I went here yesterday after purchasing a groupon to try someplace new for an Acne-focused facial. I had an absolutely amazing experience. Maki is so friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about not only her products and practice but overall skin health, from the inside out. I've never gotten results like this from the other facials I've received. Not only did my skin look better, I was more informed on my skin and how to care for it going forward. I really appreciated that aspect of my visit with Maki. Do note, however, if you've gotten facials in the past, Maki's practices aren't as spa-like as other places - you're in a well-lit room, with all your clothes on, and there's conversation through the session rather than dead quiet. It's for the better, though, as Maki talks to get to know you, your habits, your lifestyle, etc to better understand and improve your skin during your visit. Maki is amazing! Haven't had a facial in a year or so and this is the best I have ever had. I let her know before my 90 minute facial that I have rosacea. She was very prepared for a individualized spa facial. I am 63 so in addition to rosacea, aging skin was a concern as well. Maki is definitely deeply committed to inner wellness as it relates to healthy skin and addresses lifestyle changes in addition to proper skin care. The facial was multi steps, deeply hydrating, sensitive to rosacea and included LED light therapy to tighten skin. Uses high quality skin care serums, lotions. My face looked younger and glowed. Maki is an absolute angel! She values her client relationships more than anything and it really shows through her actions. I felt truly cared for from the moment I walked through the door until after I left her space. Maki really went above and beyond for me and my skin's health, and for that I am extremely grateful! I found Lotus Wellness Studio through Groupon. There's an amazing deal you can get through there, but I'd recommend calling Maki first! She's a one-woman show at the moment and may not pick up your call right away, but don't let that discourage you as she's very prompt in returning calls. I was able to book an appointment for the morning after I called. I came in for a 60-minute signature facial. The studio is located on the second floor on top of a chiropractic office. It's comfy and quiet upstairs. Maki sat with me for 15 minutes after my original appointment time to discuss my intake form and concerns I have about my skin. She assured me that this consultation would not go towards my 60 minutes, and she wasn't lying! My facial ended up being longer than 60 minutes and I'm not complaining! During our talk, I told her the struggles I'd been having with my skin since my last facial that left my skin extremely dry, after having oily skin my whole life. She detailed exactly how she was going to treat my face and the specific products she would use. Maki is extremely knowledgeable in skin health and the products she uses. The facial itself was lovely! She explained each step of the process and still left a lot of time for relaxation. I really appreciated the fact that she focused on different areas of my face, rather than applying all of the products to my entire face. I struggle with redness around my cheeks and after a few products, Maki was able to make my redness disappear! My skin was soft and glowing without makeup. It was truly magical. Maki was happy to spend extra time with me because she didn't have another appointment right after mine. Even after my facial was over and I was all dressed, we were able to discuss my skin and how to care for it at home. She gave me samples of products that she used on me so I could try them out on my own and she even gave me extra spritzes of toner before sending me on my way! It's been about a week now and my skin has been significantly less dry and more glowy since my appointment. I can't wait for my next facial and will also be looking into booking a massage as well! I absolutely loved it. I got a 90 minute facial and had an incredible experience. Maki is so kind and spunky and knowledgeable. She did about a 7 step process of cleansers/exfoliation/cleaning out my pours/LED light for repair/hot towels/massaging. She also massaged my legs and neck. I stumbled upon Lotus Wellness Studio while looking for a facial on Groupon, I wanted to treat myself to a little self care without breaking the bank. The Groupon was $50 for an hour long facial which is half of what you'd pay for a facial elsewhere. Knowing I got this at such a discounted rate I was skeptical of what the facial itself would be like. Maki (the owner/esthetician) was quick to return my call when I called to make an appointment and even text me my confirmation. Her location is above a chiropractic office and Google Maps made it super easy to find. As soon as I arrived Maki immediately made me feel comfortable and did a full assessment of my skin. She asked if I was dehydrated, which I was, because she could tell in my skin (note: hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!). The next hour was incredible. Maki thoroughly cleansed my skin, then exfoliated, cleared out every pore, and finished up with a deeply hydrating mask. You're wrapped up in luxurious, soft blankets the entire time and it's incredibly relaxing, even the extractions! Afterward she got me some water and proceeded to give me a TON of sample products - totally unexpected and thoughtful! My skin was absolutely glowing and so, so soft when I left. If you're looking for chemical peels or lasers, this is not the place for you as Maki does not offer these services. If you're looking for a relaxing facial that will leave you glowing AND some great skincare tips from a trained professional, go see Maki! I received a 90 minute facial from Maki, and it was absolutely amazing! I goofed up my appointment time but even though I arrived 30 minutes late, she was still warm and welcoming. She assessed my skin and customized my facial to fit my specific needs. She asked questions throughout and gave me advice on how to better care for my skin type. She has a wonderful sense of humor and made me feel very comfortable, even during the blackhead extraction part that's not as fun, lol. She sat me down and asked what my skin care routine was, then looked at my skin and explained everything she was going to do during the facial based on how my skin looked and what I told her.
