When I got my drink, it was a "CREAM" frapp without any coffee. So I let one of the baristas know and she told me that it would be runny if I had it with decaf coffee. I said "Yah, I wanted decaf in it." Then she said, "We don't actually put coffee in our frapps here." I became confused and said, "Why not??" Then she continued, "Because they get runny." Then I said, "But I've always ordered it this way at other Starbucks without any problems." (This time, with a slight attitude not understanding why they wouldn't put coffee in their frapps). Then she finally understood and said "Ok." Any of that didn't make any sense. And while the other baristas were making the coffee, they would chat, stop, and chat some more while the customers pile up waiting for their orders, without any sense of urgency to work faster. The gentleman who was taking care of us was attentive without being pushy. We started with the fried pickles which came out with ranch and aïoli for dipping. It was a huge portion. Tasty indeed. While I know pickles are inherently salty, I did find these to be exceptionally salty, leaving me to wonder if the batter was also salted, which definitely would not be necessary. Just know that if you are planning on ordering them. We also both got the Smoked Steak Salad. The salad was fresh and nicely dressed. Both of them came with a very generous serving of meat. The meat was just OK. They do not ask you how you would like your steak cooked, so once I got it, that made sense. I'm guessing they don't just smoke it for a little bit and finish the cooking it another way because it is well done with some rough bits - perhaps leftovers from something else. Honestly, I would prefer to have a nice juicy steak on top of a salad, and while I enjoyed this enough, I probably would not get it again for this reason. We both got a beer flight too, and found all four choices to be really good! I will definitely come back here when I'm tired of options at Great Wolf. We had a 1 year old and a 2.5 year old babies with us, we got there at 5:15pm and left at 8pm with no Main Course, we decided to leave and they offered to give us our main dishes for free and that had to pay for our apps and drinks. At that point, we weren't even hungry anymore- we were more upset than hungry. Word of Advise- don't dismiss a table of 5 for a table of 20. That party of 20 already includes 16%-18% Gratuity on their Tab, whereas a table of 5 could be giving you 20%-25% Gratuity for yourself only & not to have to share with other servers esp. if you are given cash. That table of 5 could sit there for hours just sitting and chatting and won't turn the tables over to new guest, whereas a table of 5 can eat, enjoy their meal, give good tip and leave within an hour and a half. And you'll have new table instantly, more money for you. To the kitchen staff, don't walk past your guests when they're asking you a question and as if they didn't exist. I'd hate to think it's Race Discrimination because we were the only Asians there but that's definitely how it felt.

My husband bought it as a Christmas gift after I wouldn't shut up about Kingsolver's book, "Animal, Vegetable, Miracle." Happy Hen delivers, which is SO cool for a working-mom-who-cooks-most-nights. Every week is like Christmas all over, and we are getting to try veggies we've never had - like garlic scapes (the top green part) and some tuber I can't remember the name of. Our subscription includes weekly free-range eggs, and other occasional treats like bread, honey, organic walnuts, and an end of season tea towel. My boyfriend told me that anytime he passes by that the parking lot is always filled, and even when we were coming in, the parking lot was full and there were definitely some interesting parking choices made by others. We were able to get parking and as we entered we were greeted warmly by staff. Luckily, there was a small table for us so we were seated right away with menus. The staff here are on point with checking in at the perfect times and they always do a sweep for coffee and water refills, to see if anyone needs anything or anything else. They are also so friendly and seem to know their regulars well too. The bathroom is well-maintained and even has a changing station. I got the strawberry lemonade and the biscuits and gravy combo that comes with eggs, hash browns, and ham while my boyfriend got the chicken club sandwich. The drink arrived immediately and not even after a few minutes did our food arrive. The pictures and reviews did not lie, the portions were huge and the food tasted great especially for the price. You do pay at the front once they drop off the tab. I do also appreciate that they sell some local goods from honey, sauces, jewelry and other neat things.
