brown sauce was pretty flavorless. I had the Szechuan triple. It was tastier due to the spicy seasoning but I had to agree that the chicken and the beef, while tender, seemed a bit mushy like it was soaked too long or something. I'd give it a C because I was hungry. Atmosphere/Service: Very clean. We were first dinner guests tonight. Waitress literally looked us and without greeting just tossed a couple menus in the booth for us. Food did arrive quickly after we ordered. I was informed there were no chopsticks. She did refill our water but never asked us how things were. Service gets a C. I don't think I'll be able to get my husband to try Hong Kong again. We've had good, fresh Chinese food before and this really missed the mark. Very disappointed.

Great hidden gem! The food was awesome and the location felt very warm and welcoming.read more

Have a family member that recommended we go here for lunch. She said that this location was much…read morebetter than the Cedar Falls one. Hmmm.... Large fans were running when we walked in. Not sure why because it was in the mid 70s outside. Friend got the shrimp in lobster sauce (which I thought was brave). I got the orange chicken. We both ordered white rice but it came out with fried rice. We didn't send it back but I think the white rice would have been just as well. Fried rice needed a LOT of soy sauce and there were some bits of mystery meat in it. My orange chicken was OK. I didn't try the shrimp in lobster sauce but it should have been served in a bowl, not on a serving platter. The egg rolls were just weird and were pink inside. There was a bit of cabbage with whatever the pink stuff was. Service was good though. Order at counter and food is delivered to table. (We did have to shout over the fans.) We forgot to pick up silverware and the server grabbed that and some duck sauce for us. Fortune cookies delivered to table after we ate. A couple of large work group next to us raved about their meals so you might give it a go. The lo mein noodles that were delivered to them looked great. I will probably suggest another spot if we're back in Waterloo.
