Billy is the best! We had our wedding here in October and it was absolutely perfect! Billy is a good friend and very thoughtful host. The venue was perfect, the hospitality was welcoming and accommodating and we had the perfect day. All of our guests talk about how beautiful and comfortable it was. Friendly, cozy, pretty, and fun! Thanks Billy! We love this place.

Not open. Or not open any time we've ever been there, weekends included. They should take down their sign.

As a vegetarian I am well aware my options will be limited but I still bring friends and family for the Chart House experience. Unfortunately, this last visit was underwhelming. We had a 5:30 reservation and didn't get seated until 5:55. No problem, I've worked here and other places and understand seating, but to have no one even address us with a simple 'sorry for the wait' is the first indicator of the experience we were about to receive. We were visiting for a wedding which happened to correspond with our good friend's anniversary. I went out of my way to invite them to CH based upon the high standard I had been accustomed to. The food was adequate and we enjoyed our time amongst good company. However, the price point was not on par with the service one would expect for a $100/person meal. We had multiple courses and the server removed silverware without replacement. At one point the server wiped the table off with his hand to remove salt and pepper (weirdly no crumber) and was clearly disappointed that we didn't order drinks pre-meal. I would never expect anything for free but they didn't even acknowledge our friend's anniversary after the online reservation specifically asked if we were celebrating a special occasion. No problem, just don't ask. Again, despite all this the meal itself was tasty, we ordered the premade lava cake and post-meal cocktails. Maybe it's been a couple years, but the lava cake was not the soufflé I'd grown accustomed to and tasted more like an Applebees or Chilis contribution. Still, not a bad experience but then the bill came with some sort of push to join the Landry group for future benefits. We politely let the server know we live in area far from any Landy's restaurant and he tried to sell us further on how many locations were within their range. We were already wavering on our experience, but to hear a sales pitch after the meal felt transactional at best. If our $400 wasn't enough maybe it's time we look somewhere else, This place used to be special. Now it feels average.

My kids chose the 2-hour Class C - 20 feet open Bow Speed Boat ($478). I thought we would have a driver with us to take us out but no.... They showed my kids how the boat operates, took us out to the open water, and let us loose! There was eight of us on board. It was beautiful out on the water, with the rocking waves, and beautiful scenery and sky. But not when you have my kids driving it like a race car on water. We were rocking like crazy and we all got wet. Especially my grandchildren sitting at the front, who were drenched! I told my kids to slow down, but they say, "he said we could floor it." OMG!! The kids had to put on life jackets and the adults were told there are emergency life jackets on board. Well, with my kids enjoying what the boat can do, I threw on my life jacket! I admit, my kids are very responsible drivers on land. They had so much fun driving the boat in the wide open lake. As scared as I was of possibly being overtaken by waves or capsizing, it was an amazing experience, and it felt so good out there. Absolutely beautiful!! I really enjoyed it, and the staff were great. They know exactly what they're doing. The water started to get kind of choppy, so we ventured back towards the shore after an hour, called them on the radio, and staff came out on a dingy to help dock the boat so that we can safely get out. I am so glad I went on this excursion. If you love the water and drifting up and down with the waves, this is a must try!

We went on the 2PM cruise today and had fantastic weather for a lake cruise. They advised us to start lining up around 1:30p, started boarding around 1:45p and were promptly cruising following key safety messages. Key things to note below: -There is available seating toward the front outside, if you appreciate some sun and a cool breeze these may be the seats for you! -Guests moved in and out throughout the cruise, we opted to stay in for most of it but had no issues moving around outside to take photos comfortably. -Snacks and drinks are available for purchase onboard. -They had comfy blankets available inside to take outside to keep warm (very nice touch and they appeared to be very clean) -They did a great job slowing down in Emerald Bay and highlighting wildlife nearby for viewing and photography. -Don't forget to bring cash to tip the well-deserving crew! -We had a cool mix of tourists and locals to chat with on the cruise. -There are padded bench style seats indoor and plastic chairs as well. The upper deck also had seating (no shade up top aside from some in the front) -There are restrooms on board, I didn't use them but they were available. Highly recommend for a relaxing and informative cruise around South Lake Tahoe & Emerald Bay. Will definitely cruise again on our next visit to South Lake Tahoe. Star employee - The gal in the ticket office helped us as our tickets printed oddly. She confirmed we were on the list and would be able to board without it. She was so friendly & set a cheerful tone for the day. :) Note, I typically never write reviews this quickly but they did an amazing job and we had a few minutes to spare before dinner nearby. :) Happy Sailing!

