I recently moved from Los Angeles to Cedar Park, Tx and purchased a HAUSLANE UC-PS18 Under Cabinet…read morerange hood. My microwave oven range hood is not satisfactory and the smoke alarm goes off all the time because I cooked a lot and generated a lot of smoke. I found TX5J Handyman ("Daniel & Crew") on Yelp and contacted them. Danel came over, did a detailed FREE inspection and gave me a competitive quote in 24 hours. I then decided to hire them for the job. They came in at 7:30 A.M. in the morning to beat the summer heat. It requires piping and extension exhaust vent directly to outside top siding. It was not an easy job but they completed the job at 2:45 p.m. I am completely satisfied and happy with Daniel & His Crew. Photo is attached "Before and After". P.S.1 It's beautiful isn't it? Yes, they even did the "white box" enclosure (so you won't see the pipe) between the roof and the under cabinet that holds the HAUSLANE range hood to make it look first class+style. Thank you for your help. You people did a good job.

I got frustrated and started a project on Yelp, TX 5J handyman responded very fast to my inquiry and came on the same day to give me estimate. Then gave me a very honest diagnosis for a short term fix and long term fix. I went with the short term for now and they came back the second day to fix it now the drain doesn't leak anymore. Daniel is very fast response to my inquiry over the text; and they did a good job fixing it at a decent price. Highly recommend for others to use them.

I hired NXT Construction to remodel my duplex in Copperas Cove, and the entire experience was…read moreextremely disappointing. From the beginning, I was told certain items were included in the project, but later almost everything became a "change order" or an upcharge. They're cheap. They used left over materials for my condo renovation. Even simple requests suddenly became "too expensive," which made the process feel misleading and inconsistent. The quality of the work does not reflect the money I paid. The job was definitely rushed, many important details were left incomplete, and the results did not match what was promised. Concerns I raised--such as mold issues and specific finish requests like quartz countertops--were dismissed or avoided, and nothing was handled with the level of professionalism I expected. To make matters worse, one of my front screen doors went missing during the project and was never addressed. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. I feel the work performed did not justify the cost, their communication was unreliable, and their business practices lacked integrity. I strongly encourage others to choose a different contractor. Save your money.

He said he was still able to meet at noon and complete the job the same day, however, after I said I had to leave at 3:30pm and not sure if he could still finish the job before that time, he stopped replying to me and the second day, when I asked him if he can still come at noon, he kept ignoring my messages because I can see he read the messages already. If he cannot come, he can just provide another time frame or tell me not able to serve, it is totally okay to me and I can look for others. But what I really cannot understand is, is it so difficult to just reply a message if he is running his business? So unprofessional. I never leave one star in a review, but this time, if yelp allows, I really want to leave zero star.

After we met this month to have him do more work at my business and my home, he completely ignored all communication for over a week (when he knew I was on a fairly tight window to get this work done), although he still managed to find plenty of time to post all day, every day on Facebook. DO NOT RECOMMEND. If you give them ANY money, they won't give it back. It's theft plain and…read moresimple. I've had to threaten to go to court at this point because they are refusing to refund $6,000 for a job that was never performed and because of their complete lack of communication and very POOR customer service. After two weeks of waiting on a refund, I was told that I'm emotional, angry, upset, etc. Both Robert and his wife Stephanie have said these things to me verbally over the phone. Then I was told I am the problem. Would you not be upset if someone was holding $6K of your money and refusing to give it back and just giving excuses? Basically, I call and get name called and when I respond in like, I'm the "emotional" one. They said deposits are not refundable in general... Nowhere in the contract or the few emails I have was I ever told that I this money was non-refundable. I would not have signed the contract had I known this. In my experience, you pay a contractor at completion or the money is refundable. Also, I was never told or given a timeline for my job so it is the reason I reached out frequently (with no response from them) and ultimately decided I did not want to work with this company anymore. Here's my detailed experience: I requested an estimate 3 months ago. No one reached out to after this appointment. I had to reach out to them ~3-4 weeks later for the estimate. After requesting two things removed, I paid it. Then I reached out several times via calling and emailing to see when my job would be scheduled for. My emails were completely ignored. When I called I was always told by Stephanie that Robert would give me a call back and he never did. It went like this for months. Finally, I left a message stating that I needed to know when I was on the schedule or that I wanted my money back so I could hire someone else. Stephanie called back and said potentially 5/17 and that Robert someone else would call to confirm. On 5/10 I still had no confirmation that they would be there the following week and I had an urgent family situation come up. I decided it wasn't worth the headache anymore to keep trying to deal with this so I called and requested my money back. That's when their true colors really started to show. Stephanie and Robert told me how they are family people and their intentions are to do best by their customers and they wanted to make this right. Ha. Ha. Ha. Jokes on me because I really believed them at first. I again waited a week, didn't hear back. Called and talked to Robert finally who said he has to "chase" down my money and would update me by the end of the week. ONCE AGAIN, he did not call my by the end of the week, so I called him late afternoon on Saturday, left a voicemail and texted. He said I could call anytime. So I call back this morning, he was upset that I had called and texted late Saturday, yet he's the one who said I could call anytime....... He told me "you are angry" and it's making you "forget things". I asked for proof in writing where it states the timeline for my job and that the deposit was non-refundable. He told me, "I never put timelines in writing because I don't want to be held to it." THERE IT IS!!!! So Robert and Stephanie don't want to be held accountable to do the work in a timely manner, but they want to hold me accountable for the money. I finally had to say if I do not have my money back by the end of the week, I'm filing a lawsuit in small claims court. I do not want to do this at all. It's just another headache to go through. But I will not stand by and let someone steal $6,000 from me.
