Dr. Song offered to take care of it with cryotherapy (application of liquid nitrogen). The entire "treatment" took less than a minute, and there was no discussion about costs. My medical notes from the appointment indicate that the wart was treated. In fact, the coding for this treatment on my billing statement reads "17110 - DESTRUCT B9 LESION 1-14". However, after several weeks and pain in the treated area, the wart remains intact. It was not "destructed". In fact, minus the pain, it's as if no treatment was ever performed. This less-than-one-minute procedure cost me $199.64 after insurance applied. Shocking! I called Frontier's office and spoke with Roxy about this charge. Roxy then connected me with Beatrice in the billing department. Beatrice shared that neither a refund nor a follow-up appointment to re-treat the wart with no additional charge would be possible. This is a highly distressing outcome. I felt compelled to post this review to warn others to consider other dermatologists in the area instead of Frontier. It's worrisome that this provider not only charged a significant amount of money for a procedure that didn't work, but also provided no extra grace for my situation when I shared the details of what happened. Apparently, it's all about the money for them. I'll be going elsewhere for future dermatology appointments, and I'd encourage others who read this review to consider doing the same.