All of the stunning views and scenery gave for some pretty epic and gorgeous photos to capture our big day. Josh and Blue Sky Events worked together to make everything run seamlessly the day of our wedding; even when the heater broke on the tent during the rehearsal dinner and the caterer's generator died before our food could be made the day of the wedding. Josh was there doing everything in his power to make things work and make our day great. He was clear on what rules needed to be minded and checked in with us throughout the weekend to make sure we had what we needed. Most wedding venues in Lake Tahoe make you use their caterers, don't let you do unique things like bring a late night munchie food truck or anything outside of their own packages and for some people that's great but for us, we wanted flexibility and Fjeldheim allowed that for us so we could have a day that was perfectly us.

If you're looking to spend a lovely couple of days in Lake Tahoe and need a place to stay, this is the place for you! Talk about paradise; look no further. Tahoe Mountain Home is a 9,000 square foot private vacation home that can house 30+ people easily. Sitting high above the lake, this property offers awesome views overlooking the lake. I recently came over the weekend with a group of friends and was able to discover all that this property has to offer. The house offered over eight bedrooms and sleeping for the entire guest, all the rooms come with their own name; honestly, I felt like I was in a mansion! My mouth dropped as I drove up the one-way hill to get to the house, the place is HUGE! There were different access ways to the entrance, a fabulous hot tub in the back of the house that fits 4-5 people comfortably and a big parking lot that fits over 10 cars easily. This place is exceptional! The house is located 5-10 minutes from all of the fun entertainment including the casinos, restaurants, and bars and lounges. We took Uber every night and didn't have an issue at all. Now, on to the BEST part, it was SNOWING the WHOLE.WEEKEND. I have yet to experience snow before, so this was not only fun for me but exciting! Now, driving in the snow was not exciting at all, trust me, but playing in it was FUN. On the last night of our stay, we received emails and news reports that there was a blizzard coming and that we may be snowed in. Okay, I became scared once I received the news, but that quickly changed when we had the housing manager come over. Josh is the 'housing manager' and the night I became very anxious about the snowstorm, he came over with his lovely dog and informed our group that we were going to be Okay. He discussed the weather and even asked all of us for our car keys while he plowed the driveway so we can leave much easier to leave for the next-day departure. Can you believe that he moved all 10 cars and plowed the driveway all by himself? OMG, bless his heart! After Josh left, my group advised me that Josh is a wonderful guy that comes throughout our visit to check in with us. I was so touched by the personal touch. This property, as well as Josh, deserves MORE than 5 stars! Yelp, we really have to work on expanding the 5 stars (emoji: smiles). I definitely would recommend staying at this property. I look forward to my next stay. Thank you, Josh, for your amazing hospitality during our stay!

Just book it, especially if you have fur babies!…read more My husband and I live in Reno and wanted to book an anniversary trip to Tahoe that we could take our senior Weimaraners. We also have a friend who is a photographer and we haven't had professional photos taken since our wedding 18 years ago so we thought The Landing would be the perfect place since they host weddings here and it's right next to the beach. There are so many excellent parts to mention but I will start with the staff. From the moment we walked in, everyone was so friendly and welcoming to us and our dog. Our 15 year old had just passed and so our 12 year old was a little lost and loved all of the attention. She was treated just like one of the family. They even allow dogs on the free shuttle which is so perfect so we were able to go into the village and have lunch with her. It's a downhill walk back and so pretty, so we enjoyed the fresh air back. They upgraded our room and the views of the lake were perfect. It was so easy taking Juno out for potty breaks. It was extremely quiet and clean. The heated floors and toilets are a nice touch. We had dinner one night in the restaurant and it is the best meal I've had in Tahoe. The Venison is unbelievably tender and flavorful. My husband loved his homemade pasta with huge prawns. Our server, Kevin, went above and beyond to make the night special. They even let us take a few pictures in the bar area which I think turned out really cool with all of the bottles and colors in the background. Of course we all come for Tahoe! This place is right on a perfect spot. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets, some trees and grassy areas also made for perfect pictures. We were there right at the start of Memorial Day weekend so it was extremely quiet and peaceful. I'm sure it will get busy in the height of summer but even then being able to walk across the street from your room makes it so convenient. We want to thank everyone at The Landing for a perfect trip! We can't wait to do it again!

