These guys are always so helpful! I utilize them for work and home. In person and if I call with questions, they always treat us well. I work in a business that does a lot of building/maintenance, etc and I frequent Early Bird a lot. I highly recommend them, support your local smaller guys! They are wonderful and helpful and reasonably priced!!! read more

If you wish to be treated as a special person or better yet as a person at all, this is not the place for you their customer service skills are not just remiss but utterly lacking, they are too busy to help you out much less ask if you need something, seems even difficult to get checked out and that is when they have 3 people standing there at the counter ahhhhhhh "taking care of business?" While I try not to trash establishments I been here numerous times and kick myself afterwards wondering why did i go in there in the first place. On the practical side the store is laid out in a strange manner difficult to find things. Did I mention their customer service is not real great! read more

Name of business is misleading. Hours of operation not very compatible with the public customer (closed on Sundays and 5pm weekdays). Seem to cater to the contractor and non-lumber inventory is very limited. Also, they do not accept American Express! read more

Their customer service is greatly improved over the last couple of years. I used to hate going there, being ignored. I went there a week ago to buy some 5/8 gravel and the 2 guys up front couldn't have been more helpful. The young guy doing the loading was awesome, smoothed the load in my trailer for me, noticed the tires on the trailer were low so he filled them for me. I went back for a 2nd load and was told there would a wait of a few minutes. After several minutes (I think the young loader was on a lunch break) one of the guys from up front came out and loaded me up. read more

I am going to preface this review with the fact that there is a pandemic raging on. I went here…read morerecently to buy some grub screws for some equipment. I ask the counter man for a 1/4 inch long 1/4 by 20 and I wanted one longer and 1 shorter of the same thread pattern. I was told by the counterman he was not going to do that and he proceeded to bring me this single 1/4 inch long grubs group. I asked him if he had any other sizes, he stated yes we do, im just not doing that. The store is roped off so you must go to the counter and you cannot help yourself. I was put off by his unwillingness to support my request. After all I was going to pay for all the items I was not simply browsing.. I purchased everything else that I was looking for at the time and left without the grub screws. I eventually went to Amazon and brought a grub screw assortment of the size in question and found just what I needed. Turns out he could have sold me 3 screws for the need of one and it was actually in the 1 length shorter variety. I will likely return, however this will not be my 1st stop no matter how convenient if the counter man simply is too lazy to help out
