The young lady who did my pedicure took her time doing the nail trimming and callus work (and since i have been at the beach a lot this summer this was very much appreciated). The Bad: i will preface by saying i have never had acrylic nails and i have never had anyone use those tiny nail drills on me before so this may be a normal thing. I chose to do the SNS nails for the first time and i might not do it again. The drill cut me a few times and i should have stopped my manicurist after the 2nd cut, but i didn't realize this technique required multiple passes with the drill. Everytime she applied that clear coat over the powder my cuts would sting. She was very nice and apologetic when i would flinch but the end result was a polish that was much thicker than i had anticipated. Maybe this dipping powder technique is not for me. I will stick with Gel/Shellac Manicures in the future. Would i go back? sure - but i will be sticking with the pedicures if i do.

And they look and feel great! I didn't like their massage chair. It was actually uncomfortable. Maybe I'm a wuss. But I asked her to turn it off and she only turned it down. It was much better but next time I'll ask them to leave it off. It's hard to relax when you're bouncing around! The shellac pedi was $45. Not bad. I'm very picky about nail length and shape, and she actually listened to me when I said "Can you make them short? I like them very, very short." My only gripe is that the polish selection is limited. I'm admittedly a polish snob and the total lack of Essie and Zoya is a bit of a misstep for me.
