update 1/14/2026. Received the slide end of 2024 but had to send my slide back because of fitting issue january 2025. Never received back or heard from them. went to the actual location in may 2025. when i went to the location the owner pedro said he would look for it and said if he couldn't find it he would give me one of his personal glock 17 slides. gave him the day to find it came back next morning to find out he did not find my original slide and said he was going to send me his personal slide. i wanted to leave with it before making the drive back but when i went to collect it from his shop he said he "put in the oven." i knew he was just bs and was never gonna give me slide so i left without a slide or making a scene. kept contacting him at least once a month until october november ish i asked where my slide is at and he said he was going to make a fresh one. the amount of bullshit i kept taking from them was too much so i ether wanted a slide they could ship out the next day or a refund. eventually settled on a glock 19 slide instead of a 17 that should've been sent the next day. bugged them for 2 weeks straight never got jack and now in january 2026 ordered originally in june 2024 with no slide in sight. not sure what kinda of company this guy is running but honestly should've contacted better business bureau a lot earlier. also since working for a gun store now and talking to different slide cutting services in the industry worst company to give your money in the gun industry. read more

Dear sweet baby Jesus, where to begin. First off, I'll say that I am an HB local, which is the only reason I chose this shop. I was aware of the reputation of DWS before going in but elected to give them a shot anyhow as many times online reviews can be misleading, one sided or just complaints. Meeting Pedro in person was reassuring. He seemed knowledgeable, eager to help and gave direction and feedback on my gun mod requests. I opted for slide cuts, coating, optics, light and expedited service. Pedro reassured me that service, parts and delivery (pick up) would be completed by the end of the following week. I paid in full, just over $1,000, and left my slide. Pedro even mentioned the "untrue" negative reviews online from people that were just "impatient" and stated he was a "one-man" shop. Unfortunately, I have to report that all of the negative feedback is 100% correct. What a nightmare. I count myself as fortunate as I have my slide back finally, and my "expedited" service was completed considerably sooner than most. I had the ability to drop in or swing by the shop, and ran into a few other customers on my visits, always with the same story, "waiting forever" and "received (blank) excuse from Pedro". Hearing how far back they had dropped their stuff off was wild. It was June and they stated they had dropped off last year! I dropped off on 5/16/25. Everything is complete as of today, 7/2/25. This probably is the most expedited that they do, even though I was initially told 1 week. Every week since the missed delivery date I reached out to Pedro for an update. I received excuse after excuse. Everything from delayed parts, family trips and most recently, a car accident and hospital stay. The best one was when he told me that my slide cuts and paint were completed and he was just waiting on parts delivery and that he would send me a picture (6/04/25). No picture was ever received. Only to be told when I dropped in that the slide was cut and prepped for paint (not painted), while parts were still on order (6/06/25). I should mention that parts (holosun light and optic 507 comp-green) are readily available from Amazon with next-day delivery. I finally was able to pick up the slide (cut and coated) 6/11/25. It was then a flurry of follow up and delays, requests for refund on non-delivered parts, excuses, offers to provide additional services (yeah right!) and offers of supplement parts. Ultimately, I agreed to meet with Pedro 7/1/25 for parts delivery and install. When I showed up for our scheduled meet time, 2pm, Pedro was at Harbor Freight, so another person at his shop called him and he said to drop off my gun and pick up tomorrow (today). Not what we discussed, but I just wanted to get this done, so I left my gun. When I showed up to pick up today, nothing had been done, but Pedro advised he would take care of it now. Came back an hour later for pick up. Everything looked fine, pedro advised that he zero'd the optic (Holosun states that optics arrive zero'd), which I'll test out at the range and with my barrel laser since I really don't trust him. Pedro also advised that refund on price difference on optic and refund on light (purchased off Amazon instead) would take 10-12 days. I smiled, shook his hand and left. I already Issued a dispute on my credit card for the difference between payment and parts received as I am not waiting for more excuses from Pedro. I honestly would have left everything alone, I'm not a review writer and I'm generally an easy going guy; however, the label on my gun case when I picked up my order today included the word "b1tch" written on it. Haha. Very professional. In the end, I'm Just glad to be done with this company and Pedro's excuses. I feel bad for everyone who doesn't have the ability to drop in like I did, you'll likely be waiting much longer. I'll take my slide and the name-calling and count myself lucky to be done with DWS and Pedro. The TLDR here, shop somewhere else. If you do make the mistake of purchasing something from them, you won't see your property again for a long, long time. If you are able to drop in for status, you'll be labeled a b1tch. Haha! Last Friday, April 12, I dropped off the slide for my Glock 43X at Dynamic Weapons Solutions for a fresh cerakote. My slide is equipped with a Holosun 507 K red dot sight and suppressor height sights. They sent me periodic emails advising me on the progress of my order throughout the week. Today, April 19, I received an email from them advising me that my slide was ready for pick up. Picked up my slide and it came out fantastic!!! It looks beautiful and it only took a week!!! Customer service was outstanding! Pedro and Sonia are awesome! They are honest, hard working people who have great integrity and take pride in their work. This is the 5th slide that I've had modified by Dynamic Weapons Solutions. All the slide cuts, cerakote and red dot sight placement have been spot on. Never had a problem. