I've used this company for years and noted a steady decline in customer service as the original owners head towards retirement. I've worked with them three times this year. The first was an electrical outlet install at my office, which cost around $220 and the process went smoothly. The second was for another outlet in a different room in the same office, which cost $350. Marty was the technician both times and apparently the pricing is based on how quickly he feels like working that day, but that information isn't provided until the bill is due. He also cut a hole in the wrong place in the wall, pushed the drywall into the wall so it couldn't be reset and left the hole, which is still there after three months. The third time was for some help troubleshooting an outlet in my home. Marty came out and determined the outlet was wired incorrectly, then he had me go outside and switch the breakers on and off for him instead of handling the whole job himself. Fifteen minutes after his arrival, the outlet was in working order and I owed him $115 for the service call. I also asked him if he could help me plan for rewiring my home and he said it would cost around $50k without ever looking at the breaker box or taking more than a minute to think about it, which implied he simply didn't want the job and I'd have to find another electrician to help me out. When I received the bill, I noted a charge of $25 for "Materials." I called to ask what materials I was being billed for and was told by a very argumentative receptionist that it was a typo and the charge was because they drove a truck with equipment in it to the service call, not because they used any materials to repair my outlet. I asked for a refund of the $25 and was told that I should have known better because I have used their service in the past. I asked if the $25 was worth losing a customer for life and was told that there would be no refund. This appears to be a company that is on its way out, so I would recommend investing your time in building a relationship with a company that helps solve problems and cares about keeping customers rather than $25. read more

Good response time and follow up. Unfortunately the actual work was a disappointment even though they sent the person out twice to get it right. The fact though is that an unmotivated employee x 2 still = an unmotivated employee No effort was made for diagnosis. When I called the company after the first service to state that the problem was not corrected although I paid a hefty fee, the dispatcher immediately forwarded my call to the same unmotivated employee. What is the point? The person showing up the second time after doing a poor job the first time, is even less ( if that is possible) eager to take care of the problem and of course all I want to do, as a female at my home? Get him off my property as soon as possible. Found a new company to take care of the issue to my satisfaction. read more

Had some track lighting go out in my condo kitchen. Dyer was on the recommended contractors for my condo association. The guy arrived and told me the issue was a corner piece that connected a 90 degree corner on the track lighting. Then he said I needed to find one to fix it. Gave me a suggestion where to go. Charged $111 for 5 minutes and I have to find the part. I needed to "tap it with a screwdrive" if it goes out again. It went out the next morning. Called the owner and he basically told me it really isn't his problem - that I needed to find the part or he would try to find it but it would cost me a lot of money to do it. Wow! $111 for what? BUYER BEWARE Owner only bids half the job requested. Did not realize when signed contract, until they came out and wanted more money for rest of work. Additional bid was over $1500 of two other bids. Another contactor said that some companies will bid half the job then once they get started do part of the job then inform u that they didn't bid everything so that they can get more money. Of course we signed the contract, based on what we requested not realizing it was not included in bid. read more

Top notch, customer first service! From the office manager to the estimator to the electricians, every one of them was courteous, hard-working and professional. I called 5 electrical company and they were the ONLY one to come to my house to give a quote (which was helpful with a few unique items to our old house). When there was a scheduling hiccup with the utility company, the foreman stayed 2 hours late after the workday ended to see it through. Our home is much safer thanks to their careful work! I've found our electrician for any future work. No reason to look around this small business is the best! read more

This company was recommended by our real estate agent and was hired to replace outlets prior to closing on a home sale. They were available to quickly make the repairs. There was a communication mix up on date and time, but they were able to come an hour later than expected. I wouldn't expect great customer service if it caused them any inconvenience and for that reason they won't be our go-to electrical company. But they completed the work quickly and the price was reasonable. read more

Was very disappointed to find that they charge their full fee even if they are there for two minutes and say that it is not an electrical problem. If I had a customer who called multiple times I would probably try to cut them a break. I will be looking for a new company. read more
