We understand how difficult things are and crime is on a rise. But locking up every article of clothing and NO ONE HAS THE KEY OR RESPONDS TO THE CALL BUTTON solves nothing and expedites foreclosure for the company quicker than expected. All I wanted to do was purchase a new winter coat for my son but no one not ever lost prevention had the key and was just told to stand there and keep pressing the buttons till someone comes. Experience: I came here on a Tuesday around 2pm. The store was pretty empty and quiet. There were no lines here even though there was a 40 minute line right downstairs at Homegoods. I have been hesitating to give this Burlington Coat Factory location a chance because of the reviews. I really liked it here though. I would've come here earlier if I knew it was nice. The lighting isn't a dingy as their Garden City location. The carpets and everything look newer. This place has high ceilings so it felt like a nice place to shop. A lot of the shelves were bare though in the beauty section. Maybe it was because they're between shelving spring products and removing Christmas stuff? I was surprised at how many dresses and gowns there were here. Prom dress shopping season! This store is located on the 2nd floor. Maybe that's why it was so empty when the stores downstairs had long lines. Its nice that there's a bathroom here. The store felt pretty stuffy. I do see that if the store had more people/lines, it would've been uncomfortable to shop in such a stuffy place. Overall, I had a pretty good experience here. Recommend it?: Yes. read more

I said a simple excuse me to one of the managers there, older woman with a blonde men's buzz cut, and she had an attitude with me telling me to just go.. rolling her eyes and sucking her teeth....as me and my boyfriend were trying to simply pass through. Disgusting attitude!!! I usually come to this location but I will not anymore due to poor service and getting treated like I'm a problem just by simply passing by. If you don't want to be in customer service, don't ! She was restocking the hair care products and was annoyed because I needed to pass through. Instead of telling this miserable woman about herself and the way you should treat customers, I will escalate this matter to corporate being that she refused to move the first time I said excuse me ,then she speaks to me rudely and my bf. This rating is not the store itself, but the frustrating customer experience i had yesterday dealing with a cashier named MAHOGANY at around 7-8pm on Saturday, feb 1st. So i came up to register 9, with all smiles taKing all the stuff i found which took me 2 hours searching. I was counting my stuff (gifts btw) and putting them one-by-one on the counter as I wanted to stay within my $300 budget. Now, it came to a point that the stuff became a mountain in front of us, there was a box of mask that fell in her trash bin, so i gestured tHat something fell in the bin. She had a pokEr face, no reaction at all, so i said "EXCUSE ME! Do you mind putting my stuff in the plastic?" She gave me a 3 second stare & grabbed a plastic & put in my stuff. I said, "do you mind?" just to embarrass her because looks like she doesn't likE to be told what to do. Then one of my stuff, small plastic wares in a net had opened up from the tie being gone. Said something to the cashier next to heR, who paged someone & put that net beside the monitor. Btw, they were chitchatting the whole timE, & i heard that her miSery is from working that sHift by force. anyway, that lady leaned over to her & said "all thIs trouble for $4.99?" I let it pass, I wasn't petty. Still going over the stuff im putting on top of the table as i was watching the card-insert machine maintaining my budget, she was just so miserable, dragging my stuff into the plastic to the point that i was stabbed with a sharp end from a hard plastic box, trying to save my stuff from being thrown hard on the table. I still gave her smiles in return for her dead stares. So when i was finally done, she took the net full of plastic wares, & put it in the bag. I said, "I thought you got me a new one?" She said "no, i included it already", I said "ohh I thought you paged a woman to request a closed net". She said "i put it already" at this point i just had it with her so i said "then I don't want it anymore. It doesn't matter if its 4.99, the fact that i am about to spend about $300, i get to decide if i want to gift this opened stuff, so, TAKE IT OUT". she did some stuff on her monitor (I wasn't paying attention so I don't know if she removed it), & when i finished paying, i said "HAVE A PLEASANT EVENING". Listen Mahogany! I am not sure why you acted the way you did today, but please don't act like i was asking items for free. Please treat your paying customers with respect, we pay your checks with our hard earned money, by patronizing your store. Save your life from misery & work behind doors so you don't have to force yourself to treat customers (and their stuff) with respect. Would i go back to Burlington from this experience? OH HELL YEAH. But hopefully this should serve a lesson for you! I will further escalate this matter because Burlington's receipts says "YOUR OPINIONS MATTER". read more

I wanted to purchase some sneakers the cashier was nice, I entered my card and an employee came and cancelled my transaction saying the price was incorrect I was like what? she was rude and nasty. I'm guessing she is the manager? She took the sneakers and left but I had somewhere to be and couldn't wait so I told the cashier sorry I gotta go and left. Customers should be treated with courtesy that employee needs to get retrained or work a different job. read more

Was so excited to find a Burlington closer to home. However, was so very dissapointed my first visit on a Black Friday! The shelves were empty everywhere, no inventory and more importantly, prices were a dissapppintment. Inventory and pricing...Rockaway store is a better choice. read more

Good supply. Wide open space. Neat. Staff ok but can be a bit more knowledgeable. Courteous. Store needs quicker replenishing too many empty racks. Conversely the racks of dresses at the front needs better organization, too tightly packed. Found nice bargains. Will return. read more

The lines are a little long but still worth going here. I bought a really soft black cardigan for $10 and my sister has been wearing it everyday since I bought it!! I checked out the painting section and was amazed. Will definitely be returning to buy a painting. I also liked that the store was clean. read more

This specific location produces good products but quality of workers are quite the opposite as they are poorly staffed. Store managers are misguided and falsely price their items as they please with whatever price they think items should be, the one manager I encountered named Mr. Jefferies had no manners and spoke very rudely to his customers. He conducted himself as if he was above everybody else when I was inside the store, just an overall arrogance to his demeanor all because of the red name tag pinned to his T-shirt. If I could recommend anything to further customers is make sure to check the price of all items as they tend to make up prices at this location. read more

I like this Burlington. It's never too crazy. They keep the store pretty neat and clean. I've gone to other Burlingtons and have walked out due to the clutter. I definitely find what I'm looking for at this location. read more

This was my first time visiting this location and I was very disappointed. Unfortunately my young child became ill while I was waiting on line to make my purchase. I called out to get an associate's attention and after several attempts someone finally came to my side, not once during this ordeal did a manager or supervisor come over to see if everything was ok, or offer their services to help expedite my transaction so that I could leave. I asked if I could get some paper towel to clean up the area that was soiled from my child vomiting and at first was told that they didn't have anything to provide me with. (Again I was in the middle of the line waiting to pay) Shortly after a very nice associate provided me with some paper towels and I proceeded to clean up. (Perplexed as to why there was no protocol for clean up and spills... perhaps a cone or sign to caution customers of the wet area) I asked for the lavatory and if it had a changing station and was told no, however there was in fact a changing station in the bathroom. Another associate came and asked if I needed some paper towels, I said yes, she left to go retrieve the item. Upon her return she had nothing and asked if I still needed the paper towel. There were other issues within that 30 minute span that left me completely appalled at the lack of sensitivity, care, or customer service above all. Burlington is a retail store that caters to the whole family selling items for children and adults. read more
