Pricing seems inexpensive - a little over a dollar per pound. I'm new to NYC and am not used to having someone else do my laundry so I was weirded out knowing that someone would be washing (and folding!) my unmentionables. I HATE lugging the clothing to the laundromat, giving money to the owner of the closest one considering he doesn't use A/C on hot summer nights and once nearly killed us b/c of not having the door near the dryers open when it was killer hot there (we were waiting on clothes to try) and I despise having to sort the laundry immediately or knowing my clothes will be permanently infested with deep wrinkles. I thought "Why not let someone else do this considering our time & labor are valuable + I'm not He-Woman?" Did my research, saw good things about this service and decided to finally bite the bullet and go here once our laundry card for the local laundromat ran out. Tons of people I know send their laundry out but I feared the monthly cost killing us financially. Your first order is 15% off if you're a new customer & you'll also get a free laundry bag. I found out this happens even if you forget to give the guy your coupon like I did. It turns out doing this was very, very smart. First off, no need for me to lug heavy laundry from my second floor apartment or make my husband do it (the driver will come to your door & not make you go downstairs with your laundry; why can't postal services do that?). Second, you can provide your own laundry detergent and the like for them to use. Third, even if the 15% off hadn't applied the cost was far more reasonable than I expected (the per pound cost is the cheapest I've seen). Fourth, they will pick up and drop off in Ridgewood (it feels like no one ever services Ridgewood so this was a welcome change). Finally, the staff is extremely friendly, answered my questions without making me feel stupid or like an intrusion and my laundry came out wonderfully without us having to fold and sort it. This is an example of something you're better off spending the money on if you don't have your own washer/dryer at home. Be aware that the time you select is a range for when they will arrive (for example, 11 doesn't mean they will arrive precisely at 11 but within that hour). The driver even contacted me when my clothes were done and offered to bring them back early, which I accepted. Greatly appreciated. I wish we had started doing this a long time ago. This will have to be a regular thing & it feels like it's going to be a better use of funds in the long run.

I gave each of them 3 chances before finding someone new. When I tell you that I'm SOOO happy that finally found Todd Layne Cleaners, that is an understatement! TLC has excellent customer service and are professional all around. Scheduling is a breeze, delivery guys are prompt in pick-up/drop-offs, AND my clothes are actually CLEAN. I took this dress to Todd Layne Cleaners on E. 77th Street for the first time. This dress had been professionally dry cleaned several times in the past with no problems. When I picked it up, the color had been dramatically faded and the dress was clearly damaged. After I contacted the cleaner, it took Todd Layne two days to respond. His only explanation was that there must have been an issue with the dress manufacturer and that I should contact them directly. There was no acknowledgment of responsibility, no apology, and no attempt to resolve the situation. I'm posting before-and-after photos so you can see the difference for yourself. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Todd Layne Cleaners. If you have garments that are valuable or sentimental, you may want to think carefully before entrusting them to this cleaner.

Not sure if any of that's normal for Wash n Fold (I'm new to this whole someone doing my laundry thing) but I don't care. Wash, fold and hanging all for 90 cents a pound. I told the lady when I got there about the spot, and she sorta nodded her head. I think the reviews are right, I don't think their english is good. But if that's the case, that's totally fine, but make sure instructions are clear before you accept a job from a customer! The jacket came back with the same oil spot. So I put a simple spot treater and washed it myself, and it came right out. When I went back to the store, they said the manager didn't work there and to call another number.
