Late last October I was planning to come in for an alignment after getting new tires, elsewhere. I felt a bit of a shake in the car & was concerned as I was traveling out of Cali'rado. The tech and then mechanic, maybe MGR increased my fear of trouble, then tried to rip me off saying I needed Steering & Suspension Control Arms, both sides (I had previously done elsewhere 1 side already) along with quotes for brake service exchange and the alignment I had come in for. $1000 quote. My spirit didn't receive this BS, so I called a mechanic place I had been too in town (Christian Bro.s) and was told it was probably JUST new tires not balanced... which it was! Firestone lost my business due to multiple instances of gross incompetence. Up until a year ago, I thought they were doing a good job. Then I had my oil changed at another shop who showed me the condition of my oil filter housing! Firestone had broken the internals of the housing and left the filter flopping around inside the housing. This is after I personally drove 80 miles to find a replacement housing, provided it to them, and had them say it was not needed after all! Then today, the battery required replacement after one year of use. Firestone used the incorrect replacement battery for my vehicle. It was still under warranty, and Firestone did refund the cost of the part, but it was part of a larger job. I do not recommend this shop for anything other than tires. Oh well read more

I brought my car to firestone for new tires. I had just replaced my oil and fluids 2 weeks prior and my car was literally running better than it had in over a year. I asked firestone to check my brakes while they were replacing my tires. They called me and said I needed brakes, rotors, and something with my steering colum wasn't right. My husband talked to them and ended up telling them that we just wanted tires and nothing else. Fast forward to me spending over $1200 for tires and picking the car up that same day. When I drove it away, it felt like I was hauling 1000 pounds. My car was so sluggish. My husband said maybe it's just because of new tires. Ok. Now, it's 3-4 weeks after getting these tires and my car is driving like crap. It is 4th of July and I have 4 young girls in the car on I-25 and my car starts slowing down and luckily I was able to just barely get off to the side when I couldn't go any further. I almost got rear ended by a semi, mind you, because we were doing 75 and then my car very quickly decelerates. I have my car towed and checked, on 4th of July, and they found metal peices in my engine oil! My car is no longer working and now I'm stuck with $1200+ tires and a hunk of metal. My car was running perfectly before bringing it to this place! Our 4th of July was ruined and we almost got hit by a semi on I-25 and now I had to get a new car! NEVER go here. Noon comes around and I call to see if it's done and am told it's not in a bay but it's next in line to be fixed then am told it's unrepairable... call again at 3pm to ask if it's done and told that it's going to take a bit longer to get done as there are 3 other tires in front of me (which is baffling as my cars been then since they opened) and wouldn't give me an estimate on time of my car being finished... so much for making a morning appointment to only have it take all day to be fixed read more

