The best part of visiting TOA is that you can swing by Sump Coffee and get that caffeine served in a delicious way. If your not too late in the day you can also get one of their delicious pastries. The space is open and bright and I often see slot of people on their laptops here. Service is always good and so is the coffee.
Solid coffee spot! Coconut honey latte (sun bum) had great flavor. Only negative no skim or 2% milk offered only whole or alternative. Staff was friendly and great place to walk the area with coffee or hangout inside. On the pricer side came out to a $9 latte.
My finance and I were in the area this weekend and decided to finally try Sump coffee, and we were pleasantly surprised. I ordered an iced Caramel/Vanilla latte and it was fantastic! The barista recommended the caramel and said they make it in house! All of the staff that we spoke with were friendly and helpful. They do validate parking which is a huge plus, especially here in Nashville. Side note: they're located by a really cool water feature in the One City area and would highly recommend grabbing a coffee to go and enjoying some nice weather. We opted to stay inside because of how hot it was and the shop itself had a really cool vibe (and a/c lol). I appreciated the attention to the little details ie: murals, tables, coasters on each table, etc). Definitely recommend to stop by!
Great place to study or get work done. However I would not recommend ordering anything to drink here. My whole party wound up throwing out their drinks. They were prepared beautifully but tasted awful even after asking for modifications. We were immediately informed all of the food was sold out for the day so that was a bummer as well. There are plenty of tables to work, plugs and bright natural lighting. If you are looking for a quiet or private working space this may not be the one for you. However, if you don't mind light chatter and community then I would recommend Sump for that purpose only.
I had heard so many good things about Sump, even from people that visit from out of town. However, I was sorely disappointed. I ordered a flat white, and it was up there for the worst coffee I've ever had at a more serious coffee shop, let alone anywhere. Either the espresso shot was super sour, or the milk was spoiled, or both. Staff was very friendly. Tables were dirty, even though it wasn't terribly busy inside. Parking is also challenging - they do have a QR code to cover parking, but you'd have to walk into the store first without paying for parking, which is risky. Free spots are limited out front and advertise as 15 minutes only; however, they do allow you to extend that time for free several times.
The style and vibe of this cafe is so suave. There's plentiful seating indoors and outdoors! Baristas were friendly and efficient. This cafe menu is pretty unique and names bold flavors. My matcha was AMAZING, smooth, and creamy. The strawberry galette was similarly great. My only recommendation would be that the actual drink was as flavorfully bold as the description (ie The Imbolc had white chocolate and cayenne, and while it tasted delicious, was lacking any kind of spicy kick). Overall, would definitely recommend !
I'm on the hunt for my favorite Nashville coffee shop, and Sump is a strong contender. With lots of menu options for coffee connoisseurs, and a decent remote work set-up - what's not to like? You can park in the attached garage and just take the elevator up to the coffee shop. However, I prefer to park in the lot next to OneC1ty - it's a bit easier to get in and out of, and a bit cheaper if you're planning to stay for awhile. The vibes inside are cool - if you're into artsy skulls, this is the place for you. I've been here three times, and haven't strayed too far from my go-to cold brew with almond milk. The service has always been fast and friendly, and if you visit in the afternoon, you should have no issues snagging a table (although be warned that there aren't many outlets!)
Sump Coffee really takes their coffee seriously. This is a great place to go if you like pour-overs since they have an extensive list of options from different regions of the world. You'll pay a premium for the coffee, but it really is world class and great for coffee lovers. This place is located inside One C1ty, and there's an underground parking garage with free parking for Sump patrons. There's plenty of inside with big picture windows that get lots of sunshine. The service is great, if you're stumped on what to get, the staff is very knowledgeable and won't steer you wrong.
YUM! really good latte like wow. very pretty too. their cups are so pretty. i saw someone get an iced matcha and it looked sooo good. i'm going back tomorrow to buy the matcha. parking: i parked in garage below and you get two hours for free. the elevator from the garages brings you right into the building that the coffee shop is in. free parking around in other lots but you'd have to walk further, the garage is best option i think. bathroom: such a nice bathroom i gave it a 10/10 i really enjoyed it. it's not inside the coffee shop you exit and it's in the building but i love the door and there is a water fountain where u can refill water bottles. update: i got the matcha and it was beautiful and so yummy. not sweet and pretty normal but i enjoyed it lots!
Hands down one of my favorite coffee shops in town. They're one of the few who serve a good lavender latte! They're very friendly whenever I come in and are patient with me when I can't make up my mind on what to order. Lots of seating available and in such a prime location. This doesn't matter but I'm a sucker for anything skull and skeleton related so I naturally I'm attracted to this place!
Their drinks are absolutely delicious! We took home some of their beans and have been enjoying them in our homemade lattes. 10/10 do recommend.
Great punk vibes and AMAZING espresso, which are like two top priorities. Cute in for seating, even nicer outdoor area, friendly staff. Def grab an earth angel, a seasonal latte w/ an amazing basil mint syrup - it maybe sounds weird but I promise, it's so good and refreshing!!
Loved Sump Coffee! Such a great spot to get some work or studying done, with an amazing atmosphere both inside and outside. I got the matcha and it was delicious! The employees were so nice and brought my drink to me pretty quickly. The surrounding area is also really nice to walk around, with plenty of restaurants and other places nearby. Huge bonus that they validate parking for free too. Whether you're looking for a productive study spot or somewhere to hang out with friends, I'd definitely recommend checking it out! read more