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS! They are liars and cheats. The finished product is a joke. Tons of excuses and lies. Im local and i paid double for 24 hour turn around service for optic cut and cerakoted. I was told I could pick up my slide the next day. This started 7 days of excuses. "My guy that cuts slides is out today." "We got a screw tap stuck in your slide and we have to send it out to be removed!" "It will be done tomorrow." "Oh I need to do this right so it's gonna take a couple more days." My 24 hour turn around became a week. After 7 days of excuses I was told my slide was ready to be picked up. When I arrived i was greeted by a guy that looks homeless. His hair was all over the place and he looked like he just woke up. Very unprofessional. My slide was cut but they didn't cerakote it! I asked why and was told you wanted to pick it up and we didn't have time to finish it! He said he could keep the slide and cerakote it. Instead of cerakote the guy took a gun blue pen and put a thin layer of blue on the exposed cut. He said i blued it, thats actually more expensive than cerakote! What??? More lies and shitty work. Why tell me that the slide is done when it wasnt? I took my slide and got outta there! Seriously, what a bunch of ass clowns! I told the homeless looking guy that I will be disputing the entire charge to my card. He asked why. I said I paid double for 24 hour turn around and it's been 7 days. After my slide cut order, Communication must have been lost in translation because I never received notification of the process/address to continue the process, I watched the video on the website which mentions "you will receive an email regarding the process" so I sat around and waited but it never arrived. Eventually, I called and I was transferred to Pedro, from there, his communication was phenomenal, he sent a text in response with additional upsell options, Pedro is extremely hands on and even took the time to Facetime me for a minor hiccup. Nov 2020 Since I live nearby, I dropped off my serialized slide and my serialized barrel. They were returned to me on February 26, 2021. discovered that my slide had been replaced with a precut slide since all of my serial numbers were missing and the precut slide's physical construction did not match that of my other stock Glock 19. Additionally, the barrel was changed when it shouldn't have been. I only wanted the tin hue of the coating. My gun's serial number is currently only on my lower now. They won't return my serialized components to me. There is not to be a slide swap, according to the notes that were handwritten on the receipts. It also states that hey are to coat the clients barrel as you can see in my photos. . I have pictures of every document. They start by saying, "Even if the barrel was switched out, I got a better, higher-quality barrel. I don't think so. I wanted to maintain every component with a serial number. They simply do what they want without asking permission before changing any elements. On the same day in November 2020, I also bought basepads that were coated to match my barrel. My base pads arrived on July 26, 21--eight months later. I called so many times only to get them, but I just got excuses. I have so many emails.  The problem was never solved, and it still isn't. If my serial number ever comes back to bother me because someone else used it to commit a crime, I'll pledge I'll bring the hammer down. I'll need to hire some attorneys. I'm sure the business will get in touch with me once again and claim to be able to fix the problems, but if you read online evaluations, including YouTube videos, you'll see that many other people have encountered the same problems and others that I didn't. They constantly make an excuse, and then months pass before a problem is finally resolved, only to discover that shortcuts were once more taken, causing us to develop new problems as a result of attempting to address the previous ones. I've had work done by many machine and paint/cerakote shops, and DWS remains my preferred machine shop for cerakote and slide work. The precision of their work, attention to detail of their QC, and the follow through of an order is second to none. I am a 6 time return customer to DWS and have had slide and cerakote work done on the following: 1. Glock 19.3 - RMR Cut and Multicam Black Cerakote 2. Glock 26.3 - Precut Slide with Holosun K/EPS Footprint Cut with custom Gold and Black Camo Cerakote 3. Glock 20.3 - RMR Cut and FDE Cerakote 4. I ordered a hybrid slide and optic in early February with them initially giving me a lead time of 4-6 weeks, which is a long time to begin with but I understand the supply chain is a bit messed up. After the 6 weeks passed, they stopped responding to emails. 