We…read morecurrently live in Louisiana, but were visiting in Texas on the way out of town for a road trip. They estimated that my repair time would be approximately 3-4 hours. It took a little over 6 hours to repair the vehicle. They charged just over $1,100 to replace just the compressor. I left for a road trip to Colorado the next day from Mansfield. Approx. 5 hours into a 12-hour drive, the AC stopped working again. Turns out the condenser failed as well. At the time, I was not aware that they didn't replace the whole unit, especially with the price they charged. I called, and the shop said they would get me in as soon as possible, but they aren't open on weekends. I had to drive the remainder of the drive in summer with no AC, and the entire 12-hour drive back to Texas after our road trip was over. We waited until Monday because they aren't open on weekends and brought in the vehicle first thing Monday morning. Had to call off work to wait around for them to fix the AC. Approximately 2 hours later, the shop informed us that the AC was repaired. It was still late morning, so it was relatively cool. About 30-45 minutes into the drive, we realized that the AC was still not functioning properly. Upon calling and returning to the shop again, they informed us that they didn't actually repair anything; they just pressed the AC button, felt cool air, and determined that the AC was functioning properly. It was still broken. We left the vehicle with them the same day and overnight to fix it the next day. They informed us they couldn't diagnose the issue or start repairs on Monday because it wasn't "hot enough" outside. They never called us with any updates during all of these repairs; we were always the ones who had to reach out for updates. On Tuesday, they didn't give us an update until 3:30 in the afternoon after waiting around all day again and having to call off work. They informed us that the condenser failed and that they didn't replace it before, and wanted to charge us another $ 700-ish to replace the condenser. I informed them that I was displeased with the delays and service that we'd received so far, and that we couldn't miss any more work (we live out of town). A service rep told us, "I've had my car repaired many times, and I've never missed work over it; there's Uber and lots of ways you could figure out how to still work". In a respectful and calm demeanor, I informed the rep that I would be giving a negative review online for my negative experience with their business, and he could not have cared less. The overall poor communication, slow service times, disrespectful comments towards my wife and me, and failure to properly diagnose the problem and solve it on multiple occasions led to this poor rating. Highly recommend avoiding this business at all costs.