There's a mini fridge and Lavazza espresso machine and coffee pods. Heated bathroom floors, heated toilet seats, great shower pressure, and a bathtub with jets. Loved the touch with bath robes and slippers! They also have a rooftop bar with a direct view of the lake. One of the nights, there was a wedding and it was closed to hotel guests. The next day around 5:30pm there was live music- the duo was singing covers and taking requests. They were amazing! There was also complimentary charcuterie. Definitely a perfect spot to watch the sunset. Here are some other noteworthy amenities during our stay: Complimentary champagne from 3pm-10pm. Smores kits 6pm-10pm. Coffee, hot cocoa, tea, fresh apples in the lobby- and the best water from Tahoe. Free daily admission to the private Lakeside Beach. Heated pool and Jacuzzi. Fire pits. Even after we checked out, beach admission, parking and shuttle drives are still included for the whole day. Onsite restaurant, formerly known as Jimmy's which we didn't try. It was only the second venue we looked at and the second we got up there, we knew it was THE PLACE! We couldn't be happier with how everything worked out. First off- THE VIEW! It is beautiful! Our sunset was incredible that night and I cannot wait to get our pictures back. There's a spot below the lodge for a perfect sunset shot. It rained around 3:30pm day of our wedding (thunder & lightning) so the staff started to move our dance floor inside from the deck and started packing up the ceremony chairs. Then 20 minutes later, the rain cleared and everything was brought back outside. The ceremony and dancing stayed outside! We took our tour Memorial Day weekend 2016 - the first weekend of the year they open for weddings. They were setting up for a wedding so it was nice to see some of the set up. We went up for the food tasting in September 2016 and it was really neat. They invite all the couples for the next year to come up and food taste together. They set up the tables with different linen colors and napkin folding styles as well as glassware lay outs to let you see how everything looks. And then you can decide on what you like. They make their most popular dishes for the couples to try (I believe you can make a request off their list if there's something you specifically want to try). For our wedding we had a buffet and chose the prime rib and chicken Piccata. They were delicious!!! Another big hit was the bacon wrapped scallops and ahi tuna wonton crisp appetizers! Highly recommend. We had the kegs of beer and brought up all of our own wine and champagne (which they let us bring up the night before). We also last minute added the cash bar which was a good idea! (We paid for beer/wine and if our guests wanted liquor, they had the option to pay for it). The tram ride up is fun and quick. The outdoor ceremony area is beautiful with the lake in the background. They have an arch you can use but we brought up one my father in law built us. (They let us bring it up the night before and put it together during our rehearsal walk through and then they actually brought it out and put into place for us on our wedding day). I mainly corresponded with Libby but both her and Lizzy were so helpful and very quick to respond. They answered all my questions and took care of my requests. They really helped make the night run smoothly. All the other staff was great too! I could go on and on about how amazing this venue is! If you're thinking of getting married in Tahoe then I highly recommend the Lakeview Lodge at Heavenly. You get the best of everything - the top of the mountain and a gorgeous lake view back drop!

While it operates as…read morea vacation club, it's owned by IHG and rooms can often be rented just like a traditional hotel, which makes it surprisingly accessible. The property has plenty to keep guests entertained -- daily activities, pools, saunas, bars, a small market, and an on-site restaurant -- so you rarely feel the need to leave unless you're heading out to ski or explore. I've stayed here three times, in both the Tower and Nagle buildings, and the views alone make every visit worthwhile. The location is absolutely five-star, especially for winter trips focused on skiing. Many of the units are more like condos than hotel rooms, with full kitchens, living areas, multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, and thoughtful extras like jetted tubs, gas fireplaces, laundry rooms, and balconies. Ski lockers conveniently located in the halls are another nice touch. Decor varies depending on the building and unit -- some feel more updated than others -- but all have character and have consistently been well stocked with useful amenities like humidifiers, fans, and reliable coffee makers. Parking is easy and plentiful, with both underground and outdoor options across the property. My favorite feature, hands down, is the Skier Express -- a mechanical bubble shuttle that connects the resort directly to the Stagecoach lift. When it's running, it's an amazing perk, though it seems to be operational only about half the time, which can be frustrating. There's also a traditional shuttle that loops to the base lodges. It can take a bit longer due to the one-way main road, but it's still a solid option for getting around. On my most recent visit, the management team really stood out. Communication before arrival was excellent, and I was celebrating a milestone birthday -- they made the stay feel extra special with genuine kindness and attention. I'm honestly not sure where some of the lower reviews come from, but if they help keep this place under the radar, I guess that's the silver lining. For me, Tahoe Ridge has become my go-to stay in the area and the only place I consistently choose when visiting.
