Oh, disappointment.
How to go from four stars to one star in a single transaction. And as is often said, if I could give them less than one star, I would.
I dropped off three pairs of pants to be hemmed. Nothing fancy, no cuff, just a bit off the bottom. At their request, I was measured using one pair of pants. They pinned one leg of these pants and told me they would use that as the basis for hemming the others. I was disappointed to learn that my expected 2-3 day turnaround could not be met because of the holiday (Memorial Day) and would have to wait for about a week. I decided to let it go and would come back after the holiday.
Came in on the day they were supposed to be done since I was leaving on a business trip. Pants were not done and I had to make other clothing choices for my business trip.
Fast forward about three weeks after they were supposed to be done.
My wife popped by to pick up a pair of her pants and I asked her to grab mine as well. Her pants were cleaned, but my pants could not be found, even though we had the ticket.
Once the pants were found, it was discovered that they were not even started. Then a half-baked excuse was made that they were waiting for me to come in to be measured, which had happened when I dropped them off. I also checked and had no missed calls or messages from them asking me to return to their shop. Then when my wife pointed out one of the pant legs was pinned, she was told they had not put that pin there because it was not the type of pin they use. Well, I sure as heck did not pin my own pants.
Essentially, an attempt was made to blame us for this lack of progress. This is absolutely unacceptable! I asked my wife to bring my pants home and would take them in the road with me to have done by a tailor elsewhere (which is exactly what I did and had them back to me within one day for a cheaper price than what I was going to be charged by Eagle Cleaners). Then, the clerk had the audacity to tell my wife she would not charge us for the pants. What?! They did absolutely nothing to the pants other than pin one leg, and then tried to blame us for anything they could when they didn't finish the job within a ridiculously large span of time. How could anyone think they could attempt to charge anyone for that hassle?! This made my blood boil and I will never frequent an establishment where they try to blame an innocent customer for their ineptitude. I am deeply insulted. I was a loyal customer and am now lost to them forever. read more
