Ok. They made a mistake. Big enough that the first time I started writing this it was going to be scathing and a one star review. I was going to be a legitimized Karen and ask for a manager. You would too if it would have happened to you. But instead of having to voice my complaint, THEY approached ME and said we screwed up and we are going to make it right. They offered a solution beyond my expectations and while I was a customer of theirs for years, they made me a loyal customer for life. The details are not important (mainly because I don't need copy cats abusing my new found loyalty to DT.) Not to mention the chain, in the past, giving me discounts on tires that didn't last as long as they should have and giving me a discount because of the tire warranty and not on the one they offer you. Review for Discount Tire - Loveland, CO I normally don't write reviews, but after my recent experience, I feel it's important to share the concerns I ran into so they can hopefully be addressed. I recently purchased four new tires from this location. When I picked up my vehicle, I found the tires were left covered in a white residue from the lubricant used during installation. Despite efforts by the staff to clean it off after I pointed it out, the residue remained. I was given a $25 refund to cover a car wash, but something like this should have been caught and corrected before the car was returned to me. On top of that, they installed the wrong size windshield wiper blades on my Mini Cooper -- 21" and 22" blades instead of the correct 18" and 19" sizes. This should have been an obvious mismatch for a smaller car like mine. A couple of days later, I returned because I couldn't reset the tire pressure monitoring system. At that time, they found that one of the new tires had been inflated to 60 psi -- much higher than the recommended 39 psi. Overinflated tires can pose serious safety risks, and this level of carelessness is concerning. It's disappointing that so many mistakes were made during a single visit. Attention to detail is critical when dealing with vehicle safety, and I expected a higher standard of service. I hope management will take steps to improve training and quality control moving forward. read more

In November - I ended up buying 4 tires for my Kia Niro (about $800) from Discount Tires - and then I ended up buying a new Ioniq - and I went back to Discount Tires in Dec and had them swap out the rims and the 20" tires for 17" rims and 17" tires to the tune of nearly $2000. So ... about $3000 in business. Today I went to have them to take the 20" wheels off the rims and they had the nerve to charge me $20 -- well - guess what - never buying from them again -- not the dealership issue ... it is typical corporate bullshit. read more

My car had just been serviced (not by Discount Tire) and the tech recommended I get new tires due to the fact I had little or no tread left. I tend to drive a bit aggressively and with winter coming I decided to do it sooner than later. I used Tire Rack in the past where I used to live and they recommended Discount Tire. The one I chose was the one that was closest to me (still about an hour away). I parked my car and walked in. There were a few folks ahead of me but I was quickly waited on. We talked about what my tech said so the sales person and I went out so he could take the tread readings. Yes, they were very low, and yes, they I get some credit for the replacements since they were less than half way through the warranty. I sat down after passing my key and was preparing myself for a 45-60 min wait. It was MUCH sooner than that when they were done. We went over everything they did, showed me the credit I got from the warranty, and explained their policies. The gentleman who had waited on me was professional and put up with all my questions. [Feb 2023] Lowering my rating by a star. It was bad enough when they started pushing wiper blades. On my last visit, after finding out that I had already had new tires and wiper blades, the clearly-disappointed sales guy tried to sell me new lug nuts. I would encourage anyone to STRONGLY push back against wiper blades, lug nuts, extra tire warranties, or whatever other extra-money-making scheme they have thought up lately. This is the kind of "bright idea" that bean-counters come up with. It's hard to measure the cost of making customers mad, but it's real. Something the bean-counters never include in their calculations. [Original review] I don't get my tires anywhere else. Their after-the-sale services like rebalancing, rotation, and flat fixing are all FREE. I always skip the optional extended warranty; the one time I needed it (and had bought it) my 16K-mile tires were "too worn out" to replace (according to the Longmont Discount Tire store). read more

A big thank you to the crew at the Loveland Discount Tire! 700 miles from home on a new set of tires installed days before my trip with one tire rapidly losing air, I stopped in. The store was swamped with all bays rotating one vehicle after another, I asked if there was any chance they could check my leaking tire, "bring it back in one hour and give us one hour to work it in". I did, they did, and back on the road I went. The culprit was a cracked TPMS retaining sleeve/nut from the new tire(s) install days prior. Thank you! Just bought tires for my Toyota Tacoma at a cost over $1,000. Lot of money but I suppose tires just cost and arm and a leg these days. The installation went well and I did the survey you guys asked with a five star rating. Just a couple of days after buying the tires I noticed on one side of the truck no value stem caps were screwed on. These caps are important to keep out dirt and allow the value stems to stay clean. Okay, not a big deal if it only happened once. It happens every time I go in whether it's from purchase or re-balancing. I go in so infrequently I forget to check thinking they will finish the job but they never do. No exaggeration when I say never. They have care for my two trucks and also trailers and they never put the caps back on. I hope you guys understand the job can be perfect but not taking the extra 20 seconds it would take to put the caps on can be a deal breaker when it keeps happening. Pleased with the tires but displeased with not ever finishing the job. Once you get paid all bets are off it seems. You guys also lost my lug nut key a few years back but when I realized it was missing time had gone by and you guys told me so sad to bad. Not cool guys! read more