4 weeks later and almost 7-8 emails and multiple calls, they responded saying it was now 10-12 weeks. I STILL have not gotten my order and the only responses I've gotten are "it didnt pass inspection, needs to be redone" and that was almost 3 weeks ago. Do NOT use these guys. I used to be a huge fan of this company. There was some company imperfections but the straw that broke the camels back was when I had dropped a slide off and was told it was a 10 day turn around and received it half a year later with a missing RMR optic. Pedro, the owner is very good at making sales rather than deadlines so be aware when dropping stuff off here. I dropped the slide off early summer of 23 and received it sometime later after multiple follow up attempts. I then questioned where my RMR optic went and was told I never dropped it off and that they don't take in customers optics (mind you I had some work done previously and left my optic there). I purchased a brand new Trijicon RMR and put my Glock 17 slide in the Trijicon RMR case and gave it to one of his employees in person. For months I then messaged him via instagram and called the shop and he said he would check in to see if he found it or had any different optics to replace mine with. For months and months I got useless replies about him going to "check in the am" "message me tomorrow" " I ordered one and holosun is back ordered" mind you I had already ordered a new optic and placed it on my EDC because of the run around he has given me. There was also messages in our chat that stated I had my optic there when he still had my slide as I was inquiring about additional work being done to another one of my firearms while we were still within the 10 day turn around time he promised. I stopped trying to reach out because it was insane to me how this staple of the gun community can blow off a loyal customer who is also a first responder. I cannot continue to support this company and I forewarn anyone who I hear ever mention thinking about heading here. I last messaged him in August of 2024 and he no longer responds. I felt I was lied to on multiple occasions, told there were delays in receiving a lesser valued optic than what I left him because of backorder. They're communication throughout the whole process was great and in my experience mine took about 4 weeks. The wait was absolutely worth it, the optic cut tolerance alone is great, no wiggle room with the screws not being installed. The cuts are nice and grippy but not too aggressive. The cerakote is nice and even all around. I threw in some Trijicon suppressor height sights in a bag and taped it to the slide when I sent it in, and they installed it for me free of charge and even sent the plastic stock Glock irons. Not to mention the competitive pricing they have, I couldn't be happier with my slide, I've kept it out of the safe since I got it just to admire it. Sent this so called "gun shop" an M&P slide for slide cuts and serrations and also bought an optic from them to be installed back in October of 2024. It will be a year next month and I still haven't received my slide. Over the course of almost a year I've contacted them with emails, and phone calls with no progress. I have always sent my gun parts out of state for any customization or to get work done but this time I wanted to support the local shops in southern Cali so I decided to sent them my slide, biggest mistake ever. When my slide was not ready in the time they advertised at first I contacted them with emails for updates of my order , which they responded to in a timely manner. More time passed and I contacted them again with an email. Every time I contacted them there was always something, or an excuse. A month went by and I sent them another email but now they had stopped responding, so then I started calling the shop, again I asked about my order and at that point it was all BS they were feeding me. They started saying by the end of the week it would ship. The following week I called again because I didn't get a tracking number. This time they told me something broke so I would have to call back the following week to speak with the "armorer" or some BS like that. The following week I called again and they said they would call me back. I never received a call back. They said they did call me but I didn't answer the call but at the same time they never left a message or call back number. There were times during this whole fiasco where I didn't contact them for about a month, you'd think that would be enough time for them to finish my slide, they probably hoped I forgot about my slide too I'm guessing, but nope. After I was fed up with all the run around and their BS I came here to YELP to write a review about this "shop", place, scam, not sure what it is anymore. After I wrote my review and posted it within a few moments I received a call from the shop. Long story short the person calling was the owner Pedro, he started looking into my order and told me he would make my order a priority and get me my slide by the end of the week (again). I was like ok since it was the "owner" that I talked to this time then maybe things will be different, he even gave me a direct number to contact him and the shop. I did him a favor and removed the review from YELP. Two more weeks went by went by, nothing. The following week he sent me a "tracking number". When I went to check the tracking number the website for the courier said label was created but they had not received the package. In other words the tracking number was bogus. Another week went by and the courier had not received the package. At that point I sent the owner a text telling him I wanted my slide back the way it was, I didn't care if it was finished or not. I'm guessing my slide is lost, or most likely stolen ( from them). The last time I sent a text to the "owners" direct number I asked him where my slide