I paid $100 for what was advertised as a Reflexology session, and unfortunately, this was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. After about 20 minutes, I stopped to ask if what I was receiving was actually Reflexology, because all that was happening was lotion being rubbed onto my feet. The response I received was simply, "Yes, this is Reflexology, it's massage," followed by "I don't understand English."
What makes this more frustrating is that there had been no apparent language barrier in our earlier correspondence, so it felt like my concerns were being dismissed rather than addressed. Instead of a therapeutic experience, it was essentially an hour of lotion application at a premium price.
This was deeply disappointing, and I left feeling misled, frustrated, and with no sense of value for the money spent.
