He explained everything so well I felt informed & included in the maintenance of my own vehicle. When I came in to get my front two tires changed, Caleb noticed & explained a lug stud on a back tire was rusted through. I realized after this was due to lazy cross-threading at Big O Tires last year. Caleb went out of his way to replace the parts for a great price & quickly (but carefully!) did the extra service. He made sure my car was in great shape & safe to drive before he said I was good to go. Metric Motors is now my go to auto repair shop. The entire staff was so friendly & if you get the chance, make sure to ask for Caleb!

It has been my good luck and privilege to find UpTown Auto Repair in Loveland. I recently moved to…read moreLoveland from Boulder County and have recently inherited my father's 2007 Mercedes R350, It was kept meticulously but languished in his advancing years. The local Mercedes dealership was hard to book for even a basic service, and with their large amount of dubious feedback, they had amassed, made me think twice before dealing with then. So after looking around on the internert, I found Uptown Auto, and I sent my beloved heirloom in for an inspection and long-term service. They were very honest, completing a very comprehensive service and inspection and only came up with two possibilities for future problems for my 110k mile car. Powersteering pump which we just replaced, he showed me the old part and explained the consequences for being vigilant, plus they were cool enough to keep my car for me an extra day (inside and safe) due to some scheduling problems. Next, we will do shocks and another full service in the fall. They realize I'm former military as well as attending Univesity and have worked with me accordingly financially and with thoughtful servicing planning. They have been more than friendly they have been neighborly, much like my experience with the people of Loveland, I'm continually happy to say. I'm very proud to recommend this locally owned business.

Got it back after a few short days and will be getting some further work done as time goes on. This truck had belonged to my former landlord whereupon his daughter sold it to me as the old boy had gone to a retirement facility. In his later years maintenance and repairs had been let go but being sturdy and strong running, I bought it and am slowly bringing it up to snuff and it is good in the event I should need to do any long distance traveling with it. . Attended the new shop opening, located just off I-25 and Colorado route 66, where I met Mr. Maggio's family and some of the other customers who call Hands On Autotech their home for vehicle repair and servicing. I first went there based on the recommendation of the Martino troubleshooter show on 630 KHOW AM radio; 10 AM - 2PM, M-F. My opinion is that Tom's shop takes something of a scientific approach to vehicle repair and will go more in depth with an analyses than another shop I had been to for an issue with my '99 Tahoe. As an EV owner himself I gather that Tom is up on the current tech, perhaps more than some other places who would have men of my age (68) from the "dinosaur era" of automotive tech working at their shops.

There was a problem with the communication surrounding the tow transfer so I started my experience with Hands on Auto Tech with some trepidation. Tom handled the situation and we moved onto the real problem with my truck. The diagnosis was the clutch so I approved the repair and waited a few days for the parts to arrive and the repair to proceed. After the clutch was replaced another problem with the operation of the clutch was discovered so I agreed to the additional repair and another day for repair. After a week I was reunited with my truck. The repair was costly, lengthy and unexpected but coming out the other side of this experience I learned a couple of lessons. 1. If you have your vehicle towed to a shop follow the tow truck to the shop and verify the transfer. 2. Communication and follow up throughout the repair are key Tom was great to deal with and I feel that he was honest with me about the repairs needed and the cost of those repairs. Having recently moved to the area I feel my vehicle maintenance and repair needs can be checked off the list. I can recommend Hands on Auto Tech to anyone needing an honest repair facility and Tom as a good guy to deal with.

The mechanic, Danny, put a lot of work into troubleshooting the issue. He figured out that the fuel filter I installed had a small defect in the rubber gasket at the top. This defect was allowing air to get sucked into the fuel line so that the injectors never got proper fueling.
