purchased a 2011 Lincoln MDX. Was told it only needed a tune up. Sent to my mechanic for tune up. No compression in the cylinder, basically sold with a blown motor. Buyers beware. I understand I accepted AS IS, but I accepted 'as is" was needing a tune up and not a motor. Extremely disappointed Maybe they should properly diagnose a vehicle BEFORE they sell them. I was just heading to New Hampshire for Thanksgiving with my wife and my mother-in-law. It was 430pm Wednesday afternoon before Thanksgiving. The driver side brake caliper froze on the car and we got the car off the road and found this repair shop. Omar was just about to close For the holiday, but took our car in and fixed it in an hour and a half! I Went to the shop to get a new door handle put on my vehicle and I was charged $200. I asked why so expensive ?? The mechanic stated the window has to be removed to replace the handle.. ..I knew he was lying I did my homework already.... which he sounded stupid .... I paid $65. Took my car here when I noticed a flat tire. I was really nervous about it, as I'm a total noob when it comes to cars. I have no idea what I'm doing. I walked into Dynamic Auto, and because of my nerves I totally neglected to notice that they weren't even open. A couple people were there and graciously agreed to take a look at my tire anyway. 10 minutes and twenty dollars later, the hole in my tire was patched and I was on my way. If you want someone to break an essential safety mechanism in your car while performing unrelated service and then try to charge you hundreds of dollars to fix it, then this is the place for you! Brought my car in for simple service - oil change and battery swap. Their initial price seemed reasonable. They called me later and said "we really think your brakes are worn out and unsafe". The brakes were working perfectly fine at this time, but hey, I'm not going to argue with that. Please fix! They performed the service same day really quick - great! But when I get the car and start driving home I notice that the brakes are really not working right - when I drove the car that morning the brakes were perfectly fine, but coming home from the shop the brakes require me to almost floor them to catch at all. I think maybe it's just the new brakes need some wear-in time, so I wait two weeks to see if it gets better. Nope. Bring it back in, and they're happy to look at the car for free. Swear up and down that the car is "perfectly safe, perfectly fine, nothing wrong" until I insist that they actually drive it - oh sure enough now the brake booster is "totally busted" and needs to be replaced for hundreds of dollars. Excuse me? I brought my car in for an oil change, walked out with hundreds of dollars of "brake service because they're unsafe", and now you're trying to charge me another several hundred dollars to fix brakes that are now actually unsafe? Thanks for nothing, will be taking my car to an actual reliable shop to fix their mistake. read more

One of my tires was wearing abnormally and the steering had a very slight pull to the left. There were also some speed-sensitive vibrations coming from the front axle, increasingly noticeable at highway speeds. As a DIY home auto mechanic with many years experience I suspected that I needed a front wheel alignment. The mechanics here at Dynamic Auto were very knowledgeable and honest and we talked through the vehicle symptoms and they did a thorough inspection of the front suspension components. It turns out I had worn ball joints and they told me that the ball joints needed replacing and that a wheel alignment wasn't the culprit. They were very honest with me and helped me understand why suspension ball joints would be the issue and not a misalignment. They gave me an estimate of the parts and labor charges for ball joint replacement and while I ended up doing the replacement myself to eliminate labor cost, the mechanics were straight forward and completely honest. This is rare in the automotive mechanics field. Many mechanics and tire shops, particularly in this area, would have performed the alignment knowing it wasn't necessary, resulting in unnecessary work and expense ($80 for a 4 wheel alignment). The mechanics inspected my car for at least a half hour, giving me updates of what they found, and they were willing to include the inspection free with a $18 oil and filter change. Considering their honesty and willingness to talk shop with me, I will gladly bring back my vehicle here in the future if I need a repair that I can't do in my own garage. read more

I brought my car here with an exhaust problem and was quoted almost $700 to fix it. I then brought it to another shop and paid less than $200. I don't think the mechanics at Dynamic took the time to figure out exactly what was wrong. Instead, they told me they needed to replace everything that might have been part of the problem. They also initially charged me $100 for the diagnostic, and then immediately dropped the price to $50 when I told them someone else at the shop had quoted me $50. Purchased a car from Dynamic Auto. The first day I drove it, it overheated. Stranding me at work, I brought it to a repair shop and they quoted me $1200 to fix it. When I called to complain and see if there was anything that could be done, I was told I bought the car "as is" and they had no responsibility. Technically right. Ethically and business-wise, utterly wrong. Look elsewhere to buy a used car to avoid this happening to you. Would give them a zero if I could. read more
