What a great experience attending Yelp event at the Dwaar Chocolate! Rajani Konkipudi, the owner and founder, is a natural educator and her chocolate is in a league of its own! From the minute you walk into this small yet cosy shop you are enveloped with the delicious smell of chocolate that is made by Rajani right here, in the backroom! From the first sentence of her story of origin of her business you can feel the passion she has for her craft and, it's no wonder, she is known from here in Michigan and all the way to Hollywood, as well as throughout chocolatier community. Once you taste Rajani's chocolate, there is no going back to the mainstream "chocolate-wanna-be". Your tastebuds are forever transformed. Thank you, Yelp and Annette for a great event- both delicious and educational (and inspiring).

Excellent bean to bar chocolate. Went to an event that taught us about chocolate where the owner was the speaker/teacher and sampled about 7-8 different chocolates. She really takes pride in her craft and the chocolate taste was excellent. If you get a chance stop by and pick up some bars. The Joy of Julia bar was my favorite with shards of burnt sugar. 70% dark zorzal had an excellent creaminess for a dark and dark Indian koffee had a punch for my coffee loving husband. The mango madness with its heat kick at the end was my son's favorite. Her selection varies as she is a small batch maker so try what you can and see what flavors are there when you go, or order online. I am excited a shop by me is carrying her bars so if you see them I recommend them highly.

This process ended up being one of my favorite parts of the wedding planning process. She was very patient with me and husband and helped us create the perfect combination of flavors. Everyone loved our cake and there was none left! Gwen is a true master in this area and understands what it takes to create a delicious and beautiful cake. She was so fun to work with and answered all of our questions and was kind enough to let us borrow her cake platter/base. I asked my florist to set aside a few pieces for Gwen and she decorated the cake beautifully! I'll let the pictures speak for themselves :)

This is a cake shop that stands out above the rest because of how down to earth the staff is, how customer oriented they are (willing to deliver cakes just about anywhere, but practical about how important it is to eat a cake soon after making it), and how delicious the food is. My fiancé and I have been to several cake shops for our wedding and have very particular goals. Their staff is completely dedicated toward getting it right. I guarantee I'll be getting more cake there. Ask for a yellow cake, mixed berry filling, with pomegranate/raspberry/strawberry. Mmmmm!!

It's off-season and I needed a raspberry tart to use for flavor cues for a client's launch of their new Raspberry Tart Wafer protein bar flavor. Due to a food allergy I didn't want to style the tart myself. I contacted a number of local bakeries as well as Plum Market, Whole Foods, Zingermans and more. None could accommodate my specific request. Finally, I came across sweet dreams and they were able to make me a beautiful raspberry tart to use for my images, based on the appearance, I wanted and in a timely manner. The location and store seem very nice too. And the pastry itself turned out great! Check out the images to see how pretty it was and how perfectly it worked. First to get desserts, then our wedding reception cake and now to enjoy with our kids when we are back in town visiting. Food (A) The desserts are excellent and they have a ton of options. They are sweet but use high quality products Service (A) Super friendly and fast. Value (A) Can get a ton of sweets for the whole family for around $30-$40. Not expensive and not cheap but just right. Just try them out when you are next in town. Not sure what is driving the negative reviews. I would ignore them as one offs and maybe entirely accurate The positive ones are more in line with my experiences Note - I have probably visited nearly 30 times over the last 25+ years

I didn't know it was two restaurants in one. I seriously thought LiveBait they sold fishing things lol. The decor is interesting, not sure the look they are going fur. But it doesn't give Italian to me. But, it's a very cool pop chic design so it works well. Food was ok. The pizza was good, but it was saggy. Could have been more crispy. Next time I would ask for it to be more done. But, it had a good flavors. The pesto was nut free which works well. Lobster roll I want a fan. They used langostino lobster which is not even really lobster, more like a cousin. It said Connecticut style so I was hoping claw meat. The bread was very good. I barely tasted the aioli on it which sucked. My fries were suppose to have old bay seasoning but they didn't. The waitress was nice and so was the person at the door. The were very friendly sweet and accommodating people.