We got our oil changed here, they were supposed to check the fluids and filters. They did not, nor did they inform us that our engine was leaking oil, transmission fluid and that our vehicle had a recall because it burned through oil very quickly. Because of this, our engine was destroyed, and fortunately it was in warranty and getting rebuilt, but the warranty did not cover a rental car completely and definitely not for a month to get it fixed, so now we can't afford rent and now me, my wife, my stepdaughters and my grandchild are about to be kicked out of our home and our lives fucked. After my car being there almost two weeks, they lose the keys and require that I bring a new pair to them. When discussing payment for my services they offered to purchase new keys as a discount for my services. They told him it was losing oil and that the engine needed replaced, a $3,000 job. Instead his dad's mechanic friend took a look, changed the oil, and the vehicle is fine. That cost $30. I'm not one to do my laundry in the street, but when something like this happens, I feel obligated to inform. This all started in February of 2020 at the Firestone Complete Auto Care in Loveland, Colorado. I took my 2015 Jeep Wrangler in for an oil change and a tire rotation/alignment check. During the wait I was talking with Steve one of the team members at Firestone about how nice it was to have a place to bring your automobile to and not have to worry about being taken advantage of by unscrupulous employees. In a matter of minutes, I needed over $1700.00 dollars of parts and labor. I bought my Jeep used and honestly did not have any objection to paying for the work they said needed to be done. The next morning, I noticed that some oil had dripped down onto my driveway. I looked under the Jeep and was not real impressed with the amount of oil that had not been cleaned off during the service work. I took it back and they said they cleaned the underside and put dye in to make sure there was not a leak. I retuned again and was told that it needed another $1000.00 of repair work. I insisted that the oil leak did not exist until they did the "repair" work, and that I was not going to pay for anymore work. Steve then said " I mean really how much oil is leaking?" He said he would have to reach out to the store manager Dennis to see what else they could do as far as a discount goes. The next day he called and said that they would cover the labor if I would pay for the parts ($200.00). I agreed just to get it taken care of, and not have oil in my driveway. Three days later Steve calls about 20 minutes before they close to say it's ready to be picked up, and that he would just put it on my Firestone card, lock the key in it so I could pick it up later. When I looked at the invoice it was for more than $500.00. I once again looked under my Jeep as I had a suspicion that one of the parts I was charged for was in fact not replaced. I called the store again and was told that was the case and that they would refund $250.00 to my account. When I asked about the cost of the parts Dennis told me that a markup of 200 to 500 percent was common. He did not like it when I used the term fraud. Purchase tires from firestone complete auto center with road hazard. I went in to get a flat fixed And was told they cannot fix it till the following day. I explained that I was on my way to work And needed it fixed since I had purchased the protection plan. When asked if they would Cover the cost of me taking it somewhere else I was rudely told no. We used Firestone in Loveland for years, but began to notice that every time we took it for any kind of service, oil change etc, they always found some very expensive repair that needed to be done. We switched to Firestone in Ft Collins, same thing. The last time we used them, we then took it to a mechanic recommended by a friend (Warrens Automotive 970 667-9903 1051 E Hwy 42 Loveland) and was told that none of the worked suggested by Firestone ($900.00 worth) was needed. Prior to that Firestone estimated a $3,000 repair, took it to Warrens, only $1,000 worth of work was needed. One time they said the hoses needed to be changed, my son had replaced them less than 6 months prior, with high quality hoses. These guys are crooks! If you have to make it in your business cheating people, you shouldn't be in business. If you do good work, word of mouth is the best advertisement. I will never give this Firestone my business at all ever again. Came into the shop on 8/26/17 for an oil change and an inspection for my suspension which is usually courtesy. Fine, I'll accept that. I get into my car and notice my odometer is the EXACT same mileage as when I took it in and my car seat settings are the same. I KNOW for a fact that I have been lied to now because I have a manual adjuster not a pre set button you can just push. Mind you, I'm 5ft tall. Tell me how a technician that's well over 5'7 and 160lb+ can fit into MY settings? And further more, how did the technician manage adjust the setting to get MY preferences down to the rear view and side mirrors just right?! I call BS. I already called customer service and am willing to take this all the way to top. I'm tired of places like this, especially managers like Robert taking advantage of people because they see that I am 1) a woman and 2) younger than the average car owner. We were traveling from Houston to Seattle, and discovered an issue with our Jeep battery. We were towing our Jeep behind our 29' RV so parking and bay size could have been an issue. We called ahead and the management of Firestone said " no problem just pull right up." An hour later when we arrived, two young men walked out to our motor home with testers in hand. The service people forgot to inform me the work was done and left me sitting in the waiting room for 25 minutes. I saw my car sitting there and was unsure if they were done or what was happening. I finally went to the counter and asked what going on. The service agent checked with the repair staff and proudly announced the car had "just finished". When I corrected him and told him about seeing my car sitting untouched for nearly 1/2 hour he again insisted that it "just got there". i made an appointment at 12:30pm for an oil change and a full vehicle inspection knowing that i may have to get my front brakes replaced. i came back at 2pm expecting at least the oil change to be complete only to find that my car hadn't even been moved from the spot i parked in. dalton the mechanic came out to tell me, "we're still trying to figure out what's wrong with your vehicle it'll be awhile" as if i didn't just see my car completely untouched. i decided to get my front brakes replaced (which should only take an hour according to firestone's website) and it is now 5:38pm and they haven't even replaced my brakes and called to tell me right now that they can get the parts for it tomorrow. very disappointed as an oil change and a brakes replacement should not consume my entire day and i don't have all the time in the world to leave my car overnight. considering i had a scheduled appointment this is not okay read more

I went into Firestone for a simple oil change. In the past I have had issues with locations putting too much oil in as my engine uses about 4.2 quarts. I expressed my concerns to the individual behind the counter and had him verbally verify how much oil was being put in. My car started to run funny so I checked the oil and it was over! Just got back from another shop and paid them to drain some of the oil. Comes to find out that there was close to a quart extra oil. This promotes leaks in cars and I am very upset that an oil change seems to be to hard of a task to get done correctly. read more

I was driving on I-25 today and my serpentine belt happened to snap right off. I called Firestone at about 3:30 and asked them if it would be possible to fix it this evening if I got it in before they closed at 5. Long story short, the tow truck ended up taking an hour and half longer than they quoted me on the phone, so I didn't get to Firestone until about 5:30. They immediately got to work on my car, ran diagnostics and replaced the broken belt and I was back on the road by about 6. I don't know that I can say enough good about Gary and the people who work here. read more
