However, Anna has given up the business and Irene is there only on Fridays. Today, I went in to pick up my sunglasses, and the man there now is the rudest person I have ever come across. He was trying to serve me while talking long distance at the same time! He got very irritated with me when I tried to talk to him, interrupting me all the time , and actually said I was the rude one. Ratas will no longer be getting my business, up will pop in on a Friday once in a while to see Irene. A final note, this man has no clue about glasses or style judging by the new collection now. If you feel you have to stay loyal, go on a Friday when Irene is there. I would give it zero stars if I could.

Second, the lens coatings didn't match, one was yellow, the other blue. That was corrected but it took time. Frustration. Third, the nose clips broke off the frames. I bought a replacement frame. Fourth, the transition coating crinkled and crazed forming horizontal lines that make the glasses impossible to wear. The saleslady looked at them and said she couldn't see anything wrong with them and anyway, they've aged so what do I expect?

Kassim patiently worked with me the entire time and graciously tolerated my frustrations as it became clear that the frames I loved weren't going to work. He then helped me choose another pair and provided them as an exchange. Throughout, he remained calm, professional, and committed to finding a solution. To start, I was slightly late for appointment with Dr. Jennifer Trac - literally running to the store because I got lost in the PATH. The staff was super understanding and checked me in very quickly, breezing through my pretest while asking me all the right questions and getting all the relevant information. Allan & Tate were extremely professional but still friendly during my visit. I felt really comfortable & confident in their ability to help me. When I went back to see Dr. Trac, she blew me away with her attention to detail and her ability to easily translate all her results into regular people language that I could understand. She was extremely patient in answering all my questions, and giving me an updated prescription that was definitely needed. Allan is actually a magician and picked out a beautiful pair of frames for me. They are light-weight titanium and suit my face really well, he has a great eye! Tate is the sweetest, he was on the phone with the insurance portal forever because the website for direct billing was down for maintenance when I got there. Their direct billing service is extremely convenient & definitely something I'll look for in the future. My glasses were ready in about a week & a half, which was expected because my prescription is kind of high and I added a lot of features on the lenses. The blue blockers are highly recommended by me if you spend a lot of time on a screen, it's made my eyes fatigue a lot less than they used to. I highly recommend you come! I think they have a discount for Ryerson students which definitely helps on the student budget, but regardless of who you are they definitely take your eye health seriously. Rhonda goes the extra mile for her customers, I have experienced her calling literally all over the globe to track down a particular pair of Chanel Sunglasses. She was provided better customer service than Holts or the Chanel store. Don't let the aesthetic of the store scare you away from this neighbourhood gem. I have been buying my glasses and sunglasses here for years. While I've never used a physical coupon there, I've never had to. They seem to always have amazing sales on. Not to mention she is great at helping with the insurance paperwork. As a frequent shopper on eBay, who is constantly looking out for the best deal around I'm confident in telling you that Roshad Optical is definitely that.
