When I tried to explain which one it was and showed the tech he told me he had to pull the tire and remove the fender. I said " isn't that a big job", he said "yes". I took my keys and went home and changed it in five minute according to the You Tube video. I should have not been so lazy. Removed a few T20's, bent the cowling, removed the dust cap and changed the bulb, Don't waste your time, I felt that I was being taken advantage of.

I bought these tires on a Monday. I'd been coordinating with Troy (who seemed like a manager) since the previous Friday. He was friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout. I originally planned to come in Saturday but couldn't make it, so I called Troy as a courtesy to reschedule for that Monday. He said no problem and told me to bring the car in by 5:15 PM--we'd get it done that day. I rushed to arrive right at 5:00 PM to try respect their time, what little I could. Unfortunately, Troy wasn't there when I arrived. The technician I spoke with seemed put off when I said I was there to have the tires installed that evening, almost like it was an inconvenience. They did agree to do the work, and it took about an hour. When I was rung up, the total came to just over $1,004--about $20 more than Troy's quote. I didn't make a fuss; I just wanted to get home with my new tires. As soon as I hit the highway, the car started shaking badly above 60 mph. When I inspected the wheels at home, I noticed the driver-side tires were missing wheel weights. The paperwork also recommended an alignment--even though I'd just had one done the previous Friday.(I don't think they even checked) I was extremely disappointed and didn't want to return to that location. Thankfully, another Big O Tires branch fixed the balancing issue quickly and professionally at no extra charge. Overall, my experience here was not pleasant. I'm grateful they squeezed me in late, but the lack of attention to detail--especially on brand-new tires--could have caused serious problems if I hadn't noticed. I'm sure this was probably just a one-off; the reviews here are generally decent, and I likely caught them on a bad day. Troy was the bright spot; he was genuinely helpful and communicative. He's the only reason this isn't a 1-star review. .....Maybe I'm being a little too generous with my rating, but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt.

Secondly - AWESOME guys. No "pushy" sales people, no grubby guys with grease all over them. Just NICE people who are also personable and nice to talk with. Great people, great service and a nice place to wait with a movie playing as well. How can it get any better than that? I'll tell you how! They open at 7:30a so I was able to go before work!!!! At the end of the day, most of us want our cars to run smoothly, and to run that way for a long time. When you bring your car in for repairs or maintenance, you want a balance of speed and detail. You don't want your mechanic to cut corners, but you can't afford to spend all day waiting for a repair to be done. You want someone who will diagnose the problem quickly and get it repaired promptly. We've all heard horror stories about shady garages bilking unsuspecting customers out of their hard-earned money. All you want is a garage that's honest, one that will provide pricing that's fair, go over pricing ahead of time, and simply keep their word. Not only that, but it seems like more and more companies these days go out of their way to provide poor customer service. You simply want to deal with a company that will resolve an issue, admit if they made a mistake, and always do the right thing. At Loveland Tire & Service, we get that. That's why we're committed to providing our customers with the highest quality service and a passion for loving your car as much as we love ours. Our highly skilled team of mechanics is all about keeping you car running at peak performance, and doing it at a price that's just right...

They told me I needed to bring the car in for an inspection, which I did. They said they perform a full inspection, and after a few hours, they gave me a report stating that, in addition to the rear brakes, it was "urgently needed" with a red exclamation icon to replace the water pump/alternator belts. The person at the front desk, XXXX was very impatient to have me decide whether I would ask them a service or not at the spot. They attached a photo and claimed the belts had cracks and damage, but the photo was unclear. Since I don't know much about cars, I agreed to the replacement. After the service was completed and I paid, I noticed the receipt said "serpentine belts replaced," which alarmed me because I had replaced the serpentine belt just the previous month. I didn't realize that the water pump belt is referred to as the serpentine belt. I went back to question them, and XXXX at the shop showed me the old belts. Of course they looked almost new (one completely IS new) and had no visible cracks or damage. I told him, "You replaced the belt that I had just replaced last month." XXXX responded by just saying, "Sorry, it looked damaged," but did not provide a satisfactory explanation. After this experience, I had my battery--which they had diagnosed as "weak"--checked at another shop. The technician there told me the battery was fine and did not need to be replaced. This experience felt like a complete rip-off. I will not return to this shop. If you are not knowledgeable about cars, be very very cautious, and always ask for another opinion at another shop(s). Based on my experience, they may recommend unnecessary repairs.

I have spent MANY thousands of dollars at Scott's trying to fix problems that have cropped up on these cars. While I have great things to say about their customer service, especially the terrific customer service representatives Chrissy and Harper, and about the hard-working technicians, the beautiful shop facility, and the availability of loaner cars (a HUGE perc), I do feel the need to express a couple of concerns that have me questioning whether I will use Scott's again. Scott's is not cheap. Far from it, and I've been repeatedly shocked by the very high estimates I am given. It seems wrong to me that Scott's automatically does a full examination of a customer's vehicle, to identify all problems/possible mecanical problems and they typically prepare a clear and detailed report with photos and recommendations, even when one brings a vehicle in simply to fix a very specific problem. I wouldn't mind if Scott's did a complete examination for free, or offered it as as an extra diagnostic service that the customer can request. BTW, I do realize that a whole car exam takes time and expertise. It also seems like it's a great way for Scott's to get more business/income by looking for and finding problems. I've also taken in my car to have something fixed, and even though to my frustration they could not figure out the cause, I ended up paying close to 2K to repair other things they found (that I grugingly agreed to have them fix). So I ended up 2K poorer and with the same problem - a recurring loud buzzing sound behind the dashboard. Finally, I have to mention one other thing - I needed my old car's foggy headlights restored, and Scott's said they's do it for $150 or $160. A simple Google search confirmed what I thought - anyone can fix the problem quickly by hand polishing the headlight lenses with a rubbing compound and a foam or microfiber cloth; this easily restores their clarity. It costs very little to buy a bottle of rubbing compound and do it yourself. So my question is - why doesn't Scott's staff, who know about the easy DIY fix, tell customers about it and give them the choice to save a little money? I'm sure that it takes a technician much less than an hour to polish two headlights, and it seems they charge two man hours to do the work. Being open and showing customers that you are not trying to exploit them would have a HUGE impact on people's trust in your company. Scott's charges top dollar, and generally does good work, but I feel very exploited (and have felt that way before) by the things I described above.

We were told the transmission was fine. We took it to another shop where we discovered the transmission was shot.
