Sip Café is a convenient late-night spot, which I really appreciated since it's open later than…read moremost places. It was warm and my cortado was good! That said, it's not very cozy (very bright lights + tables were dirty), and the servers weren't especially friendly during my visit. It feels much more like an ice cream stop than a place to sit and work or hang out for a while--more quick treat than café vibe. Still, the late hours make it a useful option if you're craving something sweet in the evening.

I have been driving by Sips Cafe and Mike's Ice Cream on Gallatin for years and finally made it…read morepoint to stop in on a recent weekend...and for the most part, pretty happy I did. Local, classic style cafe serving up all the coffee and espresso classics alongside pastries, ready-made breakfast treats and of course, house-made ice cream! I popped in for a cold brew and pastry, and got just what I was after. It was around 9am and I had just left the gym, so I decided to skip the ice cream, but it did look and sound tasty...so I will have to update this review once I partake in the sweet goodness of a good scoop or two. For my cold brew, I added almond milk and for the pastry, I went with the ham and cheese. The cold brew was good, nothing spectacular, but it hit the spot. The pastry was warmed up, which was a nice touch. The dough was flaky and the cheese melty, so I was not mad at it at all. Service was a bit odd, not exactly what I was expecting from a local coffee spot. While it was not unfriendly, I would not call it friendly either. It was very transactional, which I know sounds odd given it was a transaction of sorts...but just didn't do it for me from a service perspective. The space has it's own vibe with checked flooring, retro sofas and chairs with cafeteria style tables and chairs and a fountain and plant wall next to the high top table. All of which were a bit worn. Which I take is probably part of the aesthetic, but still worth noting. I love my local coffee spots, and try to support them as much as possible. Sip Cafe was a bit underwhelming for me on my first visit, but I will stop by again at some point. Overall I would give Sip a solid 3.5, which I will push to a 4 without issue.

Definitely my top five favorite coffee shops in nashville the location. I frequent. The most is the East nashville location. The vibe and ambience is always superb. I love the feel very modern but still calming. I love that they add a lot of greenery in the shop. The retail area is so nice so clean and various aesthetic definitely adds onto the nice five I enjoy looking at it all the time, and I love that they have such a large selection of merchandise, even candles. Let's get to the best part. I always order the honey bear latte. It's the best. I don't care all year around. I get it especially during pumpkin season. I get the honey bear pumpkin so good! My second favorite, which I low-key want to gatekeep, but I won't Actually, it's my first favorite, but like I said, I wanna keep it, but I won't. Is the ice miso caramel latte with oat milk. The flavors are so bomb and out of this world I was very hesitant to try it at first, but oh my God when I want a latte this is the latte that I want. That's the first thing I think about when I wake up and that's the first thing I get on my way to work. Highly recommend if you haven't tried it! I also very much enjoy the breakfast sandwich sandwiches, breakfast bagel, and the breakfast burrito especially the breakfast burritos!! Try it! if you haven't you're gonna love it!

The selection of breakfast and pastry options is extensive and tempting. They have a ton of god gluten free and vegan options too. I ended up getting a vegan chocolate coconut scone because it looked better than any of the other treats, and it was so perfectly savory and sweet at the same time. The scone itself had a nice doughy saltiness to it that was matched by the sweet chocolate chunks! The lattes were good. I had a whole milk latte and appreciated the care they put into the art. Parking is quite crowded but people are constantly going in and out so you shouldn't have to wait long for a spot to open!

It lacked the matcha flavor, but the coffee here seems to be a must try based off the amount of times I heard it being ordered while eating in. The tomato basil soup and grilled cheese was a nice light option. The soup could stand some salt for flavor, but other than that I was pretty pleased with my option. They have house coffee (drip) that they offer until 1pm. It is NOT complimentary.

I went here with a couple of friends. l and didn't feel like I was struggling to talk over other conversations. So it's a a good casual meeting space. I got the seasonal coffee and didn't enjoy it. I ended up adding some simple syrup to try and cover the flavor. My friend got the chai and it was very watery and milky. I got a little bit more tea added after she drank some down but it wasn't very concentrated.

I love me a good local coffee shop with friendly folks, comfy seating, stellar vibes...and then you add being fully accepting of folks, and you got me for good! Madtown is all of those things plus some. I usually pop by early on weekend mornings to enjoy a cold brew and breakfast wrap while people watching, which gets really good here! The drink menu has a lot of classic coffee drinks plus a few specialty and/or fruit forward blended drinks, but again, most of their focus and expertise is around coffee, even offering pour over! Food menu is solid with a few breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches along with a variety of pastries and baked goods. Overall, Madtown Coffee is a cool spot that I am very happy has a place in the neighborhood. This is one of those places where you can not judge a book by the cover...or immediate area!

The aesthetic of the place would be any plant lovers dream. This establishment is embellished in beautiful plants that provide a calming atmosphere. If it's breezy and pleasant outside, I highly encourage outdoor seating. We were seated indoors, where it was very stuffy with poor circulation. The outdoor seating is spacious and shaded, great for dining in. We ordered the advertised espresso drink with orange zest cold foam 3/5. Very little flavor from the cold foam, but not bad overall. French toast 5/5. More than enough is given for you to share with someone. It was too much for one person to eat. The flambé banana that comes on top was the perfect added touch. Breakfast burrito 3/5. It seems like it was missing something. Spicy Toucan 5/5. The best drink! Reminds you of a spicy marg bursting with flavor. I do want to return to try the katsu chicken sandwich and risotto pancakes.
