We were so hungry and saw the backboard advertsing 'Home cooked Food' so decided to give it a try on Sunday afternoon
What a delightful little pub, well stocked bar and welcoming staff. We sat down with quite an extensive menu with additionsl specials written on wall boards.
We decided to skip the starter and just head for the main course, my patner ordered the Beef roast and I, due to a lack of much vegetarian options opted for the fish & chips. My partner actually commented that it was possibly the worst roast he's ever had! My fish was that 'frozen in batter' fish that just gets tipped into the fat along with the frozen chips served with tinned garden peas..not even mushy :( We didn't stay for desertjust paid and left.
Such a charming pub with great staff but awful food..I was expecting home made food but was disappointed. read more
