Billy is the best! We had our wedding here in October and it was absolutely perfect! Billy is a good friend and very thoughtful host. The venue was perfect, the hospitality was welcoming and accommodating and we had the perfect day. All of our guests talk about how beautiful and comfortable it was. Friendly, cozy, pretty, and fun! Thanks Billy! We love this place.

Not open. Or not open any time we've ever been there, weekends included. They should take down their sign.

We basically waited 10 minutes to get seated when we walked in. Information about happy hour can be very confusing as their website has different hours than their IG. When we were seated they seated us directly against a wall with very limited table space for four girls. We ordered wine flights (actually a great deal 4 wines for $25) and apps. We all were very hungry as we just got off a plane but they don't really have anything that is meal worthy more or less just small bites. The burrata was so yummy but the toasts were a little hard. Buffalo cauliflower dip was great and I loved the combination because I would've never thought to have a dip with cauliflower, cheese and buffalo sauce! When we ordered the apps we didn't have any table space left and the waiter took quite a while to pick up our prior plates and bring our bill. If you want outdoor seating I would recommend you go early as it fills up very fast and anything over two people will be hard to get in.

We decided it was a must-try and made a reservation through OpenTable for 7:45 PM. We started with the kimchi calamari, followed by the New York strip and the 14 oz. prime rib. When I tell you it's rare for a steakhouse to get both land and sea dishes just right, this place truly knows what they're doing! Everything was cooked perfectly, tender, hot, and full of flavor. Nothing was lacking. The customer service was also wonderful. Everyone was welcoming, attentive, and helpful. And, just as the reviews described, the view was absolutely beautiful, especially while watching the sunset. We're already looking forward to coming back to celebrate special occasions. We didn't get a chance to try happy hour, but the prices and options looked great--definitely another reason to return!

I'd read the reviews beforehand some were glowing..others not so much but I still wanted to experience the views and the food for ourselves and decide from there. We arrived a little early for our reservation and didn't mind waiting. My boyfriend had specifically requested a window seat so we could enjoy the scenery. After about 10 minutes the hostess came over and said they didn't have a window table available right then..but they did have a booth one seat back from the window. I asked if we could see it first. It wasn't actually near the window..so we politely declined and said we'd keep waiting. She was wonderful about it and more than happy to accommodate us. Another 10 minutes later we were seated at a table right by the window with a beautiful view. I was so glad we held out and didn't settle for the booth. Charlotte was our server. It was very busy..but she tried her best to be attentive..and honestly we didn't mind being left alone with the nice view and conversation with each other. Shout out to Charlotte! She was great! We shared a Cobb salad as an appetizer..and Charlotte happily made a bunch of modifications for us since neither of us likes a lot of different vegetables. For our entrées my boyfriend ordered the steak + lobster tail and I got the Chart House 10 oz prime rib. I told her I wanted my meat rare "if the cow is still mooing..that's fine with me" and she delivered. It was perfectly red and delicious. The mashed potatoes were wonderful too..and the pomegranate mojito was strong but really good. My boyfriend's steak was cooked exactly how he likes it (medium rare) and the lobster tail was excellent..he said it was actually bigger than he expected. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the service at Chart House. Don't let the mixed reviews scare you away..come experience it for yourself and decide. We don't know when we'll be back in Tahoe..but when we do return..we definitely want to come here again.

There was ample space so everyone had a bed and it was spread out enough so the guys could hang out down in the pool room while getting ready and the gals could get ready upstairs. The view at the home is absolutely breathtaking and the hot tub perfectly overlooks the lake and mountains. All of the stunning views and scenery gave for some pretty epic and gorgeous photos to capture our big day. Josh and Blue Sky Events worked together to make everything run seamlessly the day of our wedding; even when the heater broke on the tent during the rehearsal dinner and the caterer's generator died before our food could be made the day of the wedding. Josh was there doing everything in his power to make things work and make our day great. He was clear on what rules needed to be minded and checked in with us throughout the weekend to make sure we had what we needed. He was always making sure everyone was having a good time and was a great person to hang out with too. Most wedding venues in Lake Tahoe make you use their caterers, don't let you do unique things like bring a late night munchie food truck or anything outside of their own packages and for some people that's great but for us, we wanted flexibility and Fjeldheim allowed that for us so we could have a day that was perfectly us.

