I needed a ready to wear interview outfit for an interview in less than a week so my wife and I visited the local DXL in the Green Acres Mall. I already had a suit jacket and shoes, but had put on enough weight that my old formal clothes no longer fit me. Christian, the Associate Sales Manager, took his time with me, and really was very knowledgeable about his store's inventory and how to best dress a big guy. He measured my pants so that they would fit around my belly, instead of hang below it, the way I normally wear them. Christian also found a pair of dress slacks that was short enough to match my inseam and not droop over my shoes, but long enough not to rise up too high above my ankle when I sat down. After going through multiple options he eventually located a 100% cotton shirt that actually fit me well enough to not look ready to burst at the seams when I sit down. Not an easy feat, given that most larger size shirts were a polyester blend. We even discussed the best ways to present myself in the interview. Christian did all this over the course of about an hour while I tried on multiple shirts and pants to find the right fit. He was very personable, polite, and honest, yet tactful, when asked a direct question about his opinion on how things looked on me. In my opinion, that's a rare trait in a salesperson. He helped other customers while I tried things on, but always made me feel like finding the right clothes for me was his main focus. Christian helped us find the best deals available and really made me feel great about how I'll look on day when I need to look and feel my best. I highly recommend Christian, and this DXL store, if you are a big and/or tall guy who wants to look sharp no matter what your style. read more
