I need to respond to a negative review of this lovely store and the wonderful, kind, and thoughtful owner. I have been shopping here since the open about 2 years ago. I am a loyal and happy customer as are many, many others. I feel as though I'm going to visit a very stylish friend with an amazing closet I can buy from! She and her staff have been so fantastic to me that I just don't believe this other woman. I am pretty sure this lady with the bad review is totally WRONG. I have been shopping there while a consignor has come in and seen the owner turn things away due to wear or other unsuitable problems. The owner's standards are very high. A consignment store is by definition a used clothing and accessories store. Most shoppers understand this. Everything I have purchased has been beautiful and very stylish. This review is probably long overdue since I am now in my third season of buying clothes and accessories from this fabulous place! I had walked into this consignment shop last fall completely by accident. I had been looking for another place on Anderson Avenue but had misplaced their street address. I walked into E Designer Resale and asked where I could find that other place, and I was told immediately where they were. However, on my way out of the store I gave a quick glance at the merchandise and was so impressed that I never made my way over to the other shop! What struck me was the curation of exquisite clothing, shoes and accessories at E Designer Resale. But just as important was seeing the extraordinary devotion of its owner, Eileen, who gave me nearly 1 hour just to select a scarf! Her commitment and honesty and true love for fashion came through loud and clear. I felt she knew me my whole life, like a relative, since she knew exactly what color, shape, and pattern would work well with my coloring and general appearance. I saw right away that this woman was very gifted, and I made up my mind that I would become her loyal customer through the seasons and through the years. I look forward to posting another Yelp review next year at this time, as I am sure I will grow with the store just as they grow with their customers, who they outfit, counsel, and advise at every stage of wardrobe building.
