Sunday morning Boo tried to use the automatic opener and the garage wouldn't open so he found that the top panel was dented with a huge gap above the door. *hand over forehead* There was no way at the fun size of 5'2.5" I could have dented the top of the door. Was it the new liquid muscle and powers I acquired from Mr. Jameson a few hours prior? No, couldn't have been. I knew if I hadn't tried to open the garage door manually we wouldn't have had the issue at hand. *Hungover* -- Must...Think...QUICKLY... I sell flooring to Property Management companies and I met a fellow vendor at an industry event from Eagle Garage Door whom was really nice. (I can't recall her name as it was over a year ago...maybe it was Jessie?)...but for some reason, at this very moment I remembered the "Eagle" name. I googled Eagle garage and I made a call at 8:55AM on a Sunday and the kind woman dispatched the tech and said he'd be out the same day and let me know that the tech would call. Tech called literally 5 minutes later and gave me a window of 2 hours. I texted him the address and then he called back saying he'd be there in 30 mins. Tech arrived so quickly and the door was fixed and problem solved by 10AM and Boo was happy. I didn't meet the technician as I let the Boo handle everything once he arrived, I did enough damage. Boo did say that service was exceptional and the tech was extremely proficient, professional and very nice and Boo convinced me to write this review. I wish I knew the tech's name but the only thing I remember was that the Boo said the technician was from Georgia. Instead of being upfront that this was not within their expertise, they attempted the project anyway. Throughout the process, they repeatedly asked me if I was sure and insisted their way was the only option. In hindsight, it felt less like concern and more like a way to protect themselves so they could later say I gave permission. As a client, I am not the expert, which is why I hired a professional. That approach came across as intimidation rather than guidance. When it became clear the project could not be completed, I was still charged the full price. When I raised my concern, the response was dismissive and delivered in a raised tone of voice. As a young woman alone in that situation, I felt intimidated and taken advantage of. They knew the job had not been completed successfully, yet I was still required to pay in full, which made the experience feel unfair and exploitative. Afterward, I learned the wiring issue could have been solved in a very simple way. Instead, I was left with unnecessary damage, had to clean up the entire mess by myself, and now face additional costs to repair what was left behind. Cleaning up on my own not only made the sting of the experience worse but also felt degrading. I am glad this company may work well for smaller, straightforward projects. However, if your request requires anything more complex, be cautious. Even if the work is not successful, you will still be charged in full. I foolishly responded to their ad on Facebook market place and was was quoted the following from Jamie: "Alright so its just a flat rate $350 and the package includes. 1) All the Ducts 2) All the supply vents 3) sanitizer 4) dryer vent will be provided if it needs cleaning the technicians will be quoting you the price on the spot" Service was schedule for Tuesday the 16th.... Monday, my phone is blowing up from the technicians trying to come and perform the service. I explain the service was scheduled for Tuesday and they call me back and say ok, they will be here on Tuesday. They show up on Tuesday and now say the price is $400..... Additionally, no sanitizer applied as quoted above. I call the company and explain the issue and their reason for the extra cost is return vents are not included.... Well, Tech never said that. He merely said that's what the company told him to bill.... Lastly, technicians were in a rush... Had to follow them around and have them clean the floors from all the dust and debris they blew from the vents.... I wish I could give these people negative stars. I called about my dryer about 3 months ago (June 2024) about cleaning my dryer vent as my dryer was taking mult iple full cycles to not even fully dry a normal sized load. The guy (who's name was supposedly Mike) came and said 350 for the cleaning and "sanitizing", which he said would make the vents good for the next 5 ish years, so I thought the 350 price made sense and accepted. He then got to work and brought his brush, shop vac, and sanitizing thing. I previously attempted to clean my dryer air vent myself, but then the brush got stuck. I even told the cleaner guy that the brush was stuck in there and at first he said that he didn't feel anything in the vent, but then after I keep questioning him about it, he said it will be fine and he has done this for 7 years. After about 15 minutes, he finished the job and I paid him. He said if there is any problem then give him a call back so I thought everything would be alright. I did my laundry and then it did perform better than before, either from placebo or because he actually did his job. But then a few weeks later, I'm noticing the dryer no longer fully drying after 1 dryer cycle. Yes, I do clean the lint trap after every use fully and I even cleaned the moisture sensor inside the dryer. I gave him a text to come back and fix it as he said he would come back free of charge if there was anything wrong, and around 4 weeks later here we are, no response. I was quoted a cleaning of $149 based on my house size. We have 5 supply vents and 1 return vent. We have a tiny home, under 1000sqft. I was unable to be there but the tenant was home. Fast forward to getting home that evening, my bill is almost $700. Here were my concerns: 1. I am the person that hired him. I was the one on all of the communications. He had my cell phone AND Facebook where