Scheduled an appointment days in advance for 12 on a Saturday. Came in and they went out to take a look at the car and take some notes. Mentioned that it was a leak in my tire (three different times). We're told it would take no more than 20-30 minutes. Waited in the lobby for an hour and a half being told it would take "just another ten minutes" for the next 40 minutes. We watched them bring in two cars before ours was brought in even though one of those two was a walk in- we heard him say they had no appointment just needed their tires checked. It was ridiculous. So this has been my 5 star tire shop for over a decade. Coming here and watching the staff hustle and have fun while doing a pretty hard job gives me the feeling that my business is appreciated and my time is also appreciated. Here's my most recent experience; I ordered a set of tires and made an appointment however when I arrived for my appointment I was informed the tires hadn't come in yet. I was offered a different set and I really appreciated the offer but declined and rescheduled my appointment for the following week. When the tires came in the manager actually called and apologized for not having them earlier and assured me that the tires were now in his store and I could come in when I was ready. I thanked him and said I would just keep my appointment and I really appreciated the personal touch and professionalism. Today I'm here for my scheduled appointment and the tires are here and it's a match made in heaven. The staff is awesome, the place is clean, cold water to drink, nice music playing, air conditioner keeping it cool and a steady stream of customers. I'd suggest making an appointment online or by phone. The staff is super helpful and knowledgeable too, I overheard several phone conversations where the staff asked questions, listened to the customer and then made optional choices available based on the customer's needs, folks, this is true customer service at its best. Most of the bad reviews I read seemed to all be poor communication issues which is usually not always just on the business but usually customers with outrageous expectations and lack of accountability issues. I recently returned from being in Colorado for almost 10 years and used Discount tire exclusively. They always took real good care of my cars and grew to depend on that. After returning to AZ naturally I expected the same reliability. Apon arriving to AZ I scheduled my tire rotation on my first car at the Peoria & 67ave location. To my disappointment they left off the stem caps on one side and left grease hand prints on the same side. I notified the store management and didn't even get so much as an apology. On my other car I took it to another locaction on (91st and Northern) figuring the odds where in my favor. I needed a rotation and a nail puncture repair. The rotation appears done satisfactory but the knucklehead that unmounted the tire to repair the puncture scratched up the rim like he was trying to unmount it with a primary. ItI never bothered to speak with management, what the point. apparent Discount Tire of Arizona leaves much to be desired and I will be doing my own rotations and puncture repairs from now on. read more

I had a rear tire that the pressure kept dropping and I thought I would have to replace the tire. I went to Discount Tire in Loveland and the gentleman was amazing. I explained the issue and he said "let's see if its something we can patch up without having to replace the tire". I was so happy at the thought. They took the car in and about 45 minutes later, drove it out, came to me and said they took out the screw that was stuck in it and patched it up. I asked what the cost of that was and he said "no charge". I was shocked! That is what I call true customer service. I really appreciated that and will always go to Discount Tires from now on. Total ding rings work here. Morons. Tried for a freaking half hour to get a set of Michelin's that were in the store. Kid has me go to phone to set up an account to save a measly 110.00. Nothing works. Idiot insisting I need to use phone to buy tires. No less than 4 attempts later I'm FUMING told them all a few choice insults and stormed out! I'd rather just pay for outstanding service than deal with idiots who don't give a rip about providing good service. Very disappointing experience. I requested a tire rotation, and after arriving home I noticed they had only rotated the passenger rear tire to the passenger front. My car only has front disk brakes which leaves brake dust on the front rims and not the rear rims, which is how I was able to determine that the driver side tires weren't rotated. Immediately returned to the shop and was told I would have to wait an hour and a half, so I made an appointment for the following day. After returning home again, I noticed the front driver side tire had not been rotated to the rear again. I contacted Discount Tire again, and they told me they had "followed the directions I gave them". I will never buy tires or use Discount Tires services again at any location. I could have purchased a torque wrench and rotated the tires myself, if I knew I so much of my time was going to be wasted. read more

Great experience. I picked up a screw on my way from Denver to Loveland, we got into Loveland at about 3:45 PM on a Saturday. I called over to discount tire and they said it would be about an hour wait time, and to bring it in, as long as I picked it up before 5 PM. I brought it in around 4 o'clock, with 10 other cars ahead of me, and they were able to squeeze in my flat repair and tire rotation just in time for me to pick it up before 5 o'clock. It was a very good customer ser, I was very happy with the visit and the overall company -- the flat repair and rotation were both free, so my wallet was happy too. read more

I don't write reviews on Yelp, but Discount Tire in Loveland deserves a perfect rating. Now for my shpeal... I ordered some new wheels which were discontinued and therefore on a killer deal. However when they shipped to the store, I was never contacted and when I called and picked them up, they had difficulty finding one wheel. Since this was not consistent with my previous experiences with DT, I chatted with Bill the store manager. He felt bad for not maintaining better contact and fulfilling my expectations, and he offered to hook me up with ANY tires for free!