Easy review: great coffee, great service, and great atmosphere. I had an americano and it was smooth and well done. Love the logo. Inside has plenty of seating for work or convo with friends. Artwork inside and very nice coffee bar. Would return! Parking inside garage in the building with multiple other businesses surrounding area. read more

I've visited Sump twice. The first time, I tried to get their Conversation Hearts Coffee Crawl drink but they ran out of the sauce that made it special, so I opted for a chai. Not my favorite chai, but drinkable. The second time I got their famous pour over and I was wired all day long. I didn't realize how strong it would be - I had it black so no frills! Loved how much you got, but now I know to share it. Good flavor. The seating isn't my favorite in the place - bar stools can be super uncomfortable & all the tables were taken by people working. This is more of a preference. High tech machines & great branding in the spot. Lots of lighting, not too loud, good for chatting or working. read more
Great coffee, friendly staff, spacious location, Sump Coffee has it all! They also have cute merch, including a coffee mug that I may be back to buy! I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon for a quick coffee pick-me-up. I wish I could remember the name of coffee I had, but what I do remember is that hot honey in it. It was so delicious. I'll have to scan the menu again the next time I go to find and order it again! read more

I can't speak on the food, as I didn't try any pastries or anything. I didn't see any gluten free options either. However, this place had a really chill and quiet vibe. People were sipping their coffee, working on their computers and overall seemed happy to be here! It was very cute and clean. I am totally digging their bearded skull logo! The coffee was super awesome! Not too many flavor options but I did go with the vanilla bean latte and it didn't disappoint! The service was great, as I was greeted upon entering and proceeded to the counter to check it all out. I was quickly tended to and waited only a few short minutes for a sip of heaven! I do recommend this if your looking for a spot to grab a good cup of Java, pull out the laptop for some work, or browsing, it was super quiet and chill! They obviously offered Wi-Fi too! The barista seemed really into his crafting of great sips! If I'm ever back, passing through this area of Nashville, I'll be sure to stop back by for a coffee! read more

Overall the Chocolate croissant and expresso drinks were great. The service was friendly and quick. The coffee shop was cozy and quiet. read more
Odd location- at a medical complex- so a little off the beaten path. But TOTALLY worth it. When I stay in Vanderbilt I usually grab some Poindexter Coffee over at the Graduate- which is the only acceptable coffee up there in proximity. But they don't do pour overs. SUMP is the real deal if you want the selection of beans and brewing methods to choose from. Baristas are impeccable and super nice. Costa Rican pour over was the best coffee I've had in nashville up to that point. Highly recommend by my coffee snob sensibilities. Plenty of tables to sit and the ambience is cool- it overlooks some back lawn w some hipster food trucks and a stage of some sort. Anyway, thank me later. read more
My husband loves a well made pour over and was excited to see a Poursteady because that usually means it will be made right. He said his pour over tasted good but the grind wasn't completely dialed in because it was lacking some flavor from too coarse a grind. The girl working was very nice and chatted with us and even gave us some recommendations on places to try. read more
Stopped for a cup of regular coffee. I was thinking, because it's not on the main road, will be more convenient to choose this location. You have to park in the garage on the first level and go floor up using elevator. Ambiance is very nice and pleasant environment. Service is average, but then I was surprised to learn that regular coffee is served only till Noon. After that only Pour over coffee for $6 a cup. I choose to go for cappuccino instead. It was more a latte. Not impressed, but it have a potential to improvement. read more

This place was great. A nice quiet little coffee shop in an upcoming, trendy neighborhood. Clean, colorful and sharp aesthetics with great eclectic music and good customer service. I was greeted warmly at the door and made to feel welcome while I was here. The place smells amazing with notes of wood and fresh, unburnt coffee. And the chocolate milk latte was delicious. Not overly sweet or too chocolate-y it was the right balance of coffee and mocha. And a nice touch...the barista spent a little extra time and his energy to the pour and foam art even knowing the lid was going to be put on it and I would never see it; that speaks to me of dedication and passion to his profession. Sadly I think this place's location is too off the beaten path, behind the Pastaria and the building, and it was a lot slower than I would have expected it to be on a Friday morning. And while the quiet, calm, slow pace was definitely part of the charm I would much rather see them thrive. Go visit this place! read more
Everyone I'm in Nashville I stop here. They use a pour steady machine to execute the pour over experience. The good news about this is you can try a variety of coffee. Branding is great. Atmosphere is good. Parking can be tricky so park in the garage next door. Staff and service was so good. They answered all my questions and had a real passion for coffee read more
