I made an appointment to get my Truck aligned and had to re schedule it they guy on the phone said no problem and changed the appointment then when I dropped it off there was some confusion on scheduling, I ended up leaving my truck with them they did a great job on the alignment my truck was clean afterwards no greasy fingerprints on the inside or outside of the truck, when they called me to pick it up since it was my first time with them they tried to up sell me on a bunch of stuff that I just had serviced my self without testing or doing a thru inspection. Overall good experience just look out for the extras they want to add and make them stick to there word. read more

I rarely just hand out 5 star reviews. Here you go Lamar Brothers, your 5 stars. No appointment, just a walk with a few questions. I was pointed in the right direction, got my answers and my tires balanced for 40 bucks. I had one bad tire they noticed as they were working (my wobbly problem) and balanced the spare to put on at no extra charge...sweet. The help here are all professionals that now there jobs, working as a team to get it all done quickly. I wasn't the only customer in the place and yet no body seemed to be waiting for help. There kinda out of way of sight so you might not think of them first for alignment or your tire needs but you should. So any how, I was out of there in about 30 minutes, problem solved. I was looking for a commercial tire center to get the six wheels on my motorhome. Couldn't find the last place I went so I went to East Bay. Nothing but trouble. No QA on the work. We have been targeted by neighborhood vandals to include having nails in multiple tires on my daughter's car and the tire slashed on one of mine. When my daughter tried calling other tire places in Salinas, the dramatically tried to up sell get. We took our cars to East Bay. They helped us immediately, they repaired all 3 tires under $100 and rotated my daughter's tires. We've used them a few times in the past, but now we're not going to anyone else for tires. read more

I got a flat entering Salinas a few nights ago. I had to get it fixed early Monday morning. There were a couple shops on South Main that were open but couldn't help me until later in the morning. One of the mechanics recommended I head over to Lamar Brothers. I showed up at 7:30. They quickly took care of it and I was on my way before 8:00! I almost gave them 4 Stars because I expected them to put a cheap/easy plug in the tire. Instead they took the tire off the rim and did a full patch. It costed $24. I didn't expect to pay that much. I gave them 5 stars anyway because I didn't want to penalize them just because I am a cheapskate. read more

The guys at Lamar Bros are the best...can't emphasize that enough. Getting a rotation done on my 32' commercial trailer (EZPZ Video Game Parties) was a breeze. Plenty of room and could pull through/around the lot without having to maneuver the trailer. The vast majority of shops in our area can't really accommodate trailers this size; Lamar Bros was a huge find for me. Will definitely be back, and not just with the trailer either. read more

I have been going to Lamar Bros for several years for tires for my diesel fleet. This time I came in for three new tires and a balance. I received a call letting me know that both the ball joints in my Ford 350 were bad and that they wouldn't do the alignment until I got the ball joints done. The quote was for $975 after I had already spent $675 on tires. I got a second opinion and the ball joints were just fine. I called them to complain and they offered me a free alignment. Good thing I got the second professional opinion or else I would be out $1,000! Now I need to go somewhere else and spend more of my time to get an alignment. I will NEVER go back to these crooks again. They get zero stars for being rip off artists but yelp makes me choose a one star minimum. After all these years I have supported them with my business fleet of trucks. I am disqusted that they have no integrity. Do not waste yourtime or money supporting Lamar Bros in Salinas. read more

This place is a joke. The prices they ask are ridiculous, things people speak highly of are the same things that ATC does for free anyways. I went in to ask about 4 tires for my sedan and I'm met with "unlike other places here in town, we don't offer cheap Chinese tires" I was shocked, I never asked for "cheap Chinese tires" and to be told that and have it followed by a quote of $1200 for "stock tires" that match what the car came with is a joke!!!! They weren't even the same tires my car had brand new! Who falls for this crap? I don't know the gentlemen's name, but it was a tall , light, over weight man. Under 50 id say. read more

I live in Hollister and had a small tractor that needed a tire repair. Everything sounded good at the beginning, so I asked them to do a service call. When they came to repair it the tire man instead of unwinding the stem holder on the tube, just pulled it out with some vice grip like pliers and yanked it out. He would not bend over to take off the old one. It was easier to just pull it out standing up. Horrible/Lazy. Cost me another $65. The salesperson George would not acknowledge the problem just wanted me to pay for the tube. He didn't care that one of his employees ruined it. He just cared about the money.