If you're looking to spend a lovely couple of days in Lake Tahoe and need a place to stay, this is the place for you! Talk about paradise; look no further. Tahoe Mountain Home is a 9,000 square foot private vacation home that can house 30+ people easily. Sitting high above the lake, this property offers awesome views overlooking the lake. I recently came over the weekend with a group of friends and was able to discover all that this property has to offer. The house offered over eight bedrooms and sleeping for the entire guest, all the rooms come with their own name; honestly, I felt like I was in a mansion! My mouth dropped as I drove up the one-way hill to get to the house, the place is HUGE! There were different access ways to the entrance, a fabulous hot tub in the back of the house that fits 4-5 people comfortably and a big parking lot that fits over 10 cars easily. This place is exceptional! The house is located 5-10 minutes from all of the fun entertainment including the casinos, restaurants, and bars and lounges. We took Uber every night and didn't have an issue at all. Now, on to the BEST part, it was SNOWING the WHOLE.WEEKEND. I have yet to experience snow before, so this was not only fun for me but exciting! Now, driving in the snow was not exciting at all, trust me, but playing in it was FUN. On the last night of our stay, we received emails and news reports that there was a blizzard coming and that we may be snowed in. Okay, I became scared once I received the news, but that quickly changed when we had the housing manager come over. Josh is the 'housing manager' and the night I became very anxious about the snowstorm, he came over with his lovely dog and informed our group that we were going to be Okay. He discussed the weather and even asked all of us for our car keys while he plowed the driveway so we can leave much easier to leave for the next-day departure. Can you believe that he moved all 10 cars and plowed the driveway all by himself? OMG, bless his heart! After Josh left, my group advised me that Josh is a wonderful guy that comes throughout our visit to check in with us. I was so touched by the personal touch. This property, as well as Josh, deserves MORE than 5 stars! Yelp, we really have to work on expanding the 5 stars (emoji: smiles). I definitely would recommend staying at this property. I look forward to my next stay. Thank you, Josh, for your amazing hospitality during our stay!

We also have a friend who is a photographer and we haven't had professional photos taken since our wedding 18 years ago so we thought The Landing would be the perfect place since they host weddings here and it's right next to the beach. There are so many excellent parts to mention but I will start with the staff. From the moment we walked in, everyone was so friendly and welcoming to us and our dog. Our 15 year old had just passed and so our 12 year old was a little lost and loved all of the attention. She was treated just like one of the family. They even allow dogs on the free shuttle which is so perfect so we were able to go into the village and have lunch with her. It's a downhill walk back and so pretty, so we enjoyed the fresh air back. They upgraded our room and the views of the lake were perfect. It was so easy taking Juno out for potty breaks. It was extremely quiet and clean. The heated floors and toilets are a nice touch. We had dinner one night in the restaurant and it is the best meal I've had in Tahoe. The Venison is unbelievably tender and flavorful. My husband loved his homemade pasta with huge prawns. Our server, Kevin, went above and beyond to make the night special. They even let us take a few pictures in the bar area which I think turned out really cool with all of the bottles and colors in the background. Of course we all come for Tahoe! This place is right on a perfect spot. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets, some trees and grassy areas also made for perfect pictures. We were there right at the start of Memorial Day weekend so it was extremely quiet and peaceful. I'm sure it will get busy in the height of summer but even then being able to walk across the street from your room makes it so convenient. We want to thank everyone at The Landing for a perfect trip! We can't wait to do it again!

My kids also enjoyed the pool and playground, and the area is beautiful. The staff was also very friendly and super responsive to questions and requests. But the heat in the rooms is very real. We figured with lower overnight lows that we would just pop open some windows and it would be fine. We live in a house with no a/c and that works for us at home. We also got two swamp coolers for the rooms and a fan. What I hadn't factored in is that for safety, the windows only open a bit- maybe 1/4 of the way? And only one window opens in any given area. That meant that our room did not cool from the outdoor air very much at all the first night despite our best efforts. Things were somewhat better by the second night, but still quite warm. We could only sleep with fans pointed directly at us all night. The hotel is very clear about this limitation of their rooms, so I'm only deducting on star, but know whether this will work for you.