was he replied with "what". That was last weekend from the time of this post. Save yourselves the hassle, BS, time, and your money. The worst experience I've had with a gun shop. One way to go about it now for getting my slide back, even though I'll be spending more money in court but I'm not giving up on my slide. FINAL UPDATE: So I got my G27 conversion from my local armorer in SD and paid over $350 in additional fees to redo my G27 slide that DWS worked on. The MOS cut was totally jacked... the tap screws never finished... my slide was butchered. I spent another $100 removing the "free" cerakote that was essentially spray painted onto my slide before they tried to return it to me as "completed". And, by the way, my barrel was never cut down and crowned. When asked about the barrel, he said his vendor "bullshited" him and that "buyers are liars". To sum up my experience over the last few months... so did DWS. If you are a gun shop referral or customer, you are negligent to send anything to DWS. I have receipts to prove everything... so buyer beware. Glad this nightmare is over. REPLY TO PEDRO'S RESPONSE: I'm not sure how to format a "reply" to your excuses... so I'll edit my review to share them here: Your post was illiterate and nothing more than excuses. I've read many of your excuses about reviews from other dissatisfied customers during my ordeal with your shop. Sonia was more than happy to take on my project when I came in initially. You were happy to take my initial deposit when I refused to pay you in full before work even started. In my recent experience and to quote you...everything out of YOUR mouth is "bullshit". We can let it be but I have an obligation to share my experience with other gun shop referrals and gun owner customers. So where to begin. My experience with Pedro at DWS. Got to say it wasn't the best. I had 2 guns done here. 1st was a sig p238. Wanted to start with something small, single color on the slide with optic cut. Was told 4 weeks. After many calls and was told different reasons for the delays, I was finally told they were waiting on my optic to be delivered but he had no ETA. I told him to credit me for the optic and I'll bring my own. Ordered on Amazon and recieved it the next day. So 12 weeks later this project was finally done. I told myself I'll never go back. But after some shopping around I couldn't find anybody to do my Sig 40cal P226. Now here we go down this rabbit hole. 1st we started with a single color and optic cut. deposit was sent and I made my way to drop it off. Once there and after much thought I decided to do 4 color camo plus the seeker cut on the slide. Plus some other details including a barrel porting and color change. I was told 12 weeks to complete. I thought well at least we're getting a more honest time line. Boy was I wrong. 22 weeks later I get the call that it's ready. I ask for a picture and color was all wrong. No camo, just a single color. WTF. He said they'll redo it. 26 weeks later, pick up day. You would think after all that time when I finally got it, it would be perfect. Nope! Color on my light and magwell were changed without my approval ( In hindsight it did look good). So I decided to leave it. But my seeker slide cut was suppose have chevron. That didn't happen. Optic didn't sit flat and had a ton of movement. Barrel was completely the wrong color. Racked my slide and cerakote was flying off. It was like Murphy's law. Just about everything went wrong. I couldn't even begin to start with all the reason I was given how this whole project went to s***. Here I am with a Unreliable gun. What choice but to leave it with him to fix it. I was told 1 week. Two weeks later got it back. Optic still was loose. Pointed it out to Pedro he tighten it, but still wasn't right. I ended up buy new screws and secured it later myself. A week later took it out to the range to sight it in. And my surefire light that DWS installed it flies off. Come to find out the attachment for the p-rails wasn't install. SMH! Called Pedro out on it. His reply IDK why my gunsmith would have taken it off. I wonder maybe to cerakot the light. I swear the garbage of excuses is endless. He said he'll send out the parts after I showed him the cost of replacement part. He stated the parts would be shipped out that day. Waited a week called him and to no surprise the parts hadn't been shipped. finally got a tracking number and recieved the parts. But here's the catch wasn't even for my style light. After all that he finally just zelle me the money and I ordered the parts myself. pedro you should consider changing the name of your company from dynamics weapon solutions to murphy's law, what can go wrong will go wrong. And your slogan should be guaranteed to triple any lead time given. read more

Worst customer service ever- you simply cannot reach anyone by phone or E-mail. I do appreciate Sonia giving me her personal cell, but I still can't get a straight answer. I dropped my G21 off in early November and was told 6 weeks for slide work, stippling, co-witnessing new sights, and RMR cut. Here we are 12 weeks later and can't get a clear answer as to when I will get my pistol back. All I have been told several times now is that their stippler is behind. If they're that behind, get a new stippler and/or don't promise 6 weeks. They came recommended by Duncan's Gun Works in San Marcos. Can't wait to stop in and tell them never to recommend this place again. I let Sonia know that I want my pistol back on Friday as of yesterday, stippling or anything else finished or not with a refund to match. Not sure what the next step is. I'm pretty sure that constitutes stolen property after giving/given a deadline? read more
