I've had great experience with Door O Matic. They replaced two garage doors with wider ones for me a few years back. Since then, I've had them back for service; they've always been prompt and on time. I'd definitely recommend them. And since I used to do training for service contractors, I'm a harsh judge of who I recommend to work on home repairs. My experience here has been great.
We have a double garage that had two doors and a wide "pillar" between the two. Door-O-Matic replaced the openings with wider doors, and installed a new header beam and column to support the weight with a narrower middle support. They did everything start to finish; doors, rails, even did all the wood trim work for the new openings.
That was way more than I expected from a garage door company; I was all set for them to say "We'll do the doors, but you need a guy to do x, y, and z." Troy, the owner, was attentive and arrived as promised, delivered a solid job and I felt the price was fair for all the work that was done. We no longer scrape mirrors on the garage door frames.
That was a few years back. Today, when a spring broke on the garage door, he was here within a couple of hours to make the repair. Also had them out once when a member of the family (I don't want to embarrass my wife by putting her name here!) backed into a closed garage door. That one called for a late-night garage repair, and they were on it. (Paid an up charge for the 10pm service call, but they came out.)
I don't know what the reviewer below me experienced, but I've found Door O Matic to be responsive, professional and courteous. Originally called them because the truck looked sharp, and I've found that's one sign (not always, but often) of a well-run service business. I would recommend them to a friend, for sure. The experience of the one other reviewer surprises me. I'd say they're much more of a Five than a One. read more
