When Sal found out that I was paying a decent rent for the 8 years I have lived here he convinced the new owners to raise my rent $600 per month. He also convinced them to take away the storage space I had in the basement as well as my garage rental. He seemed very understanding of my plight at the time and even mentioned that what my "landlords" were doing to me was wrong and he would make it up to me "out of (his) own pocket." The house sold and I hadn't heard a word from Mr. Crifasi. I called the office 4 times and did not get a call back. His promise was that he would include in the closing costs A storage space rental and the $600 that would raise my deposit to the amount of one months rent. When after 5 phone calls I finally got his secretary on the phone she emailed me that Mr. Crifasi thought that $400 for a storage space for a year was fair and he would give me the $600. We live in NYC that's $39 per month for a storage space. I sent him a quote (not for the biggest most expensive space) of $139 per month. Thanks for nothing mr. Crifasi. Thank you for raising the rates of all rentals in middle village, glendale and maspeth. Hope your happy you are pricing the middle class out of our homes.
