I mainly visit the store to view their large range of Pop Vinyl Figures (they are a big thing right now, with hundreds of figures being available for various TV shows, movies, and games). In addition to Pop Vinyl Figures they also sell various plush toys, clothes and accessories, posters, board games, action figures, collectables, and other various geeky items. They are reasonably priced for the most part, though you might find that some items are available for less online. I quite like how the store has areas that are sorted by franchise (e.g. Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead etc). The store is located near Dymocks on Level 3 of the Indooroopilly Shopping Centre.

I loved the cartoon adaptations of comics when I was a kid (like X-Men, Spiderman, and Fantastic Four), I bought the figurines, but I never actually read the comics. It was not until later in life that I started on a few graphic novels and comics. Now I am hooked. Ace Comics and Games is the perfect spot to indulge my new found love of comics. They do tend to stock more graphic novels and don't have the biggest range in their Queen Street store but the staff are awesomely knowledgeable and friendly and if they don't have something in stock they happily source it for you. You might not even notice Ace Comics unless you were specifically observant or were looking for it on purpose. From the Queen Street Mall all you see is a sign near a doorway next to Wallace Bishop. Walk up a few steps and you make your way into the kind of old looking shop but who really is looking at the paint work when the walls are lined with comics anyway. Ace comics really is a good shop to browse, buy or just generally stand in awe of the awesomeness that surrounds you.

I'll try to side-step the geek talk, except to say that it IS possible for an Alliance and a Horde player to be friendly in real life, even if they've unknowingly caused each other to punch their monitors in the heat of battle. The staff are very friendly and the store, though not big, crams in all the games you need. It's not an easy store to miss because of all the posters and ads everywhere - inside the store and out. If you want to pre-order a game from Indooroopilly EB, I've done this before (Rise of the Lich King - Warcraft) and had no problems whatsoever. The store is usually very busy, and during holidays it's hard to move. In this case you need to use crafty, diagonal, nudging movements to get to the counter. Once you get there, though, your experience will be as you want it to be - quick if you're in a hurry, languid if you want to chat. The sales staff are very good at following the ebb-and-flow vibe of their customers. If I had to work in the retail sector (I'm no salesperson), I'd work here.

I even compared it to other EB Games at Mt Ommaney and Chermside and even against bigger stores like Kmart, Big W and JB Hi Fi. The service was really good for a hectic pre-Christmas rush. I was looked after pretty much from the moment I walked in. The staff help out as many people as possible. Even if they're with another customer, they're quick to acknowledge the others who are waiting and come back to them as soon as they're done with current customer. Really good service in this EB Games.
