I brought in a variety of estate jewelry- primarily small pieces, earrings and pendants. I was told all of it was fake maybe gold fill. I was about to scrap the items or toss them in a bag to sell for $5 bucks, but I had the sense to take them to two other places for verification. A few pieces came back as 18k and 14k. Although they might pay a little higher, this place can cost you hundreds by telling you your items aren't authentic. I would've appreciated if they said the items were too lightweight for them to purchase or if they had another reason, but to outright say that they have no gold content is horrible. You would think because they use an XRF machine their word is infallible, but the two other places I went use XRF too and they even showed me the results and gold content. I was in disbelief! Now I'm left to wonder if I've tossed out authentic gold in the past after visiting this place. Truly awful!
