All around good experiences. Little loud but I got kids so I don't care. We will come back.

    1/2 rack of ribs

Friendly service and good food! We visited for dinner and it was delish! The waitress was super friendly and attentive. Our food was great. I had the 1/2 rack of baby back ribs. As a Texan, I wondered if getting ribs in the Okanagan was a mistake, but it wasn't! The ribs would be good anywhere and could hold their own back in Texas! Cole slaw can come in so many forms, but the slaw here is legit! My family enjoyed their entrees too. We all commented on how odd the bathrooms were. Yeah, it's not important, but square toilets? Haha. Next time I'm back in Penticton (which is often), I'll be back at Earl's!

    Brunch in Earl's

I discovered this restaurant six months ago. The first time we went to have the brunch. I ordered the sunny side eggs with sausage, bacon, beans and potatos and I found it very tasty and the dish is very complete. The second time we went is for dinner and I ordered the bacon cheese burger and as a burger lover I found it delicious. I recommend this burger. They add fries in a side. They have also a good selection of beers, cocktails and wines.

This steak came out cold and rare. Not medium rare and cooked. Stay well away from the steaks at this earls. Denny's has better ones.

Our friends highly recommended Kin & Folk for our anniversary dinner, and we're so glad they did…read more From start to finish, our experience was exceptional. We don't eat red meat, but that certainly didn't limit our choices. We started with the Chili Shrimp Dumplings, Scallop & Prawn Ceviche, and the Family Milk Bread. Every dish was outstanding. In fact, we wished we'd ordered our own portions! The milk bread was so good we immediately ordered another. Served steaming hot as a freshly baked pull-apart loaf, it was perfect for soaking up every last drop of the incredible sauces. For our entrées, my husband ordered the Ginger Scallion Crab Bowl, generously filled with crab and perfectly cooked noodles. I had the Roasted Sesame Salad with scallion chicken and crispy fried tofu. We sampled each other's dishes, but this was one of those rare occasions where my husband couldn't get enough of his own! I couldn't blame him because mine was every bit as delicious. We were too full for dessert, so we took the tiramisu home to enjoy later. The bar menu also deserves special mention. I ordered the Full Moon Party, a creative twist on a Lemon Drop topped with a light, fluffy lemon foam. It was as beautiful as it was delicious. Watching the bartender create other cocktails convinced me we'll be back to explore more of the menu. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the service. Our server, Svetlana, treated us like royalty and genuinely cared about making our anniversary special. The entire team worked seamlessly together, always smiling and happy to help. Kin & Folk has officially become our favourite restaurant, and we'll definitely be bringing our own kin and folk there in the future. With several beverages, multiple appetizers, generous entrées, and dessert, our bill before tip was about $100 per person. For food and service of this calibre, it was excellent value and made for an unforgettable anniversary celebration. Highly recommended!

Their interpretation of ceviche was beautiful, they offer it with a Thai twist, coconut milk and basil. The drinks were great. Our server Maria was phenomenal, classy and professional. We also ordered the Asian Greens which we also highly recommend. We also tried the soy chicken, which was prepared sous vide style, and made for a very interesting and creative dish. The other main we tried was the ginger scallion crab, which was Italian inspired but with Asian ingredients, such as black bean paste, a lovely dish. The portions were huge, so consider sharing. The tiramisu was also very. We highly recommend this spot and will return when back in town.

I think that's probably true. My kid and I heard that this place has an awesome happy hour deal: purchase a drink from 2-5pm, get a free pound of chicken wings. And the wings look great, with lots of choices of sauces! We had hoped to come here for this HH deal but unfortunately, the time never worked out. So we came here for an early lunch instead one hot day. There were very few diners when we arrived, so we had our pick of tables. We chose to sit at the outdoor patio, as it was a lovely day. Our server was super nice. My kid ordered a Wagyu burger with fries and a flight of beers. (One this day of the week, any Wagyu item was $2 off. They have certain specials every day of the week). I usually have a salad for lunch, so I ordered the vegetable salad with beets and goat cheese with its honey Dijon poppyseed vinaigrette. The flight of beers was quite good (according to my kid, who enjoyed them). Her burger and fries were also quite good. (I had a bite and it was tasty). 4/5 stars for her meal. My salad, however, was beyond sad. It was 95% lettuce, a thimble-full of goat cheese crumbles, zero beets, a few wilted cucumber spears, and, again, 95% lettuce. (At least the lettuce was fresh and clean, I'll give it that! But for $17, it was 95% lettuce! I am not exaggerating. And the vinaigrette looked and tasted exactly like a bottled Kraft dressing I've recently had. It did not taste like honey or Dijon at ALL). I'd give my salad 1/5 stars. And that's being kind. (I returned 75% of it uneaten. Even my kid wasn't up for it - and she usually finishes ALL my meals). One item on the menu sounded too good to pass up: their "peaches in a blanket" dessert. It takes 20 minutes to make. We ordered it - and it was the highlight of the whole meal. (Sorry I did not get a photo. We ate it immediately lol!). It was truly delicious, and not obscenely large in size (I find it a turn-off when portions are too huge. This was sized just right). Truly delicious. 5/5. Side note: the bathrooms here, in the back of the restaurant, are quite nice. There are three of them, each nicely decorated, and roomy, one with a large baby table. All super clean. I was impressed by the washrooms! Back to the food... regarding our meals, our dishes were very inconsistent. I'm giving this place a 3/5 stars, totally middle of the road, just because I think your experience will depend on what you order and what day you order it.

It was busy inside but there was a 4 top table available. There were some couples at 4 top tables. The hostess asked the manager where to seat us and he said at the bar. That doesn't work with a child, it's a liability, she could fall and we were clearly attempting to work together. I explained this to the host and she just gave me a blank stare. We decided to leave and then the people behind us who was a party of 3 were seated at the 4 top. Very disappointing.

The service was attentive and at the end they gave us a tour of their cellar which made the night very memorable. As for the food and wine, everything tasted fantastic. We had ordered a flight of their Chronos Red Wines and Chronos White Wines - we preferred the Reds as they paired nicely with our food. My Peace Country Lamb ($60 - rack of lamb) had a lot of flavors and was nice and tender. And hubby's 12oz Ribeye ($78) was sooo good and juicy. The kids enjoyed their Carbonara ($34) and Warm Breads ($12 - pricey for bread though and they don't give you any comped ones to start). At the end of the night, we had brought an ice-cream cake but the staff told us it was "unsalvagable" (perhaps it melted?) so they comped us a variety of their desserts instead. The desserts (creme brulee, tiramisu, chocolate torte, olive oil cake) were OK - not standout but we appreciated the variety.

It was delicious and cooked to perfection.
