This place used to be good. For about three years now, the phones often do not get answered at certain times of the day, which to me is very odd. The MRI technician seemed to be lobotomized frontally; she had no personality, like she didn't care, and her demeanor was one that was very ornery and unprofessional. Every time I go there, it is filled to the brim with patients who all look like they are waiting for their turn in the electric chair. Absolute nonsensical moose droppings. My neurologist told me that they did NOT get the report from this place; this is UNACCEPTABLE!!! This is 4 weeks later...what in the holy hell is this awful unacceptable poop show? The office supervisor basically chided me when I asked for a CD after she said "Did you call before hand, or did you just come in?" Do NOT ever speak in a curt, dictatorial voice like that to ANYONE. Thank God I can advocate for myself, but for patients that can't , I can only hope that they get the right treatment, because I didn't. Wish I had come on here to read reviews before going there. My rating is based mainly on my doctors not getting results back, it's been 3 weeks. Technicians are really good however, tho I did have to go back 2x because of how they did not schedule me for both procedures like they should have at the same time. It was extremely difficult to secure an appointment by the provided number, continuously rang without response. A person called me so that I can schedule appointment the call was disconnected, and I was unable to resume the conversation, after calling back numerous times they didn't even have the decency to call back. I had to visit the location in person to schedule the appointment. Upon showing the front desk my referral, everything seemed fine. However, at the appointment, I was informed that I brought the wrong paperwork Clear instructions on the required documents should have been provided. As a result, I had to reschedule the appointment, which refuse to do. The incompetence displayed was unacceptable. Consider seeking services elsewhere. read more

I dont usually post bad reviews, but the last couple of interactions at HV Imaging were ridiculous. They want you there early sonyou can sit and wait for the reception person to eventually check you in. Maybe they need a back-up person (New Windsor). It is impossible to get through to a person and when you do, they put you on hold. I had an MRI and it took much longer than other facilities for them to read andbreport on the test. Waiting one month for them to figure out how to submit my CT scan for insurance approval... when other local facilities have processed MRI approvals within days. When you call you will be on hold for 30 minutes. When you leave a message for a specific person, they dont return your call and you have to call them again and wait another 20-30 mintues... When I asked why the call wasn't return they attributed this to being short staffed. Meanwhile I have to keep rescheduling my followup appointment with my doctor because I can't get the test he needs to review to determine if I need surgery. One month later I am going to have to find another facility. DONT USE THIS AWFUL PLACE! They don't even know how to submit insurance coverage --even after I gave them the Provider # to seek clearance. It's BC/BS, nothing unusual! read more

The girls sit in the front desk are all rude and disrespectful. If you talk to three of them they will all give you different instructions. I am also in a wheelchair and they do not have anyway to put me on the table for my CT scan. they never advised ahead of time to bring a person that can help put me on the table. Absolutely no handicap accessibility. And they can care less. I highly do not recommend this place. read more

The receptionist in the heart center with glasses is a disgusting rude woman. She talks to everyone with such disrespect and acts like we are all below her, someone needs to fire that woman. I have never in my life met an employee so rude for no reason to strangers. I've heard so many other people in the waiting area say she was rude to them as well. I have been a paient at Hudson Valley Imaging for at least 20 years. They were my go to for all mammography. Not anymore. My annual screening appointment that I had in August was almost impossible to schedule. They don't answer the phone; it just rings and rings. After finally scheduling my appointment I received a letter from them indicating that I had two masses in one breast that needed a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound. This is the first time in 20 years that I was not called about the abnormal results. Again, it was almost impossible to schedule the diagnostic follow-up. At least I was able to get the report and images on disk within a couple of days after the imaging was done. The recommendation was to wait six months for a repeat of the diagnostic imaging. When trying to schedule the follow-up due in February, I called and called. No one ever answered the phone. I went on line and filled out the appointment request. No response. Five days later I finally had someone answer the phone, after it rang 17 times! I had my imaging on Friday, February 7th. For the first time ever I had to wait a half hour for someone to get around to checking me in. During that half hour wait I noticed how fewer employees were working, a number of people were waiting to make an appointment due to how impossible it is to call for an appoinment and the waiting area was packed. I was told to come in for the report and disk on Monday. I went to the New Windsor office late Monday afternoon and was told that the report was not ready. I was also told that the report is not released to the patient until it is sent to the prescribing doctor. The report had not been sent yet and they refused to give me a copy. Mind you, I live an hour north of the New Windsor office.Typically, the report is available the next day. I don't know what has happened to HV Imaging but it is not good. I will be going elsewhere from this point forward. I am so disappointed. read more

