The smoothie I ordered was the largest size and protein powder was already added. The total bill was over $10, which it's a bit high. The taste was good, not too much ice was added within the blend. Make sure you download their app as well because they run occasional freebies and promotions. My main gripe about Tropical Smoothie Cafe is their prices because most smoothies end up being around $8 after taxes. They do use fresh fruit and ingredients, which can help justify the prices. If it's your first time here, definitely give the Mango Monsoon or Detox Island Green a try; they are both refreshing and flavorful! I also tried the Cali breakfast flatbread with grilled chicken, and it was toasted well and flavorful. There wasn't much grilled chicken included, and there could have been more avocado as well. Overall, Tropical Smoothie Cafe is a good addition to Edinburg, so keep an eye out for any promotions that they run!

I have talked to some colleagues, and they commented that it's very small in portion. But if you are on a weight restriction, then this is probably it. The taste was ok, nothing spectacular. Microwaving the food in the container definitely isn't going to enhance the taste. The food didn't taste stale nor foul, so that's a plus. Overall, I could have done better prepped food myself in portion and taste. I'm going to give this a 3 star as mediocre. I personally wouldn't try again, knowing I could get a lot more for $10.

If I could leave a ZERO star, I would…read more I ordered from this restaurant for myself and my 93 year old mother. I was expecting my cousin to come visit, so I ordered her a salad as well. I ordered it for delivery, even though the restaurant is not very far, because it is difficult to take a 93 year old in and out of a car. The food was delivered by UBER eats. No issues with the delivery. When I unpacked the food, I realized that we were not given the salad dressings that go with the salads. For example, one of the salads was the THai salad which comes with a peanut dressing, and no dressing. I called the restaurant and was told by the person answering the phone that they were sorry, but what would I like them to do about it? I said I ordered salads that were supposed to have dressings and I don't have any dressings. He said I could drive over and pick some ip if I wanted to. I asked him why he thought I would pay for delivery of the food in the first place if I could drive over and pick it up? He said well we can do anything about it. Sorry. Then we go to the food. I tried to make the best of it and pick out some pieces and see what kind of dressing was at the house. The lettuce had orange tips on it... not very fresh. The was sliced so thin it was wilty. And the worse part of it all was the quesadilla I ordered. It was so tough I tried to cut it into small pieces to see if my mother could eat it, but it was inedible. Super disgusting . I will never order from this restaurant again. I recognize that in the food business you cannot always please everyone, but this was an epic fail. I guess smoothies are the only thing they take pride in. Disappointing. Ps. Some of the pictures below are from food pulled out of the trash can, because I did t think to take a picture before throwing it out. Double gross !!!