we had covered regularly over the past few days. I called to get a quote to rekey 8 locks in my residence. First person that answered kept putting me on hold then hung up (I assume this was by accident) - they called back shortly after and I got another person. This person says its $19 for a visit and they can determine "what's involved" with the locks -- I ask "these are standard residential deadbolts I got from Home Depot", what's so involved? He starts going on about having to check what's involved and then asks "can you bring the locks to my store". Really?? I tell him No thank you and I hang up the phone. They happened to be in the Waldorf area the next day and said they could set up an appointment. I specifically ASKED on the messenger what the special covers, total fees, costs etc. I just wanted to know exactly what I was looking . Im a single mom and these are hard times and every penny counts. you'll see where they mentioned the $99 covered unlimited supply vents and deodorize. they also state they check the hvac system. I opted out of the dryer service but did mention that I just didnt know if there were any taxes etc on top of the $99. If you're gonna quote $99 , that's what I expect to pay not a cent more. Once I sent my phone number and address, I got a call from the owners wife Ronit. she seemed to be fiesty on the phone. She seemed as if she was in a rush to put it. She confirmed my appointment for the next day and I ONCE AGAIN brought up about the $99 and just wanted to confirm that's what I would pay. I told her I didnt need the dryer done. She confirmed the $99 price and didnt say anything else about any fees, taxes etc. FAST FORWARD... NEXT DAY so Eagle Air arrived. So consultation went fine. BUT THIS IS WHERE EVERYTHING WENT DOWN HILL FAST ! Do NOT trust anyone at this company. Worst service I could have imagined. Hired for a chimney cleaning $350- They did not cover anything in the room to protect from ash and debris. They were not professional at all and they did not finish the job. They left the work unfinished and did not vacuum out chimney/soot. There was soot everywhere--floors, decor, walls, hallway leading to room. Our walls were covered with black stuff. Very hard to clean. So when the guy came back out it was like he did not want to do any work and was letting the time pass..everytime I checked on him he was at the same point -so we left him there to finish and clean walls etc. He took his hand and smeared the black stuff on the wall as if to make it worse out of being annoyed and then he just left without doing any of the cleaning and without letting us know he was leaving. We called the company and they got rude with us and said they were never come back to our house and they spent too much time there and the person hung up on me on the phone mid sentence. This company was very responsive but when he showed up and I said we wanted to think about going through with the service, they strongly encouraged doing it that night (8pm) so we trusted their opinion. He said it had to be cash or check and $3000. I asked him to write up the services he was doing and provided me with an "invoice" that gave no specific information and didn't even have the name of the company at the top. By the time they had finished and he left, I did some research and realized that the company with amazing reviews had linked me to THIS company through a third party site link without my knowledge. Originally they offer a service to clean all vents for $170 then when they get there they up charge for any vent that has more dust then another. They do t use the same tools used on the video and I had to have the service worker come back and finish his job. When I went back to check to see how he did some of my vents were never touched. He also left a dent in my wall taking his vacuum machine down my stairs. He claimed to do a sanitizer on in the vents and that I should smell a difference in the air that was a lie. Well, that was easy. We recently bought a new house, AND the deadbolt essentially stopped working this morning. Well, time to bring someone in. I requested quotes and Eagle was the first to respond. I received a call 15 minutes later from the locksmith to confirm the appointment and address. He even offered to come sooner, which was nice. He was here before the scheduled time, tested the lock, quoted up front with no surprises. The lock was a little pricier than expected, but it's going to be what it's going to be. I used the Yelp Deal for $20 off and was happy with a new lock and keys within about 20 minutes. This business is a scam, all I could say is stay away. We were in the middle of a move and found them via google. I am normally extremely careful and failed to notice the large number of fake reviews on their google account. After calling them, they told me they will call back with details on our carpet cleaning service. What happens next is you get a call from a 3rd party company, which does not even exist. I was given an appointment time for the carpet cleaning. Agent named Johnny texted at 7am on the day of the appointment and said he is from the "Cleaning" company. When he arrived he asked for cash payment, he even offered us a discount if we paid in cash "right there". He kept asking repeatedly "You have the cash now. You need to pay now." Agent Johnny guaranteed that all stains on the carpet will be removed. As we were in the middle of the move, we failed to notice this scam and paid $200 in cash before he started the carpet cleaning service. Afterwards, he was basically done with cleaning in 15 minutes, and started arguing with us that this was the best he could do with cleaning. He then asked for more money as tip and we refused. When I called the company they said there was no record of them servicing our house at all. We have a door camera and the carpet cleaner Johnny was recorded on the door cam when he came.
