In Tyler, my spot was a standard Andy's. In Lubbock, there's J's Creamery. In Georgetown, that spot is Frozen Flamingo. Frankly, custard is far superior to ice cream. This is my review, so I'm right for the next few paragraphs. Custard is far superior to ice cream. Frozen Flamingo knows what they're doing with the concretes and the sundaes. The space is cute. There's a definite tropical vibe going on with the wooden chairs, the straw umbrellas, the string lights, and the potted plants. It's selling its aesthetic, and the branding clicks once you see the front of the space. There's total charm here. In front of me, I watched a kid get some sort of concrete with gummy eyeballs on top. I then watched him drop one of the eyes, ask for another, and immediately drop the new one. This doesn't help the review. It was just really funny. I went for a small, create-your-own concrete with Oreo on vanilla custard. No need to reinvent the wheel. One thing I noticed looking at the menu was how many options they have. Concretes, sundaes, shakes, cones, floats, frozen daiquiris, frozen lemonades, and frozen margaritas. Most places only focus on custard, but the beverage side could definitely speak to me on the right evening. They do run a little slow, at least during my visit, but not enough to shift the energy I was feeling. Once I got the custard, I thought it was great. Your standard affair. Better than ice cream. It's a place where you can hit the drive-thru and take your sweets home, or step aside and really take in your friendships, your life, and your well-being by living in the moment. The Frozen Flamingo is a place of love. And eyeballs that a kid drops.

I came on Saturday the 15th for the Car Show. Per John's…read moresuggestion, I decided to try the upstairs. The upstairs bartender (sorry I did not get you name) was great. Bloody's were very good. Not sure what was in the pitcher, but they were not made by pouring out of a bottle of Zing Zang. (which I do like btw) This is in a very rustic, hastily put together space, and now that the problem child is gone. it is time for some upgrades and a makeover - as John has suggested. You have your proof of concept, now just dress it up. A suggestion on the sound. It was pretty much inaudible upstairs. I could hear that ya'll were talking - just very hard to make out the words. Which was a shame because I really wish I could have made out the Q&A Session better. I saw speakers everywhere - they just were not sending words to me. Not sure if it was better downstairs.

Once I arrived I knew I was right by the amount of Harleys that were outside. Some Custom some Stock. Even the parking out front was reserved for Bikes. If you like riding to Strokers in Dallas you will love Roadhouse. If you are in North Texas and you head here you will not be disappointed. From what I understand the establishment is under New Ownership. Management, from my experience is killing it. The menu has a lot of options and literally everything wa appealing. I'm a Wing guy so that was a given. Big Wings cooked and seasoned perfectly served with what might be the best hand cut Onion Rings I had in a long time. If I remember there were like five flavors and I'm sure there was no bad choice on flavors. There is also a Steakhouse from what I'm told serves a very good Rib Eye. I should also mention the Burgers were said to be the best around. The Bartender Jennifer was very nice and made some tasty Cocktails. They also had a very good selection of Beers and some that seemed to be Texas favorites lol. I had a chance to talk to the Manager Reggie who was a nice guy. He said they have live Music some days. The place was.complete with a Stage and an area for Dancing. He said Ted Nugent was there recently. Definitely it my thing but to each his own. It's off the beaten path but as I said a great place to go to get away for a few Hours. Next time I'm in Fort Worth I'll probably go again. Especially if I find a business that Rents Bikes. Still thinking about those Wings. Lol. Yallhollatchaboy'.
