I attended a prerunner truck meet at DWS back in 2024 and thought the shop was impressive. Their Instagram page showcased what appeared to be incredible work, which is why I felt confident recommending them to a coworker. Unfortunately, that recommendation turned into a major regret. My coworker dropped off his firearm in October 2024, paid money up front, and since then has received nothing but excuse after excuse with no real answers about status or completion. Despite remaining extremely patient and understanding throughout the process, he has still been unable to get any meaningful communication. At one point, he even offered to completely walk away from the work and simply have his equipment returned, but that has not happened either. I'm writing this because I genuinely feel terrible for recommending this business in the first place. I personally am not financially affected, but my coworker is, and judging by the other reviews, he is clearly not alone in this experience. If this business is no longer operating properly, the right thing to do would be to be honest with customers, release a public apology, return people's property, and move forward. I should've read the reviews and listened. I didn't. I first brought Dynamic Weapon Solutions a Glock. It took a very long time, but to be fair, the work came out good. That should've been the end of it. Instead, I brought him two HKs. Pedro, the owner, told me "quality takes time" and "if you pay ahead, I'll get it done quicker." My mistake was believing that and paying up front to help him out. What followed was two years of excuses. Not exaggerating. Two full years. I went in 11 separate times, and every single visit was either faulty work, more delays, or another excuse why nothing was done. At the end of it, he finally met me and returned my guns. They were damaged and missing the sights I had already paid for. His final excuse? He said he was out of money and shutting down. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration. The worst experience I've ever had with a store. I find it impossible to believe that completing the job took almost 40 weeks, when from the beginning Pedro assured me it would be ready in 8 weeks, 10 at the most. During the entire time, I had to constantly ask for Updates (because 10 weeks had passed), which made the the wait extremely frustrating. Every time I called or visited the store in person, Pedro always had a new excuse: that his machine broke down or that his only worker quit or that he had to stop working for the day because his daughter got into a fight with another kid, among many other excuses. It was one excuse after another one with no responsibility or professionalism. In summary, the customer service is terrible, the process was endless (even though it's not done), and on top of that very expensive considering all the inconveniences and lack of seriousness. Honestly I don't even understand how this business is still running, I would not recommend it under any circumstances. It took 6+ months to get the optic cut on my HK performed. Made several trips since communication was sporadic at best through email or phone. In the end, Pedro did come through and got me my slide back with the cut. Just bummed it took so long to get done - and this was my CCW pistol.. I then took my second HK over to Dual Hammer near LAX. No joke, the exact same cut on an identical gun took one week. No fuss no muss. If time isn't important to you, then Pedro will eventually take care of you assuming you really stay on top of him. I actually purchased a slide for a gen 3, I have a gen 5. Pedro the owner (sorry if I remember the name wrong) was super cool about it, exchange it for me and since I had my Glock with me, he put it on for me, lubed it up no charge. He asked if I had my red dot with me and offered to put it on as well. Super friendly and helpful. It's not Amazon so don't expect to get something in two days.. DON'T TAKE ANYTHING TO THIS SHOP terrible service I ordered my parts 12/21/24 was a custom slide and barrel for my p320 and still to this day haven't got my parts back and I am not the only one either. Always excuses on why the parts aren't done. Then when they are "done" something comes up. Found Pedro through the off-road raptor scene and seen a lot of people take him parts to get done. From what I have seen and heard from people I know your parts aren't getting done unless you are trading work. If you have nothing to trade him for work that benefits him and his truck you aren't getting your parts done anytime soon. Dude is hard to get ahold of weather that's through his shop number and instagram that he is always posting on. As well as his personal number. Supposed to get my parts on an upcoming off-road event coming up we'll see if he brings the parts like he said he would. You're making a foolish decision if you still decide to give them your business and hand over money after all the 1-star posts about significant delays (some over two years), the product or services you already paid for not being delivered, and the constant lies about why. Update: 01/08/2026 ORDER #14138 This company is running a deliberate and deceptive operation. After contacting Pedro regarding the fact that USPS still had not received my slide for shipment, he provided excuse after excuse, including the absurd claim that USPS "loses packages" or "sends them elsewhere." A package does not magically go "elsewhere" when the correct address is on the label--unless it was never addressed correctly to begin with. The shipping label was created on 12/02, yet the package showed no real movement for weeks. On 12/27, tracking suddenly updated showing the package in Coppell, Texas. I am located in Northern California. That alone was a massive red flag. On 12/31 it showed Oakland, CA, and on 01/02 it arrived at my local USPS facility. Here is where the truth came out. Although Pedro previously sent me a label showing my address, the package was marked as delivered to a completely different address in my neighborhood. I immediately contacted USPS. They pulled the scanned package and confirmed that the label physically attached to the box was NOT my address. It was an entirely different address. USPS was very clear: the package was delivered to the address printed on the label, and they could not retrieve it. USPS explicitly stated that the shipper--Pedro--had shipped the package to the wrong address. This was not a USPS mistake. When confronted, Pedro's response was simply, "That blows." He refused to provide the address my property was shipped to and continued to claim he "packaged the slide himself," while simultaneously denying responsibility. He insisted it was shipped to my address, despite USPS confirming that was categorically false. At this point, the pattern is undeniable. This was not an accident. This was either gross negligence or intentional misdirection. Either way, my property is gone. Where to start. I had the same lead time issues that everyone else had but on top of that they milled too much material off the top of my slide and compromised my drop safety on my XD so I had been using a pistol without a drop safety for who knows how long. On top of that my gunsmith told me the cut was crooked AND because they made the cut without leaving slide material to support the rear of my optic, so it was at risk for shearing the screws and flying off. Absolutely criminally negligent and on top of that they treat their customers like trash unless you sing their praises. Edit: To answer the comment below 1. My gunsmith has a complete understanding of this and showed me how milling into the drop safety can and will cause it to malfunction. 