Lenox Hill Radiology - Rockland - Iv line after the MRI, stay away from such a place

    Lenox Hill Radiology - Rockland

On August 7th, I,, was scheduled for an MRI of the brain. During the preparation process, I was…read morecalled in by a nurse (or staff member) to have an IV line inserted. While she was attempting to insert the IV, I experienced an immediate and severe nerve pain--a shock-like sensation radiating to my middle finger. This pain has persisted since that moment, accompanied by tingling and discomfort. The nurse remarked that she had never encountered such a reaction before. She made multiple attempts to insert the IV, and during one of these attempts, the nerve pain occurred. Since then, I have continued to experience ongoing symptoms.

Just an update as per Steve K response to my review to call to discuss further…read more I m doing this to protect other patients of the ongoing misleading hidden fees they are charging for services without telling the patients. And giving you the impression it is a copay n just sign the Pin pad. Someone returned my call. Said she will have someone from the Rockland location call me back to discuss further. A Teacy Lia called and upon my explanation I was giving since 9/3, she said, I already signed for the service n cannot refund me my money. She can make a note in my file I do not wish thst service. When I reacted, she then said, oh, I said I will see what I can do. Lies, lies, lies. She is claiming no one will never mislead me there. Am I a fool to be stressing myself out for a refund if I agreed and understand what I am signing for. Once again I explained to her, I signed because I asked the question if I have a copay n the rep said , " yes" $40.00 sign the pin pad. Unfortunately, we trust these ppl without double checking to make sure no hidden information. I thought I m signing to acknowledge a copay not an additional service that my insurance does not cover. I dont need any additional services. I m clean. Tracy was rude to me n told me I am lying on her staff. And she bluntly refused to give me my refund. She said, I can take a lawyer if I find one to represent me. Upon arguing with her, she slammed the phone down on me. Yep, this is the type of service you get after your money is being taken from you wrongfully... She even said, you dont need to come back here for the service. Yes, these are the kind of people LHR have on their team to give customers service/patients satisfaction.... I hope people are reading my reviews n make wise decisions. Do not sign anything without checking. Copay ask them to bill you. I learned my lessons. I will never pay anyone again copay. I will let them bill me because what the employee s of LHR in Rockland is doing to patients. Not telling us the truth. This location are misleading patients. Not sure if it is a requirement how to approach these additional services to get money from patients. 18 Squadron Blvd, New City. Do not trust them. Nice workers, but there is something behind that nice approach that patients are being mislead by. Be smart, n wise. Do not sign anything without reading or questioning. I might not get my money back as stated rudely by Tracy Lia; But thr this review i will save a lot of $40. Dollars from being taken innocently from patients.

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU BROKE A BONE! I hurt my foot. I went to an Urgent Care Center in Somers. They…read morewere listed as doing xrays. I get there to be told there are no techs who can read it, there aren't any urgent care centers that have techs available at the moment (there is a shortage), and that I should go to Yorktown Imaging. They were very nice there and I have no compaint about them. I went to Yorktown Imaging at 6:30pm and got an xray. They even gave me a disk. They told me it would be on my portal that night. Mind you, I'm driving about an hour now with a possible broken bone in my right foot. No, there is no one who can take me. That is beyond my control at the moment. I get to Yorktown Imaging around 6:30pm and they take an xray. They told me I would get a result that night. Never happened. The urgent care center called them, and they were told it would take 3-5 days to get it read because they were not part of Northwell Health. Yorktown Imaging was fully aware that I went to an Urgent Care Center that was not part of Northwell Health, and that my doctor was not a part of Northwell Health. I told them my doctor is part of Optum. They told me that they can read their system no problem. Since the doctor who wrote the script was from the Urgent Care place, they kept telling me the results would be sent to them, even though I filled out the form telling them where to send it to my doctors with their name and phone number. They didn't really care about anything else and seemed to be keeping to the 3-5 days to read it. I had numerous nurses call them trying to get the results. It took a total of 22 hours, and 3 solid hours of phone calls from me to get the results read. This was for a possible broken bone that was very painful. I would have gone to the ER, but it was a much farther drive, and all highway driving. I thought it would be faster (and cheaper) to go to an urgent care office. I am immunocompromised and would rather not spend 5 hours in the ER. My bad, eh? After that, I couldn't go to an ER because the insurance company is not going to pay for a second xray and an emergency room visit when I already went to urgent care and had an xray done. And they shouldn't have to. I am so disgusted with how this was handled I can't even contain myself. Yorktown Imaging sucks when it comes to an emergency. The healthcare centers in northern westchester need to get their shit together. No one should have to wait 22 hours to get an x-ray of a possible broken bone read. It is completely unacceptable. And it is the healthcare systems fault, not necessarily the employees, but the radiologist who read the results should have know better.
