Their Holiday menu consisted of the Hazelnut Mocha Truffle, their Candy Cane classics, the Holiday Cookie and my new personal favorite - the Mistletoe Rebel! I normally love this location. It is one of the better price locations and normally their customer service is wonderful. They do have a really bad habit of not managing the lines well and normally I give good reviews but my most recent visits the cars cut upon trying to explain that most specially with the lines already long because it's sticker day the young woman that takes the orders wasn't trying to hear my concern and I couldn't wait another hour for more people to cut in front of me. With the vast majority of coffee chains in and around the greater Sacramento area, it seems as if "Dutch Bros Coffee" has definitely put themselves in all different neighborhoods. This location which opened in late-2021 is situated right at the corner of Howe Ave and Hurley Way in the heart of the Arden-Arcade neighborhood of Sacramento. Since I haven't lived in this area for quite awhile (I moved to the suburbs in 2016), I've witnessed a ton of changes with new businesses coming in and old businesses closing or getting demolished. Those of you that frequent Dutch Bros already know that they have very extensive hours. This location is no exception as they're opened for business 7 days a week from 5am-10pm and even later closing times on Friday/Saturday. Their coffee/espresso drinks are known for being a bit on the sweeter side as well as a generous assortment of smoothies, energy beverages, chai lattes, lemonades, and kids drinks, much of their menu is a big hit with the younger crowd. However, I don't care for sweetened up drinks and prefer just basic espresso and milk as my beverage of choice. Therefore, I ended up going with an Iced Vanilla Latte (easy on the syrup). Prices here are arguably lower than the competition as this only set me back at $4.75 for a 16 oz. size. The layout is simple as they offer their standard drive-thru window while the traffic flow is easily accessible. The area does get crowded and since this is a major retail area (with Ross, Marshall's, and other stores nearby), keep a lookout for pedestrians. Since I had parked closer to Marshall's, I took advantage of the walk-up area and ordered my drink right there. The employees were polite, courteous, and handed my drink in just a couple minutes. Therefore, everything at this "Dutch Bros Coffee" checked out good. With that said and done, I am giving the Howe/Hurley Dutch Bros an above average four-star rating. read more

Fine, just keep putting Dutch Bros locations closer and closer to me, directly in the path of my normally scheduled activities why don't you? I certainly won't mind at all. This is one of the more convenient Dutch Bros locations, and it's hard for me not to stop here every time I'm in the area. If you download the phone app, it'll give you even more excuses to stop. D'oh. Recently I was doing some weekend errands and stopped in for my caffeine dosage. I am a sucker for the holiday drinks, so when I saw that Merry Mischief Rebel poster, I could not help myself. Doesn't that also sound like Loki to you? Well it did to this nerd. Lokius even. Heh. Anyway, I went for the blended rebel, and the Merry Mischief had raspberry and strawberry flavor with sour green apple foam top. The foam top thingie is relatively new to me, and kind of bizarre, but it's a tasty treat for sometimes. I like how it half melts into the liquid, but leaves you some to lick off later, if that is your thing. Jenny P. loved this drink! It had her referring to herself in the third person. It was VERY sugary sweet though, dang. I would do a smaller one if I get one ever again. Tip. If you want more energy drink taste, fewer calories, and less sweet, go for the iced rebel as opposed to the blended. A note for me and whoever is reading and needs reminding. Mostly me who needs reminding, lol. The rebels are for when I'm not in the mood for coffee but I still need a pick me up. Yeah I know I shouldn't have energy drinks as often as I do, yolo you only live once county. The rebel is the DB answer to energy drinks, and you can order them infused with endless fruit flavor combos. Not a lot to say for ambiance as this is an outdoor only coffee hut. It's one of the newer locations that I am aware of, so it still has that clean, shiny appearance. This location has two lanes possible for drive thru, and the friendly staff that I can expect when I visit. It is positioned well in the parking lot attached to Crunch, as if someone had a care to think about possible traffic jams. Nice. I was in and out with the quickness, and on to my next task with sugar and caffeine levels at max. Still a Dutch Bros fan, can't change me. read more

I've always been a huge fan of Dutch Bros, and it's my go-to for a pick-me-up. I usually order a small, iced Vampire Slayer green tea with light blue raspberry, and it's typically spot on. Lately, though, the drink hasn't been quite right, which has been disappointing considering the significant price increases. Yesterday, after a long drive back into Sacramento, I was really looking forward to my usual. I ended up waiting in a ridiculously long line, and when it got to be my turn, the customer service was definitely lacking. The Broista seemed a little checked out, and it was clear they weren't focused on getting things right, just getting through the line. When I finally got home and took a sip, I realized my drink was wrong--basically just blue raspberry green tea, no sign of the Vampire Slayer flavors, and it was super watered down. I was frustrated, especially after such a long wait, and not getting what I ordered just made it worse. To top it off, I used a gift card and now feel like I just wasted my money here one too many times. I've had great experiences with Dutch Bros in the past, but this visit really missed the mark (along with my last few visits at this location). Hopefully things improve, but for now, I won't be stopping by as often. read more