2. I actually never requested my front sight to be recut I'm not sure what he's referring to? Also my gun isn't in multicam so I think he has the wrong order. 3. I left it at the front door at 1035am july 17th according to my call logs when they were open. It's irrelevant though since they confirmed they received it? 4. EDIT: November 4, 2025 Haven't received my slide back. It has been nine months for an optics cut. I went to the store location a few days back to get my slide back, after being told everything was done they were just waiting for my optic. Sure. The store was closed two hours before their listed time and no one answered the phone until around an hour after. I let them know that I wanted my slide back regardless of the state it was in and was told no "they don't do that." They stated they would be liable if they gave me my gun and I couldn't reassemble it. Insanity. The person on the phone requested to call me back after he "officially" closed the store at 6pm to have a "conversation" about what we are going to do about my slide. That I could "potentially" pick it up the next day. I told him to just text me the details as I had things to do and I wasn't sure why we needed to have a "conversation" for him to give me back my slide. I have heard nothing back for six days. Right after the call I contacted the Huntington Beach PD and they got me in contact with the LA field division of the ATF. I let them know I had requested my slide back but DWS was refusing to give it back. Both groups let me know they will contact me back after they look into it. My slide took nearly 8 months to complete and it was a simple slide cut, RDS cut and DLC. Not to mention I paid extra for the DLC finish and later came to find out it was in fact just cerakote that they did. Robbery! Do NOT give this place your money. Pedro contacted me regarding my order after my initial review and offered to expedite the order, upgrade the cerakote, and to throw in some suppressor height sights for the inconvenience. Its now November 14th and I have yet to receive an actual update from Pedro for the past month though I have sent him several text messages requesting an update. Last update I received from him was that the slide is in prep for Cerakote on September 23rd. Silence since. So I guess his motivation to expedite the order and make amends for the lack of work being done was bullshit. We are now approaching 1 year and 6 months of what should have been a simple slide cut and Cerakote. I placed my order with DWS on February 5, 2025, for slide work on an M&P Shield .40, including a slide cut, front serrations, and a Cerakote finish. I received my completed slide on June 10, 2025. Throughout the process, I reached out for updates regularly--particularly after week 8. The DWS team was generally responsive, typically replying the same day or the next, although I occasionally had to follow up when a response was delayed. By around week 11, I began to grow a bit impatient with the extended turnaround, but I recognize there were a few unavoidable issues on their end, such as a broken tap that had to be carefully removed from the slide. In hindsight, I should have kept in mind that DWS is a small operation handling a high volume of custom orders, which naturally affects lead times. That said, once I received the final product, I can confidently say it was well worth the wait. The quality of the work is outstanding. The slide fits my red dot perfectly with zero play, and the team also removed the chamber indicator, which was a great bonus. After a generous application of oil and a few dozen cycles to work it in, the slide is now functioning flawlessly and ready for the range. I had read numerous reviews about DWS and saw examples of their excellent craftsmanship before committing, so I accepted the potential for delays. If you're someone who values quality and can be patient with the timeline, I highly recommend their services. We are now at the 11 month for the warranty work. It took them over a year and three months the first time to get my slide back. I reached out to Pedro 4 days ago and informed I was loosing my patience and had warned him I would take legal action if I don't get this resolved ASAP. There is some serious issues with this business. The biggest red flag is that they don't offer refunds. You are at their mercy and control and can't do anything about it while he takes and profits off your hard earned money. Another word of advice, don't send your slide if this is your CCW weapon, it will take months or a year before you get it back. Pedro, you said on Monday it shipping out which I think you lied again because it's Saturday April 5, 2025 and I haven't received it nor got an USPS email confirmation with tracking information. Either you refund my money and replace my slide with a stock one or I take legal action. I'm sick of your games and lies. It is now December 28, 2025, and I still have not received my property back. He gave me a tracking number that never originated from his shop. This guy has had my slide since last October. He claims he has been in and out of the hospital, or helping bad roommates move out, or is still waiting on parts for my slide to be completed. I believe I have heard every excuse. Pedro, if you are truly sick, may God be with you. However, what you have done to many clients is not fair. For those of us missing our slides, we are now screwed with the new law coming into effect at the beginning of the year. Not only that, but you scammed me out of $634.44. And I have text messages, emails, Yelp chats, and Instagram messages where I attempted to be reasonable with you. Even after you said you shipped my slide, and I mentioned I was going to the Huntington Beach Police to file a report, you said, "If you're gonna be in Huntington, come down and pick up.
