I saw this place just opened and had to check it out. This place is located inside Gainesville where O'Charley's used to be at. They still have some of the O'Charley's signs left over displayed. Walking in, we were seated right away. Looking around the bufffet bar, it was small selection. There was your typical fried foods and a salad bar. There always was a fruit bar. The best part of this place wasn't in the buffet area. It's on menu. The menu consisted of hibachi steak/shrimp/etc. It also had sushi roll orders. The menu was made to order and included in the buffet price. I ordered the hibachi steak with scallops. I thought it would taste like the typical hibachi buffet styled food but I was wrong!! The steak was very tender and tasted very high quality like a normal Hibachi restaurant. The fried rice wasn't bad as well. The sushi rolls we ordered were amazing. They tasted fresh and of high quality unlike your typical buffet style sushi rolls. I really enjoyed fruit bar as it had lychee. I think I had 2 bowls of lychee because it tasted so good. Table service was great as they were super attentive and fast on cleaning up our table. I can't wait took to come back here again.

Wonderful new AYCE sushi buffet. The staff are wonderful and very helpful and friendly. Overall, Clean and plentiful options. You get to choose your sushi and get it freshly made (including hibachi). The dinner/weekend buffet offers crab and king crab legs. Can't be beat- this is a definite must try!

1st visit here and we had very good service. Inexperience was the only negative we have and that was us. Neither of us knew enough about sushi to know what we ordered but the bar had a great selection and the food was good, could've been a bit hotter but it was warm with great flavor. What we did order was good and I think it was chicken, steak and scallops and avocado/cucumber rolls. The fruit was fresh and ripe so I enjoyed that as well.

(zero mfing stars) This was hands down the worst sushi experience of my life. The buffet looked like it had been sitting out since last week--fish was warm, limp, and smelled questionable. The "sushi" was mostly rice with a tiny sliver of something unidentifiable on top. I'm pretty sure I saw imitation crab passed off as tuna. The hot food section wasn't any better. The tempura was soggy, the noodles tasted like cardboard, and the miso soup was basically salty dishwater. The staff acted like they were doing us a favor by letting us eat there, and dirty plates piled up on our table the entire time. By the time I left, I was genuinely worried about food poisoning. A buffet should never feel like a gamble with your health. Honestly, gas station sushi would have been a safer and tastier option. Save your stomach, your money, and your sanity--with these scamming people, sour smelling "ambiance" .....skip this place.

Oh my ... this was truly an AYCE buffet with great foods from the serving displays to having bountiful sushi and best of all the Korean BBQ table experience. Staff here have gone out of their way to serve with friendliness and attention. Four of us were seated at the table where the Hot Grill is fired up as number one son wants the Korean BBQ choices he knows and yearns for. From fresh vegetable combo to pork and steaks and even the squid were cooked up. Three of us enjoyed the multiple choices of shrimp and chicken and soups and more. We tried all the favorites and went back for more. The Hot and Sour soup is a thumbs up. Wait staff couldn't be better as we had our plates removed and our drinks refilled and generally very friendly and helpful. Desserts of fresh fruits and tarts and cakes for the sweet tooth and for me it included bars of Hershey icecream. We enjoyed the seating arrangement and the cleanliness of the restaurant. We will make another special trip to Dynamite Sushi Steak & Grill when in Gainesville GA, and stop here for lunch or dinner again. We are certainly glad that we did today.

We went well after lunch so some stuff wasn't fresh and was a bit dried out, but I can't blame them for that. Everything had great flavor. Some favorites were the lo mein, coconut milk shrimp, egg rolls, dumplings, fried fish, pepper steak, and coffee cake. The California hand rolls were excellent and extremely fresh. Service was very good. Friendly, attentive, knowledgeable. The price was fairly high but definitely fair for the quality, selection and being AYCE. We will definitely be back.

Good selection of food. There was plenty of choices of usual items and the sushi with dessert options were plentiful. The restaurant was open and bright and not too crowded even for dinner. The staff were wonderfully inviting.