My experience here was a nightmare. I needed to go 3 different times for one MRI order because they kept getting it wrong. A huge waste of my time and money. Some of their front desk staff in the New Windsor office are rude. I don't usually write reviews but this was the worst experience I had with a medical facility and want to make sure people are made aware. Unprofessional and incompetent. I even took the time to share my concerns with the manager of the facility. He listened and told me he was going to look into it and get back to me. I even left a voicemail message for somebody to call me back to make an appointment and they never did so I was forced to go somewhere else. To whom it may concern On June 13 at 10:30 a.m. I Rimer Cardillo was scheduled to have an MRI done at Hudson Valley Imagine in New Windsor. The experience was highly controversial. The front desk staff was wonderful. But the nurse in charge of doing the MRI was very bad, she told me absolutely nothing about how the procedure was going to be, she only told me: "lie there and do not move." She gave me tiny plastic ear muffs. I was without moving for (12 minutes later I found out). I woke up absolutely dizzy as I had to put up with all kinds of huge noises. Service at the facility is good. However, try and get some to answer the phone when you call! Forget it!! If they do answer you immediately get put on hold and then stay there until you have to have up. It did not used to be this way but now it is terrible!! read more

HV Imaging over books their appointments. The wait time is very very long. Emergencies are understood but making someone wait for over 30 mintues up to an hour or more is excessive. Also had a procedure scheduled and the techs asked the patient to insert the probe to do the procedure. Very unprofessional. read more

RUDE RUDE RUDE office staff, every time I've been there, this visit included. The technicians are very nice and professional however. Been trying for 2 days to get a copy of a very important scan - it is done, their patient portal IS NOT WORKING, I spent the entire day yesterday trying to access my own files, even called them numerous times to change password, etc. but it is not working and I was told it is a computer glitch on their end - oh well. Today I was transferred to 4 different people, NOONE gives a shit about anything except rushing thru what they are doing...every excuse under the sun about why they can't release my own records to me. I AM ENTITLED TO MY RECORDS! Now it's HIPPA this and ID that, they want me to come in person (I cant drive right now and there is 10 inches of snow outside), can't send anyone else to get them either because I have to show ID. Can't send them electronically even though they want you to include every single way they can get ...in touch with you on your file..They threw tons of paperwork in front of me to sign regarding HIPPA, while the snot checking me in rolled her eyes because I was actually reading what I was signing and I was apparently taking too much of her time. I will now have to get additional tests done (PET scans/ follow up CT SCANS) and I WILL NOT be bringing that business back to these people ever again. So went in for MRI due to loss of hearing. Doc wanted to make sure that a tumor is not the cause. There were 3 people in the room while I was being asked by the tech the reason. Explained to her loss of hearing. A gentleman chimed up and said I only have loss of hearing when woman speak so I wanted to file a complaint. Finally get a call back from the director of the facility after my daughter called as well. He explained to me that it was him that made the comment and what can he do for me. Told him I wanted to speak to his boss and was promptly told that wasn't happening and I have to deal with him. After going in circles for a few minutes and few choice words I hung up. Find it completely unprofessional to make comments like this and that woman were also present when comment was made. Both officer manager and director need to be held accountable for this. I went to Hudson Valley Imaging for a Pet Scan. This is my fourth so I know what to expect. Everything went smoothly as usual from scheduling to check-in to pre-meds for the test. I had never had an issue before but I had a bit of a claustrophobic episode when the actual PET Scan started. Mara and Mark were great and helped me to calm down, they put on some music, suggested some visualizations to try and helped me to make it through the test. Can't thank them enough for being so patient, understanding and helpful! read more

AWFUL! Scheduled a test for my 74 yr old mother and it ended up being the worst Imaging experience. Why? Scheduling 1.They failed to give me proper preparatory instructions for her test (how to prepare night before) so it didn't go well. 2.They did not provide length of test and what it entailed. It was lengthy and disrupted our whole day. 3.Their telephone personnel fails to have the training they need to adequately respond to calls beyond scheduling. E.g I got no where with trying to get info on my mom re: out patient test. Customer Care: They have 2 offices- one in Monroe, the other in New Windsor BUT one telephone line. 1.You never know which location you end up calling because staff who pick up DON'T identify the office you are calling until you ask. So trying to find out about a patient is not made easy. 2. Staff has not been trained for basic customer service or given the latitude to answer questions outside of scheduling. I called the Monroe office to ask if my mother had finished her test but spent over 25 minutes ON HOLD, THREE different times I called. 3. I contacted the owner of the company for help and to share my experience. He did help get the information I needed BUT did NOT want to hear about my negative experience even though HE had to intervene to HELP ME get what I needed. I am still flabbergasted by his response. As a seasoned professional with expertise in Customer Service, I can tell you that quality patient care has to come from the highest level of management (owner, CEO etc). If it doesn't, you will NOT get the quality care you are entitled to. Instead, you get my awful experience. Therefore, choose another provider. There are a few good imaging locations in Monroe and in this county. I'm going to look elsewhere too. Good luck read more

What normally takes 45 minutes for an female ultrasound took 3 hours. Normal protocol is to sit in a waiting room naked with a robe on with everyone sitting around. It is embarrassing and uncomfortable, especially if you have your period. read more

