I spoke with Patrick who was extremely helpful and pleasant. Patrick scheduled a service technician to stop by my house within 3 hours. Alex, the technician called 20 minutes prior to coming over. When Alex arrived I explained the issue. He knew exactly what was wrong. It was a simple, no tools required fix. Alex is very knowledgeable and took the time to explain to how I can avoid the issue in the future. I hope that J&C reads this review because Patrick and Alex need to be recognized as outstanding employees. I have bookmarked J&C's website and will definitely be using and recommending this company in the future. I was not charged for Alex's time (10 min) however I did purchase the Yelp coupon for this company. Thank you Patrick and Alex for your help!

I had called J & C twice now after speaking with management about an…read moreextremely easy repair, which was done by Ori, who outrageously charging me $590 for a simple less than 5 minute repair. He asked me before charging me that fortune if I lived alone. I answered that I lived with my children, which was alarming to me. I'm handicapped, use a cane, elderly and was frightened by Ori. Management said that they would come over and refund to me $390 in cash, which is what I was overcharged as the job should have even included more than 1 wheel, like 6 wheels if done properly. That was almost 3 weeks ago, because the job was done on June 19. No refund made EVER. Now they don't answer, nor can anyone leave a message. Total scammers and thieves. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!

Door Works' employees Maryellen Meister and Hernan Arbaiza misrepresented and misled my husband & I…read moreafter we complied with Door Works terms and thought Hernan Arbaiza knew Fimbel, the garage door product we bought. Maryellen Meister told us that Door Works rejected a "claim" for the new/correct doors approx. after 5 months after Hernan Arbaiza admitted to my husband that he made a mistake when he placed the order with Fimbel, the garage door manufacturer we chose. Maryellen Meister told me that Door Works did not sell a lot of Fimbel doors because of their bespoke/customized styling, essentially, when I complained about Hernan sending us proposals with wrong information after we told him what we wanted (e.g., no windows, matte brown color, a design that replicated our original garage doors). Hernan Arbaiza showed up with Fimbel garage door samples at our home. He gave us a Fimbel catalogue. We even visited Door Works' showroom in Elmwood Park, NJ and literally discussed & pointed out the Fimbel door design and product we wanted. Hernan acknowledged all of our requests. Maryellen Meister's revelations come after approx. 5 months of comms from Hernan Arbaiza telling us that the new garage "panels"/doors were on order/being manufactured. Door Works misled us and misrepresented their actions with intent. Meister, Arbaiza and the rest of Doorworks' team gaslit us when we tried to get to the bottom of new installation dates, delays, clarification of correct information. They lied over and over again to cover up their incompetence, mistakes and lies with intent.

Normally I use yelp for restaurants but every once a while I will look for services but afraid to…read moreuse it because with food I can just not go back if the service or food is bad but with a bad service I might get stuck and/or pay extra to fix the bad job. So a few days ago, the house I acquired a few years, the garage door started to act funny, getting stuck etc. After asking around for recommendations I didn't get a wholehearted one so I turned to yelp. I read a few reviews of this establishment so I decided to give a try. First, the person who answered the phone was friendly and understanding as I was describing sounds and all that's not professional jargon but he got the drift and told me that someone can come the same day to take a look. I didn't expect that but was delighted. The two young men who came to check the problem were Mateo and Alex, nice young men who are professional and courteous. They check the problem and explain to my hubby and myself of the problem and also they didn't try to pull a fast one over us by trying to sell us a brand new system ( which I cannot afford at this time anyway). They came back the next day promptly of the time they promised but ran a little late because of the traffic which is understandable because we are in Bay Ridge and they had to go over that terrible bridge traffic. Once they are here they went straight to work and they even cleaned up afterwards!!! They offered to remove the old stuff that they replaced. They even got me two additional remotes and programmed so I didn't just have one which my 15 yo almost lost it once. Overall I would highly recommend them again and I found out they also do commercial gates too so I will be reaching out to them when that time come for my business.

Linda was extremely helpful in working with the factory and found two replacement windows that they had in storage. I did not act fast enough and only one was left when I made the decision to proceed. Troy did a seamless and perfect installation leaving my wife and myself as extremely happy customers. I would recommend them without reservation. I am somewhat sad that this type of business interaction would not naturally lead to a longer-term continuous relationship with them. It is not often enough that we find a combination of characteristics in people like integrity, honesty, keeping appointments, good communication skills and experts in their field that would warrant a desire for a continued business relationship. This is that company and these are those folks.
