Not very welcoming. The pub however looked much more inviting. The staff looked stressed, and there was a minor squabble in the kitchen as I arrived. It's door is right opposite the main entrance, so there was no avoiding that! I was disappointed by the lack of Ales (just 4 shown, but one was Boddingtons and another Timothy Taylor so I don't count them), but the one I opted for was ok. Back behind the little shops downtown, down 1 of 2 alleyways dotted with tiny shops, you will come upon Styles, like a mecca in the dessert. This is seriously the place to go during the week if you just want to get out of the house. They have 2 pound drink specials every day and more shooters than you can imagine. They also have a quiz night, an open mic night, karaoke night, and live music at least 2 out of the 7 days of the week. Just a note that most of this goes on upstairs.
