Sarah is a remarkable chef and DK could teach a master class on hospitality. Those two things combined are part of the reason their businesses, White Rabbit, Petite 4 and prior to that the downtown sandwich shop Bleu Bird (in the space now occupied by Lemon Tree) were so popular. The Kellys say they are staying in Boise and that is a good thing for all of us who like to eat; to see where their creativity will take them. In the meantime, the Rex's have built a wonderful restaurant empire of successful, quality enterprises in less than 10 years since relocating to Boise from California. Best known among them is The Wylder and Percy, both in downtown Boise, but they also own others including Wyld Child that is in the same neighborhood as White Rabbit. So it is very good news for people who love good food in Boise, that the Rex's are the people who the Kelly's contacted to buy their beloved buildiong. It is early days but new owners suggest they will do an Italian themed pizza and pasta eatery.

I arrived before my scheduled pickup time and was fortunate enough to watch Joann prepare my drink. I watched her look directly at the sticker on my cup, add oat milk instead, and then realize her mistake and top it off with almond milk. Thankfully, I was there watching and caught the mistake before drinking it. I asked Joann to remake my drink correctly with almond milk, explaining that I cannot have oat milk. Instead of handling the situation professionally, she looked at me and rolled her eyes. That kind of attitude is completely unacceptable, especially when a customer is bringing attention to an order that could affect their health. I went to the store manager to report the situation because this is more than just getting someone's drink wrong. I used to work for Starbucks, so I understand how important it is to read the stickers carefully, follow customization requests, and take allergies and dietary restrictions seriously. Mistakes can happen, but how you handle them matters just as much. Customers should be able to trust that their drinks are being made correctly, especially when they clearly specify a milk alternative for health reasons. I understand that this is a smaller location, but that should never be an excuse for carelessness or poor customer service. I hope management takes this seriously and addresses the importance of order accuracy, allergy awareness, and treating customers with respect.

All balanced in espresso, sweetness and cream. One of the perks of going to a joint like Starbucks is that it's usually pretty consistent. All my drinks are pretty close the same every time. On occasion I'll get a drink that doesn't quite meet the mark but for the most part it always hits spot. It was nice sitting outside, enjoying the heat some sippin on my drink. I haven't been to this location for a long time so it was nice to kick it and absorb the vibe. I look forward to another caffeinated beverage while I'm this area.