The parking is ample and the waiting room is pretty good with a couple of tvs to keep you distracted as you wait to get your tests done .. I was given a cd after my test was over as per my request. Came here for a simple ultrasound on the recommendation of the prescribing doctor. It was a terrible experience from start to finish. Receptionists are cold and robotic and seem very annoyed by patients' presence. There was a mixup with my scrip, and the receptionist proceeded to degrade my physician's practice and wish me luck getting seen that day. I rescheduled for the following week with the right scrip, but somehow things went even worse the second time. The waiting and reception area are chaotic. Throngs of people rushing around behind the desk, crowded waiting room, an air of confusion and misdirection hanging over everything. I ended up waiting 90 minutes for an ultrasound that took less than 5 minutes. The techs were fine--quick, efficient, and not chatty, but at that point I was in no mood to chat with anyone and wanted to get out of this place as soon as I could. If you want caring, personal attention, or if you generally don't enjoy being treated like a nuisance by the people who could potentially be delivering you devastating news about your health in the next few days, go somewhere else. i called a month ago to schedule a x-ray. i was advise i didnt need to schedule x-ray that they walk ins were . i went in today to get x-ray and advised that it would be 45 minutes. after 45 minutes i asked about my x-rays . i was told that i had to wait longer because people that had scheduled appointments had precedent over walk ins and i would be fit in when appointments were done. i told them i called a month ago and was advised i didnt need app. for x-ray. i was told thats correct you cant schedule an x-ray and all other imaging take precedent over x-ray. they need to change the policy. had to wait 1.5 hours to get a five minute x-ray. this is totally unacceptable. either allow scheduled x-rays or put staff on to handle the walk ins. i am not a second class patient. . read more

Very unprofessional - due to an error on their end we waited five hours while they "tried" to help us. Once they said the problem was fixed they told us they could no longer see my daughter because of other appts and how late it was. Meanwhile the entire time we were waiting they said not to worry they would squeeze her in once the problem was resolved. I had a major issue at this facility many years ago due to a male employee who was (on more than one occasion, for absolutely NO reason) wandering around in the Women's Imaging area being a complete ass, making lewd comments, making myself and other women waiting very uncomfortable. I did bring it to the staff's attention, it was addressed immediately and followed up on by the management but I did not feel comfortable returning back then. I decided that I would give them a try again all these years later because they really did have great Mammogram technicians and the facility is close to home and convenient for me so I called to set up an appointment. The female on the phone was obnoxiously rude, rushed, arrogant, snotty & unprofessional - I let it go, just ignored her and made my appointment. Yesterday I arrived for my appointment, 15 min early as requested, and that same female was the check-in person at the front desk. I know this because the minute she opened her mouth, it was the same rude, nasty, short, snippy arrogant voice and she was beyond unprofessional from the second I stepped up to the counter. I did nothing but say hello and give my name. She was so blatantly and unprofessionally rude over and over (between her words, attitude, shrugs, eyerolls, interruptions because she was doing other things while checking me in, cutting me off, snarky remarks, rushed sloppy behavior, interrupting to address other patients, employees and phone calls and the fact that she repeatedly yelled out to other employees talking over me while I was answering her questions, that I actually stopped talking and said to her that she was the rudest receptionist I had ever seen and I then asked her what her name was (her name tag was covered by her hair) - she just rolled her eyes and in her best, phoniest, over the top sarcastic voice said "Alexis". This female never once even looked up to address me, she talked AT me while staring at the computer, she never said hello, she didn't explain anything - she just fired off questions and, in some cases where I was asked to make a decision about options I was being given, she didn't properly give me the information necessary to make those decisions - she was beyond frustrating, inconsiderate and unhelpful. What a horrible first impression she gives to patients who come to this facility for their imaging needs and, in my case, I may have done those additional tests if she wasnt so disrespectful and inconsiderate about taking a few seconds of her time to explain things to patients. Also, there were no other patients waiting to check in so it wasn't like she was rushing and in such a big hurry because there was a lot of others waiting - there wasn't. On a more positive note, the Technician who did my mammogram was awesome from start to finish. She was professional, helpful, thorough, respectful, informative and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, I received all of my personal discs/reports back and she provided all the information necessary for me to make conscious decisions regarding my care/needs/other options. It was my fault that I did not get her name but she is highly recommended. I hope that Hudson Valley Imaging takes the time and watches/observes how Alexis interacts with/treats their potential patients, both in person and on the phone - she didn't care one bit that I called it to her attention about how, (I was interpreting, in my opinion) rudely she was coming across to me. I've gone to this place for quite a few x-rays and sonograms and mammograms. I've had a problem with the person on the phone once--no big deal, just slightly abrupt. I have always had a positive experience here, as they seem to know what they are doing. I did have a really bad experience at one of the other Newburgh imaging centers-so this place is awesome to me! ###recently went here for an mri--got in very quickly--but must say, the tech who put me in the machine really didn't explain ANYTHING about what was going to happen. Fortunately I had read everything about it online--but I think if someone got in that thing with no idea about what was going on--they would have been terrified. The tech was gone when I was done--some other person got me out and sent me on my way... read more