I've only ever come here twice due to the distance but each time the customer service blows me away. This location has some of the most friendly employees I've ever seen working at a business. I went there about 20 minutes ago and used the drivethru. I asked the friendly employee to surprise me since I wasn't familiar with the place. She was incredibly helpful in helping me make a decision. I can't recall what was ordered but it tastes amazing. When I proceeded to pickup my drink at the window the entire staff team greeted me, not just the one handling the window. They appeared genuinely happy and welcoming and took a genuine interest in how I was doing and even wished me a Happy Birthday. This place deserves five stars. Everyone here is amazing. So glad they opened a location here !! Like any Dutch bros, expect a long drive thru line, but it still goes by pretty fast. Although there can be a long line, at least there is a large parking lot so when it wraps around you are not on the street. Again, it goes by fast! I also came during our winter storm and the person taking my order still had a smile on his face (even in the rain) and the best part was he had a well built rain suit tent/pod? (best way I could describe it) for those standing outside (too bad I didn't take a picture but it was brilliant and hands free!). Some drinks I've tried at this location: 1) Orange groove freeze -This is one of my favorite drinks at dutch bro and love the soft top cream on top. Although it was a sessional special drink, they were still able to make it off season for me. -I know what you are thinking, orange in coffee? YES, it is an odd perfect blend, but I'm loving it! The orange is subtle, but it works and taste absolutely delicious! -This was the first drink that I tried their soft top and would recommend to add it to all their freezes! 2) Cookie dough freeze -Delicious! Taste exactly like cookie dough. 3) White chocolate lavender freeze -Was quite surprised how potent the lavender flavor was! It was a sweet floral taste, but not too pungent floral. This is probably one of THE WORST locations I've ever been to. First off the lines weren't even that bad but me and my friends waited almost 30 minutes for our drinks. AND they said my card was getting declined I was thinking there is no way I just got paid and had more than enough money to pay for 3 drinks. Second time we tried my card she said it again but I showed her on my account right after we did it, it showed pending in my account and she said well that's weird because my iPad said it wasn't taken. So we tried it at the window said the same thing and she reassured me it shouldn't get taken from your account SURE ENOUGH the next day it posted and she told me to come back if it does get taken so they can void the transaction so I did and they told me it was voided and it should be back in my account well it's been a week and has not yet to be back to my account and talking to their corporate is a joke so I disputed the charge with my bank I'm just more upset because I don't normally go to this location and I love Dutch but just proves to me I should stick to my ONE location I always go to it just gets me feeling like this location was trying to scam me and my friends by charging my card saying it was declined then end up charging my friends card so they can get double the money but NICE TRY read more

We order the same (2) drinks every time, whether it is sunny, rainy, cold or hot outside, a medium Golden Eagle Freeze with 2 extra shots with whip and no carmel drizzle is our to go drink and the DB on Howe Ave is the place to go. I swore they had a thousand drinks on their online menu last time I went... lol I am definitely over-exaggerating BUT they do have 100+ if you look through all of the options online. Kinda overwhelming, but good to have lots of variety in flavors, plus you can custom make your own into a iced drink or a freeze. I recently tried the ba-nay-nay & the BOB - both very similar with a mixture of chocolate, dark chocolate, and coconut. Half sweet was perfect. Loved the light flavor. I love anything chocolate & banana. If you're looking for something stronger, I'd suggest adding an extra shot! Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Dutch Bros is a drive thru only, or at least all the ones I've been to. The line does go by fairly quickly as the workers are outside with iPads taking orders to make the line move smoothly. One small ice carmel pumpkin brûlée and one small hot German chocolate both with oatmilk. The guy that took our order said $11.99 and we mentioned the promo and he apologized and remembered so then the he said the final price was $10.50. We're not sure why it cost so much, we asked the cashier and she said it was because the alternate milk add on and soft tip add on the Carmel brûlée. But didn't the brûlée already come with soft top??? It was all confusing and not really sure what we were charged for.... usual we enjoy coming here and drinks are good but the person who orders drinks really makes or breaks how the outcome is.. we can tell if someone's new and might need more training as when we get to the window and they repeat the order something is usually off after repeating multiple times to barista in the drive thru. Not a bad thing i just need think repeating the orders and being comfortable doing that really helps the customer feel confident and trusts the barista really wants to make sure we have the right drink. read more

It's finally Friday!!! I can add another finally to my answered prayers: the newest (and closest to me) Dutch Bros on Sac is now open to fulfill all my caffeine needs!! I stopped by the drive thru a during my lunch break. There was no long lines, which was great. They have two lanes typical of any Dutch Bros with friendly staff helping to pick your caffeinated drink of choice. I even received an unexpected discount when the gal helping me saw me in my medical scrubs (grand opening special maybe?) Which adds the cherry on top of being halfway thru the work day, on a Friday. It's my first time to try Dutch Bros Coffee. I got the Caramelizer and it tasted like a caramel shake drink. I'm under the impression that it has caffeine since I particularly asked the lady who took my order if it has caffeine. Maybe it does since I felt energized and awake all night.
