As a female, I like to do my homework before I go places like this so I know that I am not being taken advantage of. The website states "call for pricing" so I assumed it would be ok to call for pricing. I politely asked the lady and she responded very rudely "I don't know!!" and I was put on a brief hold. I was eventually given an answer, but perhaps she might try responding to people with "let me check" next time. Otherwise I had a great experience. For CRV related recycling, they have a fair amount of cans on dollies which made transporting them to the scales a breeze. This is helpful because it is a small walk from the parking lot to the scale area. The two gentlemen that helped me were great. A little work on phone skills and I would give them the full 5 stars.

When we explicitly asked for a receipt to check the weight breakdown, the worker rudely refused and stated they do not give receipts to anyone. It is incredibly suspicious to hide the scales from view and refuse to provide mandatory transactions receipts. This lack of transparency completely shortchanges consumers and directly violates state recycling regulations. Highly unprofessional facility.

The owner and the employees are extremely helpful and polite...they're just good people. I've been recycling with them for the last few years, and recently, I contacted them to see if they would let me bring a bunch of kindergarteners for a tour to learn about recycling. Not only did they say yes, but they stayed after closing and allowed us to tour their facility after hours! The showed us their entire operation and even showed us how they crush and bale the aluminum cans so they can be transported for the next step in the recycling process. I can't brag them up enough. I arrived a little after 3:45 PM before closing, but was denied service. If the actual cutoff time is earlier than what's posted, it would be helpful and more respectful to customers' time to clearly state that. A notice indicating a 3:45 PM cutoff would help avoid confusion and unnecessary trips. (I went to two different Sunset Recycling down that were down the street from each other and I was denied at both of them)
