My first time trying this to get an all over color touch up in between my $150 color jobs at my usual stylist -- I went to the Livonia/Northville location and saw Chloe who was super sweet and right on time. She did a good job and took time to consult with me on color and walked me through the process before we got started. The salon was modern and clean and they offered me a beverage when I arrived which was nice. I am giving 5 stars based on what this is - a quick, convenient, relatively low cost color solution (my all over color was $59 but there are services like just framing highlights or root touch ups that are as low as $39) However, if I was comparing it to a high end salon it would probably be like a 3.5, but for the cost and convenience factor you can't beat it! read more

I absolutely love this place! I personally see Sabrina and she's amazing! My daughter has asked for purple balayage for months and I agreed as a treat for her birthday. Sabrina took her time making sure her hair turned out perfect. I scheduled an appointment to begin at 2pm. My service did not begin until 3:30. I thought that showing up 15 minutes earlier would help but, no it didn't. I've watched almost five clients come in and out. I'm so disappointed. I really was expecting to enjoy this first time getting my hair highlighted. Instead, I've been stressed and nervous about the outcome the entire time. Knowing that Dynfly does not offer cut services I have to try to rush to get my ends clipped. There was no accountability from the stylist of being almost 2 hours late, never apologized once. The only apology I received was from the previous stylist that left before the actual stylist was supposed to start my coloring job. read more

This was a great experience for me! I love the concept of the hair dresser coloring your hair, but then you as the guest/customer drying and styling your hair how you like to! My hair is super thick and it usually takes about 3-5(ish) hours to color and styles hair at a regular salon. It took me about and 1-1.5 hours because they colored my hair and I styled it myself in half the time and half the price! Definitely going back! Thats saying something because I don't have a "usual" place I go to get my hair done. read more

I don't understand how this place has a 5 star review. I would give it zero stars if I could. The service I received was very bad and the results were even worse. I was the only one in the salon and looked like I was the last appointment of the day, so the colorist seemed to rush everything and was in a hurry to close up shop. I was recommended to get bayalage for twice the money and I didn't even get 15 foils for it. I called back the next morning to get it fixed and I was told that I could either go back to the same stylist or drive an hour to the Troy location and pay for the whole thing again to get it fixed! Perfect experience for what they promised. It was much better than I was expecting. The color turned out perfect, The Stylist was very professional and friendly, I was in and out in an hour which is unbelievable, and I loved that you could style your own hair and use all the products there if you need to you. It definitely depends what stylist you book. Anisa is extremely talented. She transformed my orange, brassy hair into a beautiful ashy balayage. On a previous visit, however, I had Emily. She was in a hurry, and gave me the stripiest highlights I've ever seen, even when I specified that I wanted it blended. After the process, my hair literally fell out and broke after the wash, and she claimed it was "completely normal." When I was about to pay, she almost demanded a tip. Luckily, anisa did a beautiful correction weeks later. Anyways, Emily doesn't know wtf she's doing. She shouldn't even have a cosmetology license. Anisa is a 11/10. :) read more

Fatima colored and highlighted my hair flawlessly. I love the rich brown and the few highlights are so soft and subtle, they look so natural. I went in to get my roots touched up and overall lighten my hair. I booked online and when I went in it went fine. The stylist was nice and she started on my hair. I usually do my own hair at home with a 20 volume developer and it usually doesn't tingle but the 20 volume she said she used sure did, I have a pretty tough scalp so I didn't say anything. After applying the bleach another client walked in and my stylist began working on her while I was processing. I was in the chair processing for about 20-30 minutes (not including the time it took her to apply the product to my hair so maybe 30-40 minutes total). She didn't check on my hair until the end of that time when she brought me back to the sink. She washed most of the product out. She even said that my hair looked good and didn't need any toner. I toweled my hair off, paid and left. It wasn't until I got to my car (the first time I saw a mirror since the only mirror in the store was in the back) that my roots were white and the rest of my hair was 2 shades darker. Also I still had quite a bit of product still on my scalp, I guess its because it was as white as my hair. I ended up having to go to another hairdresser to get it fixed. read more
