Truffle fry app

Overall great experience! The staff was SO NICE. Seating was great. Menu had something for everyone. Food was tasty. The parsley was a bit much in the dish for my taste and the $2 artisan bread add on is something I'd pass on next time. But overall great!

Sushi, truffle fries & street corn guacamole dip...all three great!

What a great dinner place! Was a little apprehensive when pulling up and the place was in a mall but wow some really good food! Server, she was great very tentative and helped answer any questions. Noise level inside was a little loud with chatter but an open area that's to be expected. Would definitely recommend.

Enjoyed the atmosphere and food. It was wonderful. So full, couldn't get white chocolate crème brûlée for dessert. A++++

Earl's Sticky Toffee Pudding (a.k.a. - Chocolate Lava Cake)

My wife and I had one of our first dates at Earl's in Mississauga back in 2008, so the chain has always held a certain sentimental value, and since moving to Hamilton we've enjoyed dining at the Burlington location. That is, until recently. Our recent visit to Earl's will almost certainly be our last. The quality of food has diminished while the prices have dramatically increased. ($30 for two cocktails is a little outrageous, and they're not even using top-shelf liquor.) Our meals were lackluster and portions smaller than ever before. A few years back, I made the mistake of ordering the Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert and wrote a Google review about it calling it "an abysmal failure", which it still is. The owners didn't seem to care, and I didn't think it was possible for them to make it worse, but they found a way. This dessert is so BAD, it shouldn't even be on the menu, and it should be illegal for them to call it "Sticky Toffee Pudding". (There are a lot of Brits rolling in their graves over it I'm certain.) It's Chocolate Lava Cake, and not a very good one either! If you want exceptional Sticky Toffee Pudding, visit Durty Nelly's Irish Pub in Halifax and you'll understand what I'm talking about. All in all, this last experience at Earl's was enough for us to say sayonara, auf wiedersehen, au revoir to a franchise we've enjoyed for well over a decade. There are much better meals to be had that won't bankrupt you while simultaneously leaving you unsatisfied.

Read all the amazing reviews and decided to try out this place and it didn't disappoint. From the easy booking reservations to the friendly and helpful staff we knew we were in for a good time. Ordered the old fashion and followed it up with amazing b-52 shots along with the to die for truffle fries and the artisan bread. I had the 9 oz cajun spiced sirloin with mashed potatoes and gravy and my friend ordered the tofu toll shushi. The steak simply melted in the mouth. We ended the evening dinner with the pickle back shot and that hit home as well

Great food and service. Loads of atmosphere. I love the free champagne and appetizers while you wait for a table.

I've been to the martini house quite a few times. I can't believe I have never written a review…read morebefore. Love, love The Martini House for girls nights. The location is great - downtown Burlington, directly across from the public parking lot. It is always very easy to make a reservation - online or over the phone. They are also very accommodating. On more than one occasion I have asked for a table upstairs where it is quieter and every time they have been able to give us a table up there. Naturally, their martini list is huge. A lot of them come with some sort of candy in them - Jolly Rancher or a lollipop. My favourite is Ass Candy. It comes with cotton candy on top. So good! I've tried quiet a few of the appetizers and they don't disappoint. My favourites are: the charcuterie board, crispy calamari, braised beef yorkies, edamame and my absolute favourite ever - toasted almond and baked brie. I always get the same thing for dinner because it's just that good - the fig and prosciutto pizza with extra fig jam. I love that the crust is thin and crispy. There's a perfect amount of prosciutto. Honestly, it can't get any better than that! My girls and I always order a creme brule for dessert. It's a classic and always delicious! Love that they bring out a plate of cotton candy for the table at the end of the meal. It's probably half the reason why we come here regularly. Not to mention the staff are always wonderful and the service is always on point.

We had duck breast, seafood pasta, mussels, seared tuna and a creme brulee...and everything was perfect. Service is very inviting, friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place if you're in the Burlington area either for lunch or dinner. There is parking in the area and availability will depend on the season and if there are any other activities happening near the lake. Regardless of what you do in the area, Martini House will be a nice and inviting place for you to go and check out for a meal or a casual catch-up with friends at the bar.

Spectacular Canada Day!…read more I came to visit Canada during my 4th of July break and ended up visiting during Canada day. I hit OpenTable and found Sunset Bistro open for reservations, so I quickly made a morning reservation. Thankfully I checked OT because their hours on Yelp showed that they were closed! We both ordered coffee and the amazing Bistro Benedict and were not disappointed. The service was great, our server Jibran kept our coffee filled with coffee and kept bringing milk. The music was a little loud, but being only one of three tables this morning, it is likely more noticeable without the constant sound of other tables talking. I hope to come back again someday, certainly a great experience.

This restaurant is at the east end of Burlington's waterfront, very near to the pier. It opened…read more2022-09-30. It serves mainly Canadian/North American fare. Their food is of elevated quality and the service is good. There are two parts of the restaurant. When you enter, there is a bar area which is just average in appearance. Then you get to the main dining area where it is nicely decorated and plenty of light entering the area. The dining area is befitting of an upscale restaurant. We ordered the following: 1. Mixed Green Salad (small $7.95, large $13.95). 2. Fish & Chips (1 pc $18.95, 2 pc $26.95). 3. Baked Pistachio Salmon ($26.95). 4. Bread Pudding and Ice Cream ($9.99). The Mixed Green Salad has tomatoes,  cucumber, matchstick carrots, sweet peppers, onion, goat cheese candied walnuts, and tossed in a lemon vinaigrette. The salad was good but needed more vinaigrette. We asked for more and they gave us a container with more, which made it perfect. Another thing: we ordered small but they misheard me and gave us large. They were nice enough to change our bill to reflect the price of a small. We ordered two pieces for the Fish & Chips. The fish is haddock, beer battered, with fries, signature tartar sauce, and cole slaw. The haddock was plump, fresh, flakey, and tasty. The batter was crispy but a little too thick. My mother and son didn't have the strength to cut through it. The Baked Pistachio Salmon had a pistachio crusted salmon, roasted sweet potatoes,  warm spinach, seasonal vegetables,  and drizzled maple butter. The glaze had a strange taste. I found out that they put Dijon mustard on the fish to hold the pistachios in place. I usually don't like Dijon mustard it it wasn't overly strong. The mustard should be listed in their menu I think. On the positive side, the salmon was plump, fresh, flakey, and tasty. It appears that this restaurant serves good seafood. I will have to come back to try other items. The Bread Pudding and Ice Cream was smooth and delicious. It is a custard with raisins and rum butter sauce, with whipped cream and vanilla ice cream. The custard was smooth. I hardly tasted the rum which is good because I don't like alcohol. The whipped cream was fresh and light. There are 4 parking spots nearby on Elizabeth St that are free for 20 mins until 18:00. I happened to arrive at 17:59 and was able to park for free for our entire dinner! There is free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. There are separate male/female washrooms and they are wheelchair accessible. There are paid street parking and parking lots nearby. There are high chairs for little children. Review 2023-071