Got a flyer in the mail announcing their grand opening (been open 4 months?). We decided we would give it a try and scout it out for the parents who like AYCE Chinese with the possibility of crab legs. We went for lunch though and arrived just after opening to ensure nice hot fresh food. The place is nice and clean looking. I told the waiter up front that we were veterans as they offer a 10% discount and he said he would take care of it. We were seated in a booth and ordered a sushi roll and a couple of pieces of sushi before checking out the bar. The bar has a few items but it's clear the main business seems to be sushi and hibachi. Wife stuck with the bar, but I ordered some hibachi when we sat back down. The little bit I got from the bar was ok and wife said the same though she found plenty to eat. The first plate of sushi was fantastic. The roll was only 4 pieces but they were large. They do use things like fake crab to cut down on prices. The mackerel was as good as any sushi restaurant and I could probably just get 20 pieces of that for lunch. Hibachi arrived and even though the menu said it comes with rice, it did not. Sure there was some on the bar but it's not the same as being cooked with everything. The shrimp was slightly under cooked and the steak was chewy. I like the places you just grab what you want to be grilled yourself and hand it to someone to cook better. Ordered another sushi roll and more mackerels. Didn't see that the roll we picked was fried. It was ok, a bit strange. After eating we were presented with the bill where the discount was forgotten. It can happen. That was fixed, though only one of us got 10% off even though we are both veterans. I didn't feel like gripping about it. Bringing it up because I feel the place for lunch ($18) or dinner ($30) is pricey. We said we might come back if we just want sushi. Maybe.

Excellent food and service, one of the better selections and so fresh! The variety is just enough and I highly recommend if you like hibachi style as well

I've eaten a lot of pie over the years, homemade, fresh baked from a bakery and from the freezer, this peach pie was one of the best peach pies I have ever ever ever eaten hands down. The crust and lattice work was amazing, the pie was loaded with larges slices of peaches folded into a slight tart filling and for me the most impressive feature of the pie besides the taste was the texture of the fruit which was still relatively firm instead of being mushy like you get in some fruit pies. I am definitely a fan of this bakery and fortunately for me I have a camping trip planned next month in very close proximity to them and will absolutely pay them an in person visit to see what other goodies they have to offer and to fill my freezer. Southern Baked Pie Company is definitely a company you should try...

For the sake of honesty, let me start by saying my initial experience with the Gainesville store…read morewas not awesome. BUT... Management made it right and I sincerely appreciate that effort even though I didn't expect or ask for anything like that to happen. The director of operations went above and beyond and it says a lot about a company when their upper management actually cares that much about one customer's experience. All I wanted was to make a listing error known after what I thought I ordered turned out to be something completely different. My issue was more than fixed by the DoO personally bringing me the pot pie I'd thought I'd ordered as well as a full sized key lime pie; and I'm so appreciative of the effort put forth to make things right. It was completely unexpected but a beautiful gesture just the same. With that said... My thoughts on the food? Cons: I do think it's a bit pricey for a pot pie or a pie in general. The filling needs to be a bit thicker. It was a tad too runny. Pros: Can I make a great pot pie from scratch at home? Yes. Did I have time to do that this week? No. Is mine as good as theirs? Filling wise? Maybe, however theirs did have a very nice flavor. But their crust is FABULOUS! And just so happens to be the best part of a pot pie, in my opinion and I humbly admit, in that realm, they have me beat by miles. We got the frozen, take and bake, which was super convenient. Directions were easy to follow. Just remove the plastic wrap, pop in the oven on 400 for 30 minutes and then lower temp to 375, bake again for an additional 50-60 minutes. Leaving me without having the usual mess I create when I make my own pot pie and after an incredibly busy Monday-Wednesday, I was so grateful! The key lime pie... all I can say is WOW!! I'm not a dessert baker and don't really eat dessert often but I could make an exception for that pie, ANY TIME!! It was just the right balance of tart and sweet, and so creamy! I also loved, even though this is probably an unpopular opinion, that they didn't cover the pie in meringue. Over all, initial error/experience aside, I'm very happy with the food and its quality, as well as the business ethics of the company as a whole. Would I do it again? Yeah, I think I would. It's a healthier option than fast food and even with the price being a bit high, I think it's worth it.